Kiko Wu is quite a looker.
The life of a stripper, too bad she doesn't escort... although I think I'd rather have her be my business manager.
Yes, pretty interesting reading... she does seem to have her act together and a good head on her shoulders, particularly on the financial angle and with the Goddess Digital Media company, pretty impressive... i wish there had been more pictures of her though... lol
Let's get together and link-up! (:

Other excellent sections are Safety and the last two or three paragraphs of Making Money.
Thank you, Cableguy, for sharing this with us.
Well, with websites like the above, you hardly need Suze Orman for financial advice. Actually, no one needs Suze Orman, but that's a whole 'nother thread.
The best analogy that I ever saw for providers was comparing them to professional athletes. The idea being that, while your income can be very high as an escort, your opportunity window is limited to a just a few years. This means that your saving rate has to also be very high.
Implicit in all of this is that the provider declares her income and pay her taxes. This legitimizes her money, and allows her to participate in all of the things we hobbyists take for granted: buying a home, mutual funds, bonds etc.
I particularly liked the advice on buying individual common stocks. Picking a given stock may be fun and sexy, but it's also a good way to lose lots of money. Forget the dot-bomb exercise, look at what's happening to such well-known 'quality' blue chips as Enron, GE, Tyco, IBM, Merck, but why go on. Forget those money-honeys and talking-heads on CNBC touting companies. The best performing stocks/mutual funds for this year have been in gold-mining (up ~40%). I can't remember a single one of these market mavens predicting this at the beginning of the year. A well-diversified, boring portfolio of mutual funds will work better for the long-haul.
I'd much rather watch Kiko Wu than Suze Orman. (God is she annoying, trite... etc.. you're right, that's another thread.) I think it's safe to say ratings would sky rocket for CNBC too.
I checked out her website thanks to John.Galt's post. She seems to be quite the entrepreneur. Actually her financial advice is far better than most of what you'll hear from a Wall Street analyst.
It would have saved me A LOT of "mistakes" my first year in the biz.
This business is so "competitive". I was lucky to have found a top provider (with a "sunny" name, you know who you are) who gave me some GREAT advice. I often see ladies on this (and other) board(s) who ask for advice and no one seems to be helping them. I try to help any lady who asks me questions, I feel there is enough $$$ out there for all of us...besides it's just too draining to be petty and mean.
If we dont "share" information then people like the green river killer http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial3/greenriver/index.html
who killed street walkers (I know some of you guys have contempt for street walkers, but do they deserve to die a brutal death?) and the psycho here in LV a few years ago who raped and tortured an OUTCALL "Agency" girl, then went on a killing spree at the local Supermarket. When ladies get into this business they dont know what to do. They may make "rookie" mistakes that will get them beaten up, robbed, arrested or even killed.
It's dangerous out there ladies, there is no place/room for not sharing information on how this business works and HOW TO STAY SAFE (not personal info on the guys, just how to stay safe). There are providers out there who DONT want to provide references for their clients, or who wont talk to other providers at all. I suppose some providers dont "share" industry info out of jealousy, vanity, fear...???? Does some psycho have to start "picking off" Independents before we wake up? WAKE UP. Help eachother out ladies...it's good for your business (and your Karma).
my .02 cents

it is not out of jealosy, fear, or competitiveness. It is to help protect my privacy. I have always tried to help providers a great deal in other ways.
Please don't be so hasty to judge women who do not engage in the same business practices you do. They may have very good and not bad-intentioned reasons for doing things the way they do.

Not because of jealousy, but because I destroy the info. and then i forget! Sable I've seen instances where referral is not reliable, I've been on the receiving end. Sorry about that, but i just had to say it since this business of referral keeps coming up. I assure clients I screen that I dont keep the info around. They dont want me to. And I dont want to either. So how can I give reliable referrals?
The exception is a regular or just someone who for some reason I remember because of something unusual.
Never had a problem with LL ... course I dont like or talk to anybody anyway, so how can I have a problem? lol. Hey LL ![]()
I am a bit of a privacy monger as well, now that things have gotten so public on their own ... you can see that if you look at my site, I dont publish rates or screening procedures...I'm so freekin anal! At least until I feel better about the general climate. I'm not a pornstar. I'm an escort.

