Not looking for the pros and cons of deposits as that's been sufficiently discussed (IMO). I understand those who refuse to participate in it. My question is whether anyone has had issues using Venmo for a provider's deposit request.  I tried to Venmo a provider and was unable to complete the transaction. The Venmo response was something like, "there's a problem and we are unable to process".
I tried multiple times with the same outcome. I know my Venmo account is good as I recently used it without problems.
It blows because I have the $ to see  this higher end provider, but the process gets overly complicated w/ every new requirement.

AWS had major issues yesterday I believe and Venmo uses them. If you're referring to a problem in that timeframe that was probably the cause.

I was just going to say this. I am taking a class online and it was actually down for most of the day today as well for the same reason. I don't do deposits but I have had a couple of clients pay me via venmo and I have not had any issues receiving the payment. Try again tomorrow and if still not working shoot her a message to check her account on her end.  
And am I the only person that thinks one of these days every computer on the planet is going to take a shit and THEN WHAT?!? Everything is computerized now. Everything.
