Honestly, this is exactly why I try to include recent selfies mixed in with my professional photos. I think a little realism and variety goes a long way.
I naturally have very curly hair, though I wear it straight often, and yes- sometimes I wear extensions. But a big part of that is intentional because I genuinely enjoy adapting my look to fit the energy and fantasy someone is drawn to. Everyone is attracted to something different. I personally love being as high femme as I can...but also get requests for no makeup and an shorts bra... Some people love the casual yoga-pants, minimal makeup, girl-next-door vibe. Others want full glam with dramatic hair, leather, latex, thigh-highs, and the whole fantasy experience. I actually love accommodating those different aesthetics by request because transformation and presentation are something I truly enjoy. As a hairstylist and makeup artist for almost 18 years, trust me… I can absolutely create whatever mood is being called for 😉 Every bit of hair and makeup in my professional photos was done by me.Oh, and if you haven't seen my instagram @buildabimbo
I have been thinking about the differences in appearance from Tryst profile pics, to the appearance in person. Here’s what I noticed/
1. The hair is almost always different, remarkably so! So many models do a shoulder length, straight blonde in photos. I have seen blondes go to brunette, long and straight to short and curly; and short and colored blonde, straight to dirty blonde, super long and wavy. The hair always changes!
2. Makeup is usually different. I think they go through a lot of time to do perfect makeup for the photoshoots; not necessarily in person. Usually the makeup is “pretty good” but not glamour shot status.
3. Weight changes. This seems common, but also a turnoff…. Again it seems the ladies get into perfect shape for photos (or photoshop); but the day in and day out is harder to maintain… also I am well aware that weight / water retention / bloating can fluctuate; it’s a natural thing.
4. Aging. Can only say 1 person tha had aged significantly since the photo shoot. I’m surprised this isn’t more common, to keep circulating photos from a much younger time.
I don’t get super hung up on these; though it is really helpful to hear about the photo differences in reviews. It goes back to the fantasy / reality experience. I guess I like both …
Just thought I would open a conversation. Discuss?
I prefer little to no make up, but I do my paint my face and do my hair for dates. I also post all kinds of recent pictures and videos if you subscribe. My last professional photo shoot cost $5k and I think 🤔 I paid $200 for hair and another $200 for make up it was interesting to see photographers who make thousands. I don't think I misrepresent anything. I don't disappoint. It takes effort to prepare for any date. The funny part is it takes over an hour to do my hair and make up & it's all going to get sweated out, plus your makeup will come off when entertaining, like a pro. If you're doing it right your mascara will be running down your cheeks.
When I did not care my score reflects my effort getting pretty. I'm a hard 8 with no makeup. When I take the time my score gets greater. I prefer to get a better grade. A+
You're an easy 8.
Hair has rarely been different in my experience. It's happened. But it's more the exception than remotely close to the norm. I have seen some who actually took the time to provide updated photos when their hair style or color changes.
Makeup is to be expected. I assume when seeing photo shoot photos that they spent more time doing their makeup then they will prior to seeing me. I don't really mind unless it drastically changes their attractiveness. It hasn't been an issue for me though. I do tend to put more weight on providers who include casual pictures that are not professionally done, which helps with expectations.
Weight is another one that happens, but isn't common for me. There have been a couple of occasions where the provider put on a considerable amount of weight. I was annoyed that they didn't use updated pictures. Small amounts don't bother me as weight can shift slightly up or down.
I have found younger providers are more likely to update their pictures more often. I have seen older providers who have pictures that are 10-20 years or more older. Reviews are key in figuring this out, but it can be frustrating that so many reviews glaze over this detail and say nothing about it. When you are looking for a young lady, it's pretty deflating walking through the door expecting a 30 something year old and seeing a lady that is in her 50s or even 60s. There is still a market for providers in their 50s and 60s. Just be honest about it. Misleading is not cool.
In my experience, maybe 10% of the time did the pro-photos come very close, and only 5% of the time did I get a near 100% match. Although lacking in professional quality, real selfies are usually pretty accurate.
Bad move. Any girl knows how to pose in a selfie to "hit her best angles". For me, it's above my head on the right. I'm procrastinating so pic coming to photo board now.... No make up. Hair wrapped. I'm in a sports bra. NO FILTER! But minimal tummy and all my other flaws... Cost $0.00. But it would have cost the same with a free phone filter on... So nah, not even selfies are "safe". Gotta stick with reviews!
Professionals take professional shots. When I worked with an agency, they would set us all up for professional photo shoots. We would switch outfits between shots, and sometimes the same outfit would go from one girl to the next. Afterward, they would decide which photos would be used.
I was always told that professionals invest in professional photos. With AI these days, I understand why people question everything, but reviews are different. Reviews will tell you whether someone looked like their photos or not.
I have hundreds of photos that some people assume are AI, but they are actually agency photos from real shoots. As far as pricing goes, QB’s estimate of around $5,000 is probably closer to the higher end. In North Carolina, I would estimate around $2,500 total for a good professional photo shoot session.
One thing people should also consider is that photo shoots and sessions are two different things. For photos, yes, I may have a full face of foundation, red lipstick, styled hair, and the whole polished look. But for sessions, there is no makeup, no glitter, and my hair is tied back because I do not want to leave any evidence behind. So even if I look fully done up in my photos, nobody is going home with foundation, red lipstick, or glitter on them -- unless of course they've asked to.
