I've not been to access Cityvibe or TER links to it for the last 4 weekends. No problems during weekdays, and I have no work IT.

Hey here is just a bit of "geek" info for ya..

I WAS having issues with several sites.. Most of them were related to "adult" venue sites only..

Now I would not advocate that anybodies ISP would 'filter' or 'interfere' with your surf habits..

But lets just say that certain sites may be slow to load.. DNS issues..

Well. You may want to look at OpenDNS and see if that will help you out.. It's free and all you have to so is out their DNS server IPs as your DNS servers.. They give instructions how.. AS will I if you have problems..

It resolved my issues here at TER and CityVibe which before made them so SSLLOOWW that it would time out.. Which is most likely what is happening to you..  

Most ISPs rely on one primary and one backup DNS server only and no bastion host servers.. OpenDNS runs a DNS server 'farm' around the globe..

Yes, I am a geekette and proud of it..

changed the way their website structure is laid out and that has changed the links.

They have changed Link 1 to Link 2.  No DNS help will fix that.

That has happened to me on TER alot, where the server will time out or it will be so slow that it takes me 10 minutes to respond to a simple post. I needed this info, thanks Nichole.
