TER General Board

There is no proprietary interest . . . .

When you share something on a general discussion board, the aim is to spark conversation, whether it’s positive or negative. Recently, a provider made a post, and I replied to it. However, she then sent me a message attacking me for my response and made some unkind remarks. So, my question for you all is: if you post on a general discussion board, do you feel upset when another provider responds to your post?

I for one like when a provider posts an opinion on one of my posts. What I definitely dislike is when on of the trolls attacks her for replying and often get the feeling would do so if she said the opposite in her post.

If I'm reading the OP's post correctly, he's saying the provider responded to him via a "message", which I take to mean a VIP message, and not another post on the thread.

Some people are going to fall in that category.  The way they dealt with it will vary. Some cannot accept judgement, cannot accept  critiques ,cannot accept  truth. Some will try to justify.  Some will lie to themselves.

Don't worry about it.The day we lost critical thinking is the day we lost soul.

that goes with starting a thread.  Once it is started, ANYONE can respond to any comment on the thread, whether you are monger, provider, or lurker (everyone has to start somewhere).   In other words, starting a new thread does not come with any rights to control who can post or what they can post.  Whoever did this is out of line and not behaving consistent with TER posting rules.  TER is one of the last platforms where free speech is welcomed (subject to reasonable civility, even when debating).  There are posting rules that you can read, but they are pretty lenient and merely used to prevent complete chaos.  Lol

The he you refer to is a provider as well. I suspect a she and not a he, too.

I am a she 😁 and yes I meant that the other provider sent me a VIP message basically warning me not to post in threads she started.

I appreciate your continued engagement, but I want to clarify a few things. My rates are set based on my own value and experience, and while I understand your curiosity, I believe every provider has the right to establish their own worth.

I want to assure you that I’m not upset by our conversation. I respect your journey as a long-time provider, but my pricing and business strategy are determined by what I feel is appropriate for my services. It’s essential for all of us to support each other rather than question one another publicly.

Let’s focus on promoting positivity in our community and respect each other’s paths.

Wishing you well,
Nico Veneta

You're not really supposed to discuss the contents of a PM on the board. Also, to be honest most clients on here don't care about the interpersonal drama between providers, just like you don't care about our drama and issues. It kind of seems unprofessional and makes some clients think you would talk about us in a similar manner. Not a great look for someone who hasn't had a review in 7 years and is charging $5K for 3 hours. Your job requires a thick skin and this place isn't group therapy.
.
I'd also clearly advise people to be careful about PMs. That stuff doesn't always stay in the PMs.

I completely agree that private messages should remain private, and I certainly didn’t air any private conversations publicly. It’s important for us to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in our communications.

I never called anyone out—she jumped in claiming my original post was about her. If anyone is genuinely interested in understanding why I charge the rates I do, you’re more than welcome to book a meeting to find out.

Additionally, if there’s so much curiosity about why I haven’t had a review in years, I may consider writing a post to explain how I’ve spent my time and what I’ve been focusing on.

You are allowed to charge whatever you want. That being said, there are porn stars with better reviews that are cheaper than you. Good luck and welcome back.

I appreciate your input, but I want to clarify that I am not a porn star, nor do I offer that type of meeting. My services and approach are distinct, and I set my rates based on my own value and experience.

It’s unfortunate that my original thread, which was meant to address, "Navigating Responses on Discussion," has been hijacked and diverted into discussions about rates and personal attacks. I believe it's important to keep conversations focused on the intended topics rather than turning them into comparisons or judgments.

Thank you for your well wishes, and I look forward to returning to the main discussion.

I honestly don’t understand understand why anyone cares what you charge. Really perplexing. You have your reasons and they work for you, whatever they are. Just can’t figure out what all the drama is about. I hope you keep posting here as we need more women, not less. :)

It's true that everyone has their reasons for what they charge, and I’d hope that other women would support rather than criticize one another. A jealous woman isn’t going to scare me away from sharing my experience and engaging in these discussions. I actually find the forums entertaining and valuable for connecting, learning, and expressing ourselves.

I look forward to continuing to contribute and connect with others here!

You did bring a personal, UTR squabble onto the main board here, and in addition, you essentially outed someone’s private communications. Wouldn’t it have been better, with hindsight, to have left out the issue with QB and just focused on the “provider’s responding to posts” part? Just a thought.

It seems that all parties concerned have said what needs to be said. Time to move on with no hard feelings?

But Nico said she wanted to go back to the essence of her OP. I am just pointing out I don’t think that is possible. I stand by my statement that she should have left personal, private matters just that; personal and private. But yes, I think it’s time for everyone to just move on at this point.

I never told you not to post on threads I started that’s slander. I welcomed you back and was simply notifying you that the post was directed at the hobbyists posting providers because I knew TER members would come for you. No harm no foul. You took personally as an attack it’s weird AF. Do you darling.

on another board that Robert is the absolute master of hindsight.  It's the only time he is right about anything.  Lol