Publishing rates and screening procedures, is this a good or bad practice...The reason I'm asking is because I just finish my new site and uploaded it. I created the site myself and have full ownership of it. I posted my rates and screening procedures and is now in question if it was a good thing...please check out my new site. I can use some good sound advice from all who want to reply.

Dear Performance,
Coming from a woman, I think it's a matter of personal preference. I've tried it the other way with the rates on the site. I'm certain it is more convenient for the client, but I've run into things where I'd just rather ask them to email me...
As for screening, if I go to a template to where required fields must be filled out, then I'd probably have to put my rates on my site...
Again like everything else in this business I think it's about comfort zones.
I hope we all (hobbyist and provider) find answers to our industry problems.

Sable, personally I see nothing to slam you about. I think you have a great attitude of what I have read you post. You make a lot of sound points, in my book, not that i am in the least position to judge.
Like I said in my earlier post, I'm not comfortable with the general climate at this time; I retracted a membership site, and any nudes on my site for awhile. I've sadly perceived some of what you've mentioned happening, and was hoping it was only my perception. And yes, I feel ire towards those who feel that an independent should just accept anyone without any safety gauges. I've spoken up about this, and yet, with all that being said, I'd never on this board responded to you on the subject of referrals, even when you proposed a new screening method ... thoughtfully presented, at that, but I was unable to sit down and respond at that time. Hence my post above showing my side, about the referrals and why in my case it doesnt work at this time. Of course I also have some sensitivity to privacy issues as well.
Now some of us ladies might not give referrals and for varying reasons, but it all ends up with us feeling like we did the prudent thing...and until we know differently, these are our comfort zones, and how we function best.
Now here is a question. In your post your mention of some ladies thinking that they are not safe by giving referrals: I dont know what that's all about, as long as they check with the client and make sure that the provider is really a provider. I have never heard of any legal danger, although I've heard that referring another lady can be construed as pandering. (In our business anything can be construed the way LE says.) Still, I can understand other reasons that would make a provider reluctant to share references.
Finally, thank you for the compliments on my website. (Psst, you'd also be surprised how many clients DONT want busty blondes, at least as busty as me, who are not porn stars)
Certainly there is something for everybody and I guess that is what this is all about. Variety, and availability, and hopefully in the process, a little dignity understanding and consideration from both sides. Oh but to ask for the moon and stars!
Take care and we'll chat more ![]()

Sable, there is info out there for us ladies about safety, there isinfo written by Norma Jean of COYOTE, and some others. Often we dont find this out until the process has batted us about just a bit. There was a provider who did a similar site to Kiko's once, but I cant seem to find it anymore. ![]()
Sometimes a ladies discussion board is good for concerns and issues like this, where we can let our hair down a bit, but obviously, the men have very valuable input, as shown here, and it's evident that some of them do have our interests at heart.![]()
Unfortunately, there is no school geared toward the geisha or courtesan/escort/callgirl that I know of, especially one that encompasses the changing aspects of the business. I imagine it would be poohpoohed out of existence, either through harrassment (much in the manner of abortion clinics), or outright arrest/shutdown.
Otherwise, sites like this are great, thanks to Cableguy for showing it to us ladies. Combine Kiko's site with what you can find on google under COYOTE, and there is some guidance. No reasons women should have to leave themselves open for abuse once they have some info. Even so, I have good things to say about how LE comes to the aid of a woman at the hand of an abuser when she is able to call for help, at least in LA.

My anonymity very is important.
I should not have to explain not justify why, I just don't want to be the topic of conversation, gossip or idle chit-chat.
I really appreciate the fact that Ms Laurel (who is the best provider in the whole world) does not discuss me with anyone.
