Sometimes one or two will do it, but other times it can take up to a dozen, and even then it never happens.
Case in point: I tried to book a gal for an upcoming business meeting I have out of state. I was very clear that it would be an OUTCALL which both her TER profile and her own website says she does. After all the back and forth and lining up references and all, she tells me that she doesn't do outcalls any longer. What a waste of time that was.
I book dates via p411 appointment request. It usually takes 1 reply from the provider to book a date as long as the suggested day/time/duration fits with their schedule. If not, it'll take 1 more reply from the provider to set the date. I use text with regulars. It follows the same pattern as the p411 appointment request.
2. You respond to our initial email with the proper screening criteria. 3. We verify your references or employment verification. 4. You are notified to call and book your appointment. Easy peasy.
you haven’t seen anyone new in years if you move on after only 2 emails.
In my experience, it takes a minimum of two emails by me to book an appointment: the first is my request with my preferred day and time (can be more than one). That email may be generated by P411 if I’m using it for the request. The second is, ideally, my response to the provider’s request to confirm I got her acceptance. And if I used P411, I often have to send a follow up email when the provider doesn’t see the P411 email. That happens a lot for some reason. But often my preferred day and time isn’t available, so there’s at least one more email involved as we agree on a day and time—minimum of 3 emails total before the session is booked. If you’re 2 emails and done, you either are very lucky getting your requested day and time, or you don’t have any flexibility in your schedule.
they want to know to screen and a specific day and time I want to meet, it will often take only one, and at the most, two. I give her time to check my refs before I would follow up, and often I don't have to. Give them everything they usually need to know for a decision so that it makes it a "yes" or "no" answer for her and you will not waste your time or hers. The more she has to pry booking and/or screening information out of you, the less likely it's going to end with an appointment.
