want to look at little java script windows that we need to scroll back and forth, up and down, just to read a little about the woman we are trying to find out about.

A gallery that is placed into a tiny java window so we have to scroll???????

I contacted one webdesigner that said I sell it like that because it's cool.

Well IMO it SUCKS!!!!

Oh, I could always set me screen resolution so it fits on the screen and break out the magnifying glass so I can read it, or see the entire image without scrolling.

Come on now just because your web dude or dudette tells you it's cool, take a look at it yourself. Ask yourself if it is something that is easy to navigate, see, read, minimal scrolling, does it work with all browsers?

I'm seeing more and more of this phenomona, put a 3x4 window in the middle of the browser window, and cram everything we possibly can into it. STUPID!!!

Just venting. Never mind.

try to think about what it was like a few short years ago when you had to find a provider from the newspaper and there was a 50% chance you'd get ripped off!

TER rocks.  Provider websites rock, even with their little java script windows.

Life is good.

Go get laid - you'll feel much better, and this won't matter.

Get some perspective!

Just venting.  Never mind.

For those that don't have HSA (which I do via TW) the load time can be forever. I give a site 15 sec. to load if not I deep six it.  The secret here for providers is the old KISS theory.  Keep It Simple Stupid

It's another one that doesn't utilize enough screen space. I wouldn't say it is the worst site I've ever seen, far from it.

I like the idea that you give users the choice to view flash or html.

Right now I'm using a 17" screen and your info is appearing in a window that is approx. 1/10 the size of the screen with the browser at full screen. I have to squint to read it. And I have to scroll.

The design scheme (read organization) is very nice.  Easy to navigate.  I particularly like the uncluttered look and black background.  I agree that more screen space should be used. It's a little hard to read the rates text on a 17" screen at 1280 x 1024. I guess the flip-side problem with large, hi-res photos is the download time and server bandwidth requirements.

There is no single formula for the "right" site.  The person who sent you the "worst" message must have been a nun, or the wife of a hobbyist....

Just a comment about the nude shots - you certainly don't need them, but perhaps if you thought of them as a way to convey your personality/senuality and artistry, you may view them in a different light.  Nude photos don't need to show the "taboo" body parts ....

At 1024x768, 19" monitor (yes, my eyes aren't great - it happens with 20+ years of staring at a monitor for 16 hours a day) and IE6 window maximized, with large buttons bar and address bar only: too much scrolling, too many graphics, and too much Flash.

Flash is one of the banes of the web user's existance, especially for those with 56K dialup access (i.e. the majority of web users.)  Animated GIFs are better, but just barely.  What any site that opens with a Flash screen tells me is that the provider is more interested in glitz than substance - which means that her sessions may (not necessarily, but may) be the same way... or else she fell for a sales job by the site designer, who wanted to use Flash to jack up the price.

At 1024x786, I should NEVER have to scroll to get to all the important info on a page.  Especially you should not take up fully a quarter of the visible page with a logo graphic that doesn't allow text on top of it.  And body text should *never* be in a graphic - it should be live text.

There are other issues, but these are the biggies I see at a quick perusal of the first 3 sites you list.

Thanks for your input hun. I have always wondered what the average gent thought about the ladies sites and how well they faired in just esthetic value.

I will clear up one point though. I am not  professional web designer. I do sites for ladies at a greatly reduced price and get them on the net and allow them to build up a rep and business. This way if they so choose they can take their sites to a more professional designer later down the line.

The small flash associated with the first 3 sites was my idea, not that of the ladies. In fact they all asked me to find something that fit their particualr personalities. It cost them no more than the other sites and they didn't ask for it specifically. The templates I used were clean and easy to navigate, and most importantly, the ladies liked them, and it is those ladies the site represents.

I do not honestly think glitz on a site has any bearing on the ladies abiity to provide a good service. I do however think the brighter and more eye catching the site, the more exposure you will get. But thats JMHO.

But thank you again for your critique. I will think about these particular issues in the future when building my other sites. As I have said, I am not a professional designer, just trying to help out and have fun learning at the same time.

Regards,
Wyked Ways

I like your web site for a number of reasons.  First, the choice between flash and html because sometimes I only have access to dial-up service.  Second, because it is tastefully and artistically done (nudity is not mandatory .... and you have enough variety - from dress up to casual to swimsuit - that only a total moron could not get an idea of what the natural package is).  Third, the information is straightforward and easy to comprehend .... no calculators needed.  If I have any critique, it's the one that I would have for 95% of the people out there and that is the need to change and add photos on a regular basis .... that's what keeps me coming back .... on the other hand, I know that can be an expensive proposition if you want quality images.

