Why while in my phone does a g+ sign appear under each thread ? Is this linked to my g+ account ? Is this what I can expect ? Will everything I do or say be linked ? Thank you of taking the time , Miss K

I don't think that everything you do gets posted to your G+ account, but your phone is giving you the option to. If you go to your G+ account you can see what you are posting there, or what contacts from your phone it is adding to your account.

This is so that they can do more effective targeted marketing, by using the combined characteristics of all of the separate online identities to create a profile of the "complete" person, whose "real" identity they can then make their sales pitch to.  

One way they will do this is by using rapidly-developing "re-identification" tools, which are becoming more and more accurate in their ability to identify people who think themselves to be anonymous online.

I have nothing linked to anything and I manually control all associations with my web presence. It's pretty simple really
