Fuck moderation. If I were GaG, I'd be fucking 3-4 times a day with different women . . . I know what my vice is, and I know if I didn't have a life structured to prevent hobbying that I would probably be in a bed in the Philippines right now with 3 naked ladies, or in an FKK club in Frankfurt wasting my days away. As it stands, I approach the hobby in a very methodical manner designed for low volume.
Decide what you're after and how you can get it. If you are alone, and have the means, and have the job security . . . then you're fucked, you'll drop lots of money on this hobby, might as well get the most out of it. If you need moderation, make up reasons. Like in the beginning, you're figuring things out, and it's all new, so every experience is fresh and exciting, you'll have way more appointments and burn more cash, but eventually you'll level out. Once you've leveled out, you will skip over women that you would have called before . . . raise your standards and define what would make a good date, and then spend time searching . . . the hunt can be as much fun as the date. Once you're past the initial rush, the easiest way to slow down is high standards and rare traits (for example, find an East Indian with looks above an 8 that does greek and BBBJCIM . . . been a decade, and I've come close, but still haven't found one OR make a bucket list and work on it diligently - Maybe arrange mile high sex, or screw a Brit in the UK, or a porn star), once you realize that effort and imagination are your limits in this hobby (and of course money) it should slow you down.
I would suggest that you not use the hobby as a surrogate for a real life. Their time is money, and talk ain't cheap. If you need a friend, go civvie. I have a wife and kids, and a career and bills, and kids' social schedule to maintain . . . you can't buy that; and if you could, it would be a cheap imitation. You can buy sex though, and you can buy better sex than you can probably get at home . . . so, totally worth it and not that expensive. Keeping the hobby about sex and just sex, will slow your burn rate.