I certainly didn't mean to offend you, hon!  If you don't charge the girls for that, wonderful!  I still don't like anything that slows down my getting to the important info, but I do appreciate your efforts.

I have, however, seen quite a few girls (and heard of many more) that fell for that "I can do this magical opening page in Flash that will really drag in the visitors to your site!" line from the web site designer, only to find that it costs 3 or 4 times as much to develop and maintain the site.

I can't speak for others, but I can say that I get my best information verbally, which includes the written word, rather than visually from graphics.  I want to see what the lady says about herself in her self-description/bio/etc., rather than guessing at her personality from what backgrounder graphics she uses.  Mixing that written info with her pictures, and most ecpecially our exchanges of email and/or phone conversations, I can figure out whether we're likely to hit it off.

All that said, it is after all the lady's site, and she should put her stamp on it.  All I ask is that web designers keep in mind some cardinal rules:

1) What would Joe Dialup do?  That stuff that looks great running instantaniously on the machine you're using for development can really suck on an old 486 laptop with insufficient memory and a 56K modem connection.

2) Follow the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid!)

3) Never use graphics where text would do.  Fancy fonts are nice, but not where it requires most or all text on a page to be embedded in graphics just to use the font.

4) Remember the purpose of the site.  Most provider sites are not the kind that people stumble on - they're looked up in search engines and sites like this board.  So the site doesn't need a front page that drags in people that stumble on it, it needs a front page that identifies the type of site (to let the cyber-nanny stuff do its job) and can be quickly be perused and passed to get to the meat of the site.

Nicole ;)

I would tell you just a couple of things. First of all I think you've captured the tone of what you're trying to convey very well. Your site, much like like you yourself, oozes class. The look in your eyes in the opening shot, walking down the driveway, is just priceless. I also like your choice of locations and the variety of your wardrobe. I would have to say that maybe a little more nude material would be very enticing. Tastefully done of course. Nothing would have to be revealed. Seeing you clothed in nothing but a sash or a carefully placed hand would/is drive me bananas. Toy with the gentle art of suggestion. It drives us wild.

You've really offended anyone... and honestly, what I'm hearing you say I've heard a thousand times from other gents. You guys seem unanimous in what you want from a site. A basic aesthetic sense, but more importantly ease of navigation, the info you want, and the pics, and the email, FAST! That's what I try to do with my sites, but you never can tell... :) I think we all thank you for your feedback!

Hugs*

Actually Nicole.  I think that the layout and user interaction of your site is one of the better ones.  It doesn't force you through an initial flash page, which is HIGHLY annoying, has no music, causes unexpected scrambling for the MUTE or volume controls, loads quickly and has the information I want to see within a click or two.

For those of you who have flash intros, do your audience a favor and make sure the "Skip Intro" button is large and immediately available.  Although a flash presentation may be interesting or fun initially, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... who cares?

Also, have whoever put your site together gather statistics about what pages are hit and what things the users skip viewing. You would probably find it highly interesting to see how often the viewers skip things you may see as important.  I know that the "Skip Flash Into" button would be the most often used element on your page.  I'll leave the conclusion to the pages owner about that one.

Not everyone has high bandwidth network connections.  Some of us browse information while traveling with PDA's.  Unforutnately for us TER is not PDA friendly at all, and most of the web sites aren't even worth trying to get to with that form of a device, but they SHOULD be.

The look and feel of the site is excellent. Your content and the presentation is equally so. From my perspective I would consider a heavier font. The text seems to be overpowered by the dark background in some cases.

I think it is a wonderful site.

Wow Ahvani,

Your website looks fabulous!!! I love the list you have of reasons why you don't get back in touch with people.  THAT IS SO TRUE. I should do something similar on my site. Usually I just delete irritating messages, however I like your idea of going one step further and telling them why...Good thinking girl. Wonderful site.

Nicole,

You are a beautiful girl but yeah, there is a lot going on (bars and stuff) on your site. It's hard to maneuver and takes a bit more time than most people have.  Keep in  mind I was using high-speed internet access and it still took a while. Also, the lettering is too small. Hope this helped. (please don't take it the wrong way sweetie...sorry)

Sincerely,
Laura

She charges WAAAY too much then rips girls off with outrageous bandwidth charges AND she owns the copyright which is BS!  The provider should own the copyright!

Buyer Beware!
