Has anyone received such a threat before?
Did the provider carry out with her plans?
How did you handle the situation if she did or didn't?

If she is willing to go to jail for blackmail and ruin her life as well, then nothing you can do but I suspect she doesn't want to go to jail.

If you gave her the 'goods' on you there's noone to blame but yourself. Don't bitch here. And I'm a tad confused. If its the gal you gave the 2 review to, after looking at all her other grades yours sticks out. No other ones less than 8. Do guys inflate? Sure. But a 2? Really?

The threat is in response to a recent review.

Easy to say when it's not your ass on the line.  And we have no idea what she actually knows about him (and DON"T tell us!). Get some serious legal advice.  You will not find that here.  Only gratuitous opinions.

Here's the problem: if you ask TER to take the review down, they may refuse because it's now their property.  If she's smart she'll just tell them the session never happened and the review is bogus.  Then they may take it down if they believe her.  You have no control over that.  If you report her to TER they may ban her if they believe you, which will piss her off more.

I read it. Twice. You missed my point. I'm not saying it was a bad session. But a 2? That's for like chicks who have dicks, steal from you etc. All the other reviews look great or solid. And its not like she's just got a few. She's got 50 or so of them. Yours sticks out. Big time. You never answered my question in the subject line above.

Now THAT's a review!  On the one hand, assuming it's a fair and accurate representation of what happened (and I have no reason to believe it's not), good for you for warning the rest of us.  On the other hand, I can see why she's pissed.  Too bad, though, because if it's accurate you probably graded her too high!  Why in the world did you give her enough info to hurt you?  If you're doing that with all the girls and this is the first time it's bitten you, you've been playing with fire and it finally burned you.  Best of luck.  Lesson learned and I hope to doesn't cost you more angst.

After the review was posted, two other hobbyists PM'd me saying that they had a similar experience with her.  
One person's experience was worse.
I'm sure there are plenty more disappointed clients out there who are afraid to write an honest review in fear of retaliation.

Why would I tell anything to an escort?

Bottom line is you never tell a gal ANYTHING like that much less before the first date. I have lady I've seen dozens of times and she don't know anything more than my first name and maybe a tag number which is registerd to a business and a cell number which is the same. I trust her a bunch. Really do. But would NEVER tell her shit she could use against me. Again I'm sure it was a bad date. But I'd have never written the review knowing she knew what she knew. I'd of just walked away. Lesson learned.

It seems all too coincidental to me. You might be able to get her banned if you can forward the text she sent you to TER. I've been threatened once by a provider for writing unflattering details about her in my review. She also tried to get the review pulled without success. Since she didn't have my personal info, they were simply empty threats. I told her I would send all her pm's to TER if she didn't stop and that managed to get her to stop. Maybe you can do the same to see if she would stop.

Never record someone without their permission. In most states that in itself will cause you a heap of trouble. Voicemail or text is fine, because the sender consents to it. But don't ever secretly record someone.

When it comes right down to it you are the customer. I think I would have bailed beforehand though.  I gotta say it seems a bit out of the ordinary with such an experienced provider.  I have to say though I had a semi-bad experience with a highly rated and experienced provider and I know I was very nice to her. She pretty much threatened me to give her 10's or expose me. Not personable, stuck-up, non-GFE. I didn't reveal an info though. I didn't want to take a chance that she would so I just didn't review her. Good Luck.

Sure. No the provider 's people called once ( cell ) and text threats continued for a couple weeks. Best is to ignore. Extortion & blackmail are federal offenses as are the threats. Don't block the calls. Just change your answering machine to default without your voice. Then they or she don't know if your number is active. Also place a security lock on your cell so that data remains safe. If anyone came knocking upon your door they would lose the chance to extort money.

I can't believe you posted this w/out an alias, now everyone can see who the provider is. Think about what can happen now as a result.  You've essentially made a bad situation worse by airing it out here.

If she has only threatened to out him them I'm not so sure that is legally blackmail (not a lawyer).

