Had an appointment set, but got stuck in traffic. I texted that I would be late and she said no problem. As I turn into the strip mall I see LE and all the girls sitting in front of the building while the LE wrote tickets, etc...It has me wondering what happens to the client when a bust goes down? I understand laws are different in different states/countries, but what experiences have you had? Anyone get busted in Utah?

Thank God but
Could be a ticket, Could be a ticket with a court date and I guess if LE
was an ass, they could book you.

Deny, Deny, Deny and book ladies that have current reviews or with a reputable agency IMO.

and if they were only "writing tickets etc" that beats the hell out of being hauled off in a paddy wagon which is the usual result.

Not knowing the facts, so I am guessing, if they weren't hauling the girls off, AND if was an AMP like I am guessing, most likely any customers that were on the premises would have escaped unscathed, because most likely they weren't being arrested for prostitution, but for something minor like no massage license.

I had 1 provider tell me they wanted all her clients & if she gave them up she would go free.  I also, had a client tell me when he was busted they threatened to tell his wife & kids if he did not call all the prostitutes he had seen before to come to the hotel under the impression they were coming for a date, but only to get busted by LE.

I call my lawyer when I feel uncomfortable & it is always best to have a good lawyer in every state you play, or travel too!

I have only been busted once back when I worked for an agency it was no bueno, but in CA the laws a not the same, so the case was dismissed because the officer let me go to far during the bust.  Ever since then, I prefer to screen my own calls.

I'm not sure if this is relevant or not. I have looked up the laws on entrapment in AZ and there is really no such thing. Entrapment in AZ=you convinced me to do something I normally wouldn't do. Think about that. I walk in the room. You say grab my boob. I was planning on doing that. Or on the other side I say grab my cock. You were planning on doing that. no entrapment.

I have no law experience. This is just what I read on the enter webz. But, it actually sounds plausible.

offering a massage without a license is a felony, while soliciation is a misdeameanor.

So, best to use the term "body-rub", lest you be ensnared that way.

but they rarely lead the girls off in cuffs when it's strictly "massage without a license" while they try to make headlines when it's solicitation for prostitution, and of course the catch all "human trafficking" that they like to throw around whether the least bit warranted or not.

... you are laying on a massage table naked and the door busts open unexpectedly and it is LE.  So what?  Yes, this is a massage parlor, yes I was getting a massage.   What crime have I committed?  None, I think.  The women who work there may or may not be in violation of local codes and ordinances or licensing requirements, but that is not your problem.  I think tha is why you saw the girls only sitting on the curb.  Nice tactic to humiliate them like that.

Given a worst-case scenario that LE somehow managed to bust the door in with there not having been enough noise and commotion to stop something that was going on (ie: she has your cock in her mouth wthen the door flies open), fat chance!  Like someone else said DENY, DENY, DENY.  You did NOT offer her money for the act, she simply started giving you head and you went with it 'gee, I guess she thought I'd give her a big tip, Officer.  But really, I don't want to talk to you without a lawyer.  By the way, am I under arrest or am I free to go?'   Expect to be handcuffed, berated, threatened with arrest or that they will call your spouse or boss.   Don't say a word other than to ask for a lawyer and perhaps suggest you are going to ask the lawyer about suing the cop personally and hte department as a whole for defamation, slander...whatever if he chooses to talk to people about things.

Not a lawyer, would love to hear from anyone with more legal knowledge

I have law experience, as a defendant, and as someone who had to bail an idiot out of jail on numerous occasions.  (why I have so many idiot friends, I have no idea)

Here is the reality check... Tell your story to the judge.  The judge won't listen to you or even care what you have to say anyway, so you are wasting your breath by even speaking.  The judge will make faces like he is incredibly bored while you are speaking, then he will say with great sarcasm "are you done???...  guilty!  next case!"

If you really want to win your case, you need to spend money for a great attorney (as most attorneys are morons), the attorney gets to play a different game in court, he is allowed to play the lawyer games of the court, including threatening the prosecutor with a jury trial, where he will introduce case precedent, and he will have expert witnesses.  Then the prosecutor will back off because they don't have time for all this shit.  That is how it really works.

..other truly reliable source?

Without mentioning names (a two-second Google search will reveal the details if you are so inclined), several months ago, a former world-champion tournament poker player decided to answer a BP (!) ad--and not in Vegas or other poker hotspot, but rather in his home town (in the southeast US).  And so he was one of a bunch of "johns" caught up in a local LE sting, where the target was in fact the clients, not the providers.

When I heard about this, my primary reaction was that of stupefaction:  Yes, I understand, he's a household name in poker circles, and may have feared engaging in extra-curricular activities in Vegas (although I still think that he could have managed to keep it lo-pro even given his recognizability in Vegas)--but why eat where you s---?  Especially when you're in a relatively conservative part of the country as he was..and then:  Why in the world did he resort to BP?  He's been around the poker world forever.  He had to have known that there are better sources for information than BP (like this here website, for example).

Takeaway from all this:  TER and well-reviewed indies are the way to go.  If you really want to branch out and try someone new and relatively unestablished, be extremely careful; if anything seems "off" do not go ahead with the meetup in the bar or whatever, or the date itself.

That is the only good reason to talk to the cops. You want to find yourself in a big old legal hole without a latter. Don't deny anything, don't admit anything. STFU,STFU, STFU. You know that Miranda warning where you hear the cop say, "You have the right to remain silent, should you choose to waive that right anything you say can and WILL be used against you in a court of law." They are not lying. By opening your mouth you can only make things worse. Ask any criminal law attorney.

Here is two very useful videos on the subject:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8z7NC5sgik

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08fZQWjDVKE

Now there are a few good thing to say they are:

Identify yourself if asked and only if asked as they can hold you until you do.

If the want to search anything verbally refuse it, twice, even a pat down. DO NOT PHYSICALLY REFUSE IT.

Ask if you are free to go. This establishes the encounter is not voluntary.

State you are choosing to remain silent. Tell them your pleading the 5th.

Ask for your lawyer.

Everything else is trouble. Again STFU. Not opening your mouth is the best thing you can do. You will only make things worse by talking.

Here is a excellent four part video that is explains exactly how to handle a police encounter:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmrbNLt7Om8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKPutNg88bA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REJ2RsLp1Kk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUv3A4hscc0

I have had more than a few friends arrested in this game and the ones the STFU always had better outcomes. I myself had a few none hobby related issues with cops and I beat everything bigger than a traffic ticket. Remember STFU or expect to screw yourself. The fifth amendment is your friend.

By the way, in many states being in a "house of prostitution" is enough to get you solicitation of a prostitute. If your there your likely going to be busted. That is the truth of it.

I am not a lawyer. I am just posting this as I know of too many good people in this hobby that mishandled a police encounter and things didn't go well for them

I think that is why it spooked me so bad. This place has two ladies, one of which is a LMT. The other her apprentice in training. Both are well reviewed on TER. I had been there multiple times before. Now I don't know if I should avoid the place or not. I've seen new reviews from hobbyists and the ladies are still putting ads on bp.
