Saw (and answered) a post from a provider on the remarkably lonely Colorado Board.  The question was -- which do you prefer, an unclocked dinner date + two hours, or simply the two hours alone?  In other words, if the hobbyist picks up the tab for dinner but doesn't get charged for the provider's time during dinner, is this of interest?

My answer was yes, particularly when travelling.  But boy, do I see both sides of this one.  Time is time and time is money.  A free dinner is nice.  But a provider might (or might not) want to invest an extra two hours on her own dime to (maybe or maybe not) make for a better date later on.  But I totally see the fact that spending time with us hobbyists is not always going to be A-number 1 on a provider's list of things to do.

Having said all that, I have greatly enjoyed the dinner time I've spent with providers.  Some have charged, some haven't, it was all good.

If he is someone that is good to talk to, hey, you got to eat too. If I did that dinner date thing (and I don't), I would prefer the work part first so I can relax over dinner and not have to perform on a full stomach...at no charge, for the dinner portion.

I don't want to be seen in public with some fat old fart and spend my time watching him trying not to lose his false teeth in his dinner all the while making stupid small talk and trying not to yawn.

The practices vary widely. Some providers offer a clock free dinner option plus 2-3 hours BCD for a fixed rate. Others insist on charging for all time spent with a client, which makes perfect sense as a rule. Still others, if they click with a client, are happy to spend time with him without charge to have dinner or see a movie or other civilian type outings, with or without a scheduled session involved. I've not yet paid up for the dinner option but have enjoyed (and shown my appreciation for) the latter option, both with and without a scheduled session. But this has happened only with a very small number of women (2-3). It's really not something to expect and only makes sense in rare cases for all the obvious reasons. But having dinner before a session is a great way to warm the juices and deepen the experience if mutual attraction and personal engagement are high.

At a minimum. give me a fixed price and lets just enjoy each other for the evening.  One of the things I hate most is watching the clock, it detracts from the "natural" flow of the evening.  

Option B that the OP suggests is still a pain because while dinner may be unclocked, I'm still forced to be cognizant of the tick tock in the bedroom.  

One of the best dates I had recently was with a multi-repeat friend.  I booked two hours and told her I'd be paying her a 25% premium on her listed rates.  I also asked that she feel comfortable to leave anytime she wanted to.  Six  hours later we kissed goodnight...well technically good morning and I didn't worry a second about the clock.  

For me much of this comes down to mutual generosity.  Two people that respect each others resources (whether they be time or treasure) and are willing to be mutually generous with both, will find that the resulting experience is enjoyable for all involved.  

Maybe I'm oversimplifying, but it's really not that difficult.

Generally, if  I was a good repeat client she would be ok with having drinks or dinner off the clock. For a first time date I doubt anything would be off the clock. Until you see you have some kind of connection every minute will be on the clock

I've found that ladies that are visiting from out of town like the company if they are not already booked. Dinner, movies, or just hanging around a local bar are all off the clock with out of town ladies. Guess it beats sitting in yet another hotel room, alone, for a night. If your in her home town I find that tends to be more of a business deal. Maybe a 4 hour dated at X rate with a specific amount of BCD time. Dinners like that are tough though because you can never be sure dinner will only take 2 hours so dinner dates usually have more leeway when it comes to "clock-watching". Obviously broad generalizations but thats what my experience has been.

I'll find a different part-time job before feeling like it's a requirement to spend clock free dinner w/ anyone.

1) The men I see are wealthy businessman who respect the business aspect of this game. They are the types who would laugh at a clock-free offer, because they aren't cheap. They're far from lonely.

2) The time I spend on TER is less than an hour a day and intermittent...like quick stints that don't require much time vs. taking an hour at a time to see a client....duh (so glad you care). So since you do care, I quickly check the board for anything new, read maybe two posts on the thread before determining it's not worth my time, then I go back to real life (that's like a five minute break during my real life schedule). OR I quickly reply to a post (still not reading the whole thread and posting without concerns of spelling and grammar errors...I don't have time for that!) and move on. If I decide to later in the day, I'll check back one more time (again like a quick 5 minutes while at a red light or waiting for the grocery clerk). I'm not sitting here all day waiting for your commentary on anything! There are too many other things to attend to.

3) Dinner costs? I spend what I want when I want, which is never contingent on a client, trick or john.

4) All of my clients are special and I've never had a bad date, even if I have only one client who is AMAZING!

I will own that on three occasions I have paid the $2-300 difference between the price of a teo hour session and a four hour dinner date. No regrets. I am not in the $500 per hour league normally, have been with three well known providers in that class.
