....i'm sorta frugal by nature (most of the time) and live within or under my means as much as possible. I'm always saving/putting aside. November and this current month have been pretty kick-ass actually. Not everyone's wallets dry up this time of year.

I think the guys know I bring the heat and they want to warm on up in the cold winter days? Usually in winter I am busy busy! Summer is generally slower with kids out of school and gents having to better account for their time as well as family vacations and that jazz.
Oh and Christmas time is ALWAYS wonderful, seems many gentlemen know what to gift them selves with for the holiday... Their favorite provider....
No worries though most of us do have a safety net to help us out if things get a little slow for our liking. That is also what a CC is for if we should need it.
FYI though, Dec has been amazing! The best guys and the best extended dates ever. It has been amazingly fun as well as pretty lucrative.
Personally, I'm having one of the most profitable weeks I've ever had and preparing to go to Mumbai for the rest of the winter. Made enough to buy presents, get myself a new pair of designer shoes, pad my savings account, and live LARGE in Mumbai until April when I come back to tour the US again!
I am happy to not need to see a single client in India over the winter, because the local market there is unfamiliar to me and seemingly not the safest to navigate. However I will be happy if a gentleman or two from the US happens to hit me up while he is in Mumbai or somewhere else in India. I opened a bank account in India and I wouldn't mind having some winter savings to stuff into it.
My biggest concern about the winter is not finances but the cold weather. I'm really not into it. I'm so excited to spend three months in India away from it...
But, I can't deny the important lesson in this thread. Ladies, stay in shape and take care of your regulars. You don't want to get desperate and stuck seeing a cheap dipshit with a chip on his shoulder about providers.
Things must be particularly bad for you since you can't come back for so long.
When things are bad for me, I shave. Makes me feel better.

Shaving makes you feel better? That's usually something I only hear women say! Well to each their own. Personally I love the smell of my own pheromones and taking a deep whiff of my hairy armpits tends to make me feel naturally high on life. When I'm feeling down, as we all do sometimes, I love to go spend time in the woods, with trees and plants and animals. Time with the SUN always really rejuvenates me. I'm a Leo as my astrological sun sign and I really am a creature who loves the sun. Hence wintertime is always a bit sad for me as a season because it's very cold and there's so little sun around!
The fact that you would assume a three month vacation to a city as fabulous as Mumbai is some type of involuntary escapism from a dry spell of business makes me feel like you're just trolling. Or your reading comprehension is terrible. I literally just posted that I made enough money this week alone to not have to work for three months! I'm sorry if your work life isn't as flexible or you don't know how to take extended vacations after reaching your financial goals. I'm so excited to spend time in sunny Mumbai, eat nothing but amazing vegetarian food for three months, see the Taj Mahal, attend LGBT pride in Mumbai at what will be a historical moment in the country's history, visit the beaches of Goa for the first time, and spend more time with my extended family.
A lot of my clients and prospective clients are disappointed that I'm going. I hate to break it to you, but the type of men who pay $1000 and up for a session do not run out of money or cease to get laid just because it's the winter. Only the guys looking for bargains. Those of us who charge more have no problem filling our schedules year-round. In fact, the high rollers often come out to play in December & January because of work bonuses and less heavy workloads at the office. It's mugh easier for them to get away for 6hr, overnight, and multi-day sessions during the summer & winter months. But I just can't handle the cold so I am definitely running away from that!!
Most folks get bonuses in late December of early January - thats the time to splurge a bit not cut back

Keep them coming back and learn how to enjoy them fully - first and foremost, making sure they are a good match before meeting. You can't force something that just isn't going to happen. But you an take a cracked double door and spread it wide open!
That or just provide Jack Daniels and Mexican Coca-Cola. Usually if you serve good drinks they come back. LOL

Typically, this time of year is the best for me. I'm not sure how you came up with the idea that "johns tightens up like a frightened turtle for the next few months"... but in 13 years of providing that simply hasn't been my experience.
In my experience the slowest is usually Feb/March just before tax time when everyone is worried about how much they might owe, or are waiting for refunds.
Then again, I'm sure it depends on local, client base, and other variables.
