Note: I understand living in a hotel might not be for everyone, however, I wanted to share my experience.  

Hopefully, it will help those who are very interested in those types of living arrangements. I'm been trying to live the hobbysts/playboy lifestyle for a while and tried different places to live. I have come to the conclusion that living in a hotel plus bar is in fact one of the best or a mixed use building where they have a restaurant or club underneath and you can meet your date. I have tried it  for a few months.  

Super Positives  
-The party comes to you. If you live right on a bar/club there will always be new people coming.  
-A fresh supply of hot girls who are always coming to have fun and party.
-Excellent logistics, you are only one elevator ride away from your private room. This does away with having to drive to a place, having to "bar hop" or having to take the girls from your place which more often than not will make you lose the girls.
--Lax enforcement to no enforcement of guest rules: Depending on which apartment complex you live in. There are all sorts of guest rules that go on in "high priced apartments" where you need to register your guests, some even take weeks to get approval.  
-Meanwhile, in the hotel+bar or mixed use building, I took an SB to the hotel's cafeteria and then straight to my room and have no questions asked.

Nope, personally, I never have lived in such places as the ones you've named, nor to I have a desire to do so. As for living the hobbyist/playboy lifestyle, I just like getting laid by various women every now and then, so it's not an actual lifestyle I'm pursuing. There won't be any velvet monogrammed smoking jackets in my future.

When I lived in a different city and was more UTR, I lived in a building that was 5 star resort on one side and high rise residence on the other side. There were bars on the main level and on the rooftop, and a spa in the middle so there was always quite a bit of commotion from 6am to 1am/2am daily. It was a no brainer to meet for a drink, chat for a bit, and go back together or slide them your key fob and residence # and meet you there shortly.  

 
Although it was a great set up, it was important to screen more heavily because that was my private residence. And unfortunately, some great clients can become rather terrible ones with zero regard for boundaries over time.

If the Condo Fees weren't so outrageous, I would love to live in one. A buddy of mine owns one that he is renting out as an Air BnB out in Atlanta area. The condo fee is outrageous for me $500.00 a month.   I currently live in a condo myself,  but my condo fees are like 1/3 of that.

Great post, yes that's why I think its so important to choose the "right' place for this lifestyle. You generally want somewhere where you won't be bothered. The hotel is one of those places. However, I bet there are condos which cater towards singles which might make it easier.

I agree. At the same time, I'm thinking about 'mixed use' building where there's a bar underneath but due to lack of space. And not necessarily because they are offering a luxuries experience.

There are some properties around here where I live that are zoned for mixed use.  

 
There is a bar on the bottom and a small apartment on the top. Perfect for a single person, but the only issue is that these buildings are like over 100 yrs old, and while some of the buildings are renovated, you still can't escape vestiges of the bygone era.. Things like squeaky stairs, no duct work -  so baseboard heating and window A/C. Not to mention always potential of Lead Based paint and asbestos.  

 
I can totally see the owner banging some of the girls that work for him or drunk skanks that frequent the place back in the apartment. He uses it as an office.  

 
Some people find living in Victorian era property charming, but that ain't me.. I like modern shit. LOL

Basically, all over Manhattan you will find old 4 and 5 story walk-up apartment buildings with retail space on the street level. The apartment building entrances are the narrow (40" - 48") single doors between each storefront. Many of the Apartment MPs I visited (AAMPs and non-A MPs) were above bars, delis, pizza places*, hardware stores, restaurants, ....

One of the KMPs I used was above a Two Brothers Pizza shop that was being renovated. There was a fire in the renovated space, the NYFD arrived and the above and adjacent buildings had to be evacuated. A little embarrassing but nobody was harassed or arrested. (I wasn't there. I found out about it at my next visit a week or so after the fire.)