I learned that from my stripper days, and that is a real point of view people should consider too. Professional photos are for presentation, but professionalism during a session also means being mindful, discreet, and clean.
I am actually looking at booking a new shoot now, love. Anybody want to finance it? 🤣
In my early days, I'd meet photographers and exchange sessions for photos. I still have those photos too. Sigh. The good old days and RISD!

Trusting selfies is only a bad move if you blindly do it. All those clever moves that fool some don’t fool all. Angles are the biggest giveaway. You might fool a rookie. But a seasoned hobbyist has seen so many of these it’s simply not working.
Bingo. I’m by no means into social media but I do look at provider’s social media selfies to compare/contrast to their ads and P411 photos. It’s just one more arrow in the quiver when doing a little research before making an appointment. I’ve always preferred the GND look, as opposed to the glam look, so selfies have always been right in my wheelhouse. They usually show what a gal looks like on a day to day basis and are almost always more recent than their ads.
That way you know how recent they are and how likely it is that she still looks like that.
I'll probably catch some flak for this, but how do you feel when a picture of what's on the can of food or a frozen dinner doesn't match up with its actual contents? Photographers use all kinds of techniques [including photoshop and AI] to make things look better than they are in real life.

P.S. I find it helpful if the model also includes a short selfie video.
An exaggerated, deliberate lie to make the product seem more desirable than it actually is?
It's a disgusting tactic, and like I always say - if you can't make money without relying on lies, why should your business even exist?
"bu bu everyone's doing it! It's marketing! If I don't do it I will lose to competition this is not lying"
Yes it is. It's just the seller decided to use excuses of everyone is doing to justify lying.
All these tricks that take good angles, not show body parts that may have extra weight, airbrush (pre-modern Ai), Ai, etc etc.
What are they designed to do but extract more money via a lie?
So yes anyone choosing to do so is engaging in a lie that they sell to their customers to make extra money.
When you know the pictures are false and what to expect, are you still bothered by it?
When I see an ad for a McDonald's burger and it looks all shinny and perfect, I don't really care. I know what they look like and taste like, and the ad no longer is meaningful to me. Of course, this is because I already experienced the real thing, so not exactly the same as an ad for something I have not seen and tried.
As someone who sees k-girls regularly, I assume you have decided to come to terms with the fact they rarely use real pictures. Not suggesting it makes the lies better. But at some point, you decided the pros outweigh this con and navigate using the tools you have.
That's like asking if I'm bothered by lobbying being a legal bribe or politicians lying.. Hell yeah I fucking am. even though we all know that politicians lie and that lobbying is defacto a quid pro quo bribe. If you ask me, if any poiitician lies to their constituents they should be strung up on cypress trees. Bet that will make lying halt suddenly.
So what exactly is your point? I don't subscribe to the notion that something is ethically ok simply because it's common or that everyone else is doing it. Thats just an excuse to do something unethical.
So yes, exaggerating pros and hiding cons as well as lying about appearance, to make money, bothers me. Any seller any gender any business. Once again, if you can't sell product or service without lying why should your biz exist?
And if you (not you in particular) put money and own profit above honesty and integrity and obligation before your own customers, what does it say about you?
I post everyday pictures and prefer my professional pics to not be overly photoshopped!!
Here is my most recent photo professional shot with out a filter straight out of the lenses!
I do professional make up on shoots
Though I prefer my natural look but still well groomed fron head to toe!
No surprises when we meet!
Thanks for letting me share
Lovely lorena
Wow ! Lorena
That's Very Hot. I think I told you I am in Wisconsin for the next two months but we need to stop talking
and start meeting ! Lol.....
Im waiting for you! Hot and readu!
It’s funny, I’ve worn my make up glamour level to have someone complain about it. Complained about wearing heels, complained about being too dressed up..You never can win!! Except I’ve never had complaints about dressing down..I usually get more compliments..it’s all preference …which is why communication is so important!
Simply asking, hey which photo represents your current hair? Or I really loved the look in this photo, id love for you to look just like that. Some may accommodate…I know I would!
As far as age, some is laziness with changing your ad..some is people think they don’t look their age..some is marketing trickery..some is just discretion..who knows.
I’m honest about my age RANGE…I like to be discreet I don’t want clues of who RW me is…not trying to appear older or younger by any means. I blur tattoos or alter them…but make sure my ad states I’m tattooed for those that don’t like them.
My hair changes often, I am a hair stylist and used to wear wigs a lot…goes with the pin-up vibe. I’m leaning into more natural “lived in” look though these days. Platinum blond is too much upkeep! I like the fantasy..and happy to dress exactly like my photos if asked. Ive had clients request an outfit and hair style. 🫶🏼 heck I’d even be my evil brunette twin one day 🤭
Asking questions is so easy, I wish people would read ads more and just ask whatever else they want to know…aside from the few questions that should be directed here via reviews of course.
Weight changes is human. But 20lbs difference in the photos is deceiving for sure. Some of it is lack of self awareness…insecurity. But really should be embraced…there are clients for all body types. I’ve lost a lot of weight and had abdominal surgery since I started a year or so ago. Yet my profile still states “a few extra pounds” 🤷♀️
...so far.
Every provider I've seen resembles their picture body-wise....as you mentioned, the face may usually differs because it looks older than the age advertised on the profile...I say that because all of the providers I've seen blur their face.
Honestly, this is exactly why I try to include recent selfies mixed in with my professional photos. I think a little realism and variety goes a long way.