I recently tried to arrange a date with a touring lady who has nearly all 10/10 reviews. I contacted her through P411 where I have 4 provider okays. She says yeah she would love to see me but sends me a form to fill out asking for my real name, place of business, and business web site.

I can. 4 ok's? Big shit. I have 40+ and still get screened. Doesn't mean I fill out any forms but the smart ladies still call references. 4 ok's is nothing.  

I know of a girl in LA who has pulled this on 2 clients that have reviewed me. Guys I've known for years.  
The girl I'm speaking of was finally banned from P411 but I believe she's still on TER.  

Somewhat of a familiar experience in New York.  
Saw a well reviewed girl with average score of 8 + and in NYC top 100. Very bad session, rushed, up selling ( must say rare in my experience with ter girls). I made the mistake of telling her that I was very disappointed before I left but I didn't review her.  
As luck would have it, someone else saw her a few months later, put a low score on ter under an alias. The girl went completely ballistic on me, email/ text with threats to take the review down. Tried explaining to her that it wasn't me, but coudnt convince her. She tried challenging the review to ter, but she coudnt get it pulled. Interestingly she also got three 10/10 reviews after that bad score.  
So she went and outed all my info on the national blacklist and gave me a bad approval on date check. Luckily for me, I have a hobby name, phone and email address. The date check also didn't affect me as I had previous 30+ recommendations.  

Recording a conversation with out all parties knowing in advance is illegal.

She can call all the references she wants. I'm just saying she ain't getting my real name and place of business for the reason stated.

If we do not right truthful reviews (as we see them), then this site is worthless.  I have had providers say that they don't want me to review unless it is all 10's.  If it wasn't a 10, why would I lie?

That depends on the state. Most states only require one person in the conversation to consent - as in, you can record any call without notification if you're involved in it.

You are saying we shouldn't give a top provider a bad review even if it is true because she has pages of great reviews, and hobbyists will simply ignore the bad reviews. That's total BS. Every time I see a provider with all 10/10 reviews, it raises a red flag. I actually trust the reviews more if there are a few not-so-good ones. A provider can't possibly please everyone and have them all give you 10/10's, no matter how beautiful she is and how good she is in the sack. Granted, he probably shouldn't have given her only a 2 based on the details (nice BBBJ and FS), but he's certainly entitled to write his review.

Isn't that the whole point of using P411?  To NOT have to give out personal information to every provider.

You simply change some of the facts (like what she wore, by picking something from her gallery she didn't wear that day) and also wait for several weeks.  Then she can't be sure which of the guys she's seen has posted it.  A more obvious way to be safe is to not give any provider your board handle.

had a great experience each time ,1st time was several yrs ago on NYE at 1:am outcall ay my hotel she showed up on time ready to rock ,i just checked & realized i didn't right a review .Obviously something was off that day

if something was off, she should have canceled and not taken his money just to be a total bitch! Just because you and several others had a great time, does not dismiss the crappy time he had. just like clients can turn bad on a given day, so can providers. she took the money, and did not deliver. while i think 1s, 2s, and 3s should be reserved for utter bait and switch, rip offs, and drug addicts, I do think he deserves to tell his side of the story. who knows what really happened here?

Beat me to it- never ever think your secret recording will do anything but get you in big trouble.  Few states allow it, unless you've got a restraining order against them and given permission to record.

   I believe you are exactly correct. My reviews are done under my alias and I would not consult with a provider regarding what I might put into a review. In fact, I have only been asked about reviews a hand full of times and am almost always non-committal about it. I was recently in a "I'm not writing reviews" stage when I was asked by a lady I know well to post one. She applied gentle pressure and wanted it done because she had recently gotten one with pretty low scores and felt an "honest" one would be to her benefit. I didn't ask but she gave me a story about why she had received the poor one. It was believable to me and that, coupled with the fact that I've seen her several times and always had a great time convinced me to write a review. I didn't discuss the particulars with her beforehand of what I'd write. But she knew I enjoyed out times together so I guess felt secure in asking me for the review.
    Again, you are correct in not discussing scores with a provider before writing a review.
