and you can wear it another week, cuts down on laundry.

Ba-doom.

But seriously folks....

I too had to resort to finding ways to find more hobbying funds when a co-ocurrance of divorce and business downturn overtook me about seven years ago.

I decide to trim by personal spending to the bone and that meant no more weekly housekeeper (Living alone it's not that hard to keep a place clean and to tell the truth the housekeeper never did a very good job.)

I learned to iron my shirts, so that cut down on the cleaning bills.

I found that chuck steak taste better than sirloin, and that many supermarket brands are as good if not better than the store bought brands.

I cut the cable bill down because I don't watch all the pay channels.

I brown bag leftovers for lunch.  By the way, my health is better since I don't go out to eat as much.

I cancelled subscriptions to magazines I wasn't getting to anyways.

I buy things off the internet, often much cheaper than local retailers, especially vitamins and health and beauty aids.  When you buy enough most places even pick up the shipping charges.

Dollar by dollar it really adds up.  I found thousands of dollars that I could budget to the hobby, which believe me, is a lot more fun than all the other things I was spending money on.

I keep records of what I spend.  There's a saying that what you measure, improves.

Of coure I could do a second job, but then when do I hobby?  I value my free time, and would rather do we a lot less consumption than working more.

By the way, if anyone would care to marry my ex, I'd be much obliged.

In the several markets with which I am familiar, really excellent service from attractive women may be found at rates below the prevailing averages for well reviewed providers.

Often independent Asian and Latina providers are a very good deal on the service to donation ratio. In my area, for example, there is an absolutely stunning young Asian lady who will rock your world for 100 per hour less than her competition.

Also, if you are a veteran, and know how to look out for yourself, don't be afraid of CL and backpage. Several of the best experiences I've had were with ladies who advertised only on CL. Yes, they had at least a couple of reviews. Yes, they were a pain to deal with as they work by phone only - which means it's "first come first served" and no real appointments lol. But these were very good experiences and substantially below the rates normative for well reviewed indies.

Lastly - if you've been in habit of booking longer dates, leave that off. 1hr is plenty of time if you get right down to business and don't let the lady waste any of it.

If you can't get a grant or plan a heist, just learn to make that hobbying dollar go farther.

Live in an area where the pickings are slim to pathetic to down right scary and you have to travel anywhere to find providers and you won't hobby much at all!! Biggest savings going!

Hey guys,

I find myself in a probably common predicament, that I wish I could hobby more, but funds are limited.  So I'm thinking about various ways I might be able to increase my hobby budget...

What have you done to increase your hobby budget?  Postponed some big purchases?  Taken a second job?  Started a side business?  Cut other regular expenses?  Which ones and how?

Everyone ultimately has a budget with the hobby...the question here is really how much can you afford to spend each month/week/day?  Since you're a single guy (I assme based on your alias), you can probably afford more than many who have family commitments.  So in your case, become a Wal-Mart greeter and use those funds for the hobby.  And maybe pare down your food intake to every other day and you will see a marked increase in hobby money.  Just my .02!

- Cut down your 1 hour sessions to  30 minutes.

- Sideline - good idea.  I've done that to earn an extra $$$$ per month

- Don't spend too much on cars.

- Pay off your credit card debts.

- Cut down on other entertainment expenses and non-essentials.

I gotta budget.  I save my extra "pocket money"...  when I get enough I can play.  If not, then I can't.   Self control is vital to long and successful hobby.   Now if any rebate checks come through, they go into my pocket money.

You are a MUCH more dedicated hobbyist than I.

If ever my hobby funds dwindle and I'm tempted to reach beyond what's earmarked by congressional oversight, I load up one of the porn sites and "take care of myself".

1) Start with a cheap cut of steak, even skirt or flank.
2) Marinate over night in Adolf’s meat marinade (or better yet make your own).
3) Allow steak to reach room temperature before cooking.
4) Grill at a low temperature with indirect heat.
5) Result will be as tender as fillet Mignon and very tasty to boot.

and feel secure at your job, you can borrow up to $50k against the 401k. I was once in a position to see what people that have credit card debt pay in service charges each month. The amount was stunning. When you borrow against your 401k, you pay yourself the principle and interest as you pay off the loan. Use the 401k loan to eliminate your credit card debt. Cut up your credit cards and close your account when you pay off. Get a fixed maximum CC that will allow your to deal with emergencies if you have one, don't even use that card unless you absolutely have to. You can save hundreds per month, depending upon how large your credit card debt is. Use part of the savings for hobbying and save the rest.

I use TER to avoid scams, & under performace.  I'm not into caring notches on my 6 guns (or headboard).   So I will not see "somebody new" just to see somebody new.  I choose ladies who for whatever reason, I feel have the potential to become a Favorite.  I go for the hour times as it is the best bang for the buck for me.
I know what the going rates are for my area.  Rates below this are upsells, lesser offerings, or some such.   Rates much above the average range are for those with more money than me.
This works for me...

What does she look like? lol!

Nevermind. If she was anything like I know you like, she wouldn't be your ex. ;)

But yeah, I've been finding myself having to do some of these things myself, and others. Fucking sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

But the interest was a hell of a lot cheaper than the cards.

As a matter of fact, I paid off a car loan with one of those checks the credit card people send you. It was a lower interest, and I saved more because the title was paid off and I could get liability insurance instead of full coverage.

Just gotta be diligent and look after your finances, not get too comfortable. Which I did lately, and I'm gonna pay for it.

Or, more to the point, certain ladies aren't gonna get paid... :(
