I have an appointment that I was very much looking forward to tomorrow. I felt a little funny last night, but didn't think much of it. I woke up today feverish, with a cough and sore throat. I wrote provider to tell her and threw out, if I feel better tomorrow maybe we can meet, not thinking she'd want to. But she came back with "sure."
Now I don't know if I will feel up to it as I don't feel great. But I imagine i could take some meds and power through, as long as I do t have a fever. But the bigger question is, should I go regardless? It's a doubles situation and I'm only communicating with one. Also, do I owe anything to the people she's going to see later? Does she not believe I am sick? I mean if the session is close to good, they are going to get sick.  
What would you do?

No point in risking getting her, and possibly an unknown number of subsequent clients, sick...I'm sure she would be willing to work with you to reschedule...

Why did you tell her tomorrow, if you didn't know? I had to push a quasi-appointment this week because I caught a cold, and I told her I'd get back in touch when I'm feeling better. That's the way to do it.  

It's not fair to get her sick. Yes it sucks! However,  the domino effect sucks much worse.

Not only do you have to take care of yourself- your well being is very important, you are jeopardizing their line of work. You can get them both sick and it will force them to take off work. Take care of yourself babe. If you are sick, you are sick, tell them the truth. Sh*t happens. Besides, I take everything as a sign. After you're better maybe there is even a better duo for you? ha

... when you woke up feverish etc.  You would have given her at least 24 hours notice, and you would be considering her health and that of the other provider in addition to your own.  Any reasonable provider should accept a cancellation under those circumstances, IMO.

The only thing I have ever caught from a provider was a cold.... and that happens far more often than it should.

you asked if you could still come if you "felt better."  Is this your first time being sick?  Anything with a fever usually gets worse the first 48 hours before you start to get better.  48 hours is putting you into the day of the appointment.  

as a basic courtesy you should always avoid close contact with other people when you aren't feeling well

When you're sick you need to cancel and give her as much notice as possible.   I had an appointment scheduled a week out but about four days before our meeting I've been came down with strep throat.  I still have 3 days for the antibiotics to work through and to clear up but I called her and gave her a heads up.   she was very appreciative and told me to check back with her the day of his see how I felt.  things cleared up and we ended up meeting anyway but she was thankful I thought of her that far ahead.  we can never over communicate or be respectful to one another.

but maybe she's keeping the slot open thinking he might be looking for a reason to back out AND it might be too late to fill the slot, OR ...
she may be thinking SHE can cancel if a better offer/regular cums into the picture.

... given her/them the opportunity to make the decision to cancel the appt. and reschedule at a later date but I would've done it by phone instead. It's hard to imagine that anyone would want to chance getting sick with the possibility of being put out of commission for a week or two.

Last week I texted and setup a date with an escort I would be seeing for the first time today. She seems to be a rising star here in SOFLA. I called and spoke with her for the first time yesterday morning and told her I was sorry but needed to cancel as I had come down with cold and a hacking cough overnight.  
She was greatful that I was concerned about the possibility of getting her sick too. She said she wished more guy would LHK instead of showing up having some stranger hacking on her.

...in fact, I really don't care for her music either. As far as a school of medicine, this cure is an old family recipe. 😎

Cancel ...it's the right thing to do.  It's also flu season and you don't want to infect your provider which could put her out of commission for several weeks if she catches your bug.

and I guarantee you if you were doing it properly you wouldn't be drinking tequila to cure your illnesses, you wouldn't be getting them in the first place.

the bullet and cancel and pay any cancellation fees required if you are not able to re-schedule.  

Providers get all kinds of excuses for cancellations. We are not in a position to question anyone, and it really doesn't matter why - neither party needs to know a "good reason" if one has to cancel. This is all part of the no strings dynamic. However, putting her health in jeopardy is the key here, and I don't think you should see anyone until you are healthy. Providers, usually, don't get "sick leave".

I guess she's a poor imitation of the original, huh? BTW, you are correct, tequila is a great preventive measure. I can't remember the last time I was sick. (not counting my behavioral issues) 😎

I drink three shots of raw organic apple cider vinegar every day. It's really gross! But, I chase it down with some green tea or lemon water. I also rinse frequently with listerine and let it burn until I can't stand it anymore. Sounds crazy but I don't get sick 🤒

Are you sure tequila keeps you from getting sick, OR does it perhaps just wipe out your memory of being sick?

I had times that this happen and we re-schedule the date... I don't want to get sick and I appreciate the fact that they told me and respect me.  
Few times gentleman were sick, we re-scheudule and they were very nice and sent me a little something thru my amazon wish list. (as a small token of appreciation).  

The best way to handle these situations is to get a hold of the provider you are in contact with and let her know your circumstances ASAP and be HONEST. Let HER make the decision. Some won't mind, others will. It's best to keep everyone's health as top priority. Respect is met with respect (generally speaking) and I think giving her (and her partner) that would prevent any drama should a cancellation or reschedule be deemed necessary. Hope that helped!

I have called to cancel due to a cold only to be met with "I never get sick, no problem". Wow. Must be nice. As for me, keep your germy self as far away as possible. As for YOU, you're not going to have a great time if you're not on your game. Take care of yourself and re-book when you know you're ready to RULE.

I definitely would if I felt sick. I set the appointment a week ahead of time as I was traveling in her city. After a few hours in the city my allergies attacked me. I called her then to cancel knowing my pills would take at least 24 hours to kick in. I didn't want to be sneezing with a runny nose. An I knew the pills might mess with junior. She was very understanding an thanked me for giving her 24 hours notice. Didn't get to see her because our schedules couldn't match up.
