This whole "I'm a guy who gets tested once a month, or once every three months" is in my overall opinion a BS statement.  

If the actual hobbyist visits to the testing clinics were somehow verified and logged I would guess that the percentage score of actual clinical visits to be extremely low.

Simply showing up for your yearly physical will NOT tell you everything you want to know about your overall health.

Some std screenings require specialized tests that actually look for their presence in order to find the infection. Herpes is one of them.

To some providers, there is no other means to making this kind of money and there is NO intention to stop whether infected or not.

It has been said before and will be repeated again, Prescription medications and condoms do not protect you against contracting this disease.

I am clean and healthy and disease free for the sake of those wondering. I visit a free, local, anonymous clinic in my area that does a comprehensive testing for a donation of your choice. It is easy.

I do however know others in this lifestyle, both male and female who are not so lucky.

For any of us it could be just a matter of time.

First thing, I want to praise her for letting you know that she had herpes. I had a similar experience. I had seen an ATF for a while, then one day, I saw her, and she had herpes on her lip. I ask her, and she said it was a cold sore. I am no fool and study this in college. Anyways, I use to DATY, let her BBBJ me, and DFK. When I saw her at the current session, I said, eee, didn't know what to do. Didn't want to leave abruptly, and told her, lets to cover up for everything. She knew my intentions, and I just hit that quickly as possible, skip the BJ, and got the hell out.

Anyways, I waited for about two weeks thinking, WTH. Why didn't she tell me, but I could understand her condition. But at least inform so we can practice it safer. Anyways, it was time for my appointment with my doctor. I had explained to him about my hobby, and he informed me to leave her alone. He showed me pictures and everything of Herpes, and she had something similar on her lip. I got tested as usually, went back about two weeks later for the results. And somehow I was negative for all STD/HIV. Didn't know what to think, I would assume that she had just picked it up recently. She would occasionally call me to visit her, but I skipped on her.

Dude, I don't care how good she was, emotionally or physically. Its time to move on. Its like playing Russian roulette. You want to put yourself into that position? Anyways, I praise her for letting you know, but my advice, move the hell on and be careful about the hobby.

She is very likely not the only one you have fucked who had it.  And these other guys have fucked girls with it as well, even if they don't know it.  Lots and lots of people are carriers and don't even know they have it.

Everyone in this hobby should be well aware of the risks of contracting a STD. Condoms are not 100% preventative.
Condoms will prevent the more serious of STD's if used properly.
In my opinion (and I hate to state this) is that DATY is risky only because the mouth is susceptible to abrasions, open sores etc. How many of you brush the teeth vigorously, use floss or even just bite the inside of the lip or cheeks. This would open up a portal of delivery for most virus. There is a school of thought that the enzymes in saliva de-activate many viruses, but I am not 100% convinced of that theory.
I "rarely" DATY with providers, and when I do, I try to use a method that will decrease the amount of her fluids that enter my oral cavity.
I just assume that all providers and civies for that matter have something I don't want to catch.

Oh, and if you get tested on the regular, and request to be tested for EVERYTHING(as they should ask you what you want to be tested for specifically), you will also get tested for herpes. Even if you've never shown or had a symptom in your life, and your just a carrier, it will still appear in your test results.. as will HPV, even if showing no symptoms.

Is she still providing?? That's the scarier question here.
