A touring provider posted on Tryst that she would be in my area the week after next. There were no screening requirements or rates in the ad, only an email address and a phone number for texting inquiries. It also said no texting pass, burners, etc. I wrote a polite email stating that I’d like to see her and asked for her rates and screening requirements. After 36 hours, I received a reply telling me to text inquiries to a number different from the one in the ad. So, I send a polite text from my texting app explaining that I can’t use my real# because my spouse and I are on the same account. But, I give my real number for screening purposes. I also specify the date, time, and duration of an appointment I’d like to make. So, 48 hours later, no answer.  

I've had that happen a few times - reached out on P411 and even though I saw that they had read my PM I never got a response.

Why would you disclose to a provider you have not yet met that you are married, and then tell her you don't have a burner phone?  The first mistake provides fodder for blackmail someday, and the second one makes you look like a newbie looking for your first session.   Texting is the way of the business these days, so first thing, get a burner phone that your wife doesn't know about, and keep it in a place she will never look.  I'm not married, but a married friend of mine keeps his burner phone in his car under the spare tire in the truck.  He's never been busted by his wife.

display your number to the recipient, most working girls don't know how to tell if it's a burner beyond the number being blocked.  Been using one in this biz for 15 years, and never had a provider refuse me because of the phone I was using.  

I can see where those of you who are professional in the operation of your business do not understand how bad some providers can be.
It also goes on the other side as I can not figure out how many time wasters and asshats out there that tend to bring out the worst in providers.
I know some providers well enough to understand the time wasting, last minute cancellations , unclean arrivals and disrespect  by some but also know of many clients with hundreds of
Trysts who may have never committed the above.  
Myself have missed one appointment and worked out a satisfactory arrangement and canceled
One other appointment  when exposed to Covid.  
Have run out of fingers and toes a couple of time counting the other way.

Why are guys giving out there real numbers ?  Sounds very dangerous to me, or am I missing something ?

Yep. The linked thread here seems to have some similarities to the operational approach used by the provider this thread is about. Not saying the results are the same if you attempt to contact. Point is just that we should not try hanging the blame on one side (and there might be some lessons learned for providers who do take a very minimalistic ad approach and wonder why clients are skittish).

Your weird obsession with constantly posting about your fear of being blackmailed is just that....super weird. It is 2023. There are super fast and lucrative ways to hustle and scam, old fashioned blackmail is not one of them.   And no, his actions do not make him look like a "newbie", it makes him look and act like a normal human interacting with other humans. Providers expect the majority of our clients to be married or in a relationship or have children (just like us!!) so it is not something we really care about or give it a second thought. I personally do not text, I only communicate via email (or direct message via twitter, TER, or P411) so I am not sure the need to go through all the hassle and money of getting a "burner" phone and trying to hide it, but your choice.  
As to why the gal did not respond? If she is traveling, depending on how long she was in an area she may have filled all her slots, worked, and moved on. This is our job. We are not trying to date you are start a relationship with you. Even if she was fully booked yes, she should have advised of this, which is good customer service. The fact also that she did not request any screening info or deposit does also sound fishy. Those are the hallmarks of a sting by our boys in blue, so this may have been a blessing in disguise.

YOUR opinion from your own perspective regardless of the limits of your own experience.  It may seem weird to you, but there have been many customers through the years that have posted here about extortion attempts.  I have seen over 1000 different providers over the years, and I will agree that SOME have the same opinions you have and would not consider trying to extort a customer, but I have also seen my share of BSC providers that will take any opportunity to exploit information from a paying customer to generate more cash flow.  While you think "old fashioned blackmail" is dead, why not do a search?  I did, and the words "blackmail" and "extortion" combine to show up over 1000 times on this board alone.  If you check regional boards and the Kgirl board, you will find more.

I'm doing throughout the day, I will log on to see what's going on that's new since the last time.  It's usually ten or fifteen minutes at a time four or five times a day.  It seems like more because it's spread out over the day, unlike many here who get on at night after work and stay continuously for two or three hours.  When they do that, there is more reading to do, because more has changed since the last time they logged in.  I exercise at the gym an average of two hours a day.  I don't really need to take a walk, but I enjoy a hike, the steeper, the better, but thank you for your concern for my health.  

There simply isn't remotely enough new content on this moribund site to require anybody to spend that much time here to read everything new. For example, I just got on after about 8 hours away and found only four new posts on this entire board. It took me less than ten minutes to glance at them. Now I'll check a few other boards but it will take less than a half hour to do it. Then I'll be gone for several hours before checking again.
So, as usual, you are exaggerating.
If you want people to take you seriously, try to do less of it.

there are several guys here that do that.  Some are my stalkers, but there are others who will log on, write a review, then post on multiple boards.  If you are only checking THIS board, then you probably won't notice it, but all posts are time-stamped.  There are also many who read and post on multiple regional boards, and the time they spend reading is not always reflected unless they also post.  There are times during the day when I have noticed the same thing as you, that there were "only four new posts on this entire board," but then there were other boards with more posts.  You can easily spend an hour here just reading what Impposter posts.  Lol   There are some guys on the Kgirl board who write longer posts than him.   After P &R went down, where do you think all of the guys who camped out most of the day went?

I used to give out my real number all the time that also contains my real name. The only reason I stopped was b/c it was getting too hard to keep up with calling/texting/emailing so I asked everyone to just use email. Guess what happened? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Well, I was able to keep up with messages and appointments better, so that was good thing!!  I hate to break it to you guys, but we are all small minnows in a giant sea. Sure about that? I can think of three times in just the past year. One is a SW who I saw, but then changed her policy... that took me a while to figure out. Another one, who plays cat and mouse with me to this day, is still refusing to see me unless I call from a carrier unblocked. And the other I've spoken to because she will answer the phone... to politely ask you to call her from your carrier. And I'm sure it's happened many times before, usually just appearing as an unreturned enquiry.

be traced to your real life ID, why block the number?  Blocking is a phone setting, not a carrier setting, unless there is something new I don't know about.  

since my iPhone downloaded the most recent upgrade it tags some incoming phone calls as "Possible Spam." I don't know how it does this but perhaps this is what's happening. There are also Aps that do a version of this.

the best feature on an iPhone, IMO.  Mine identifies many calls as either "telamarketer" or "Spam risk."  If I get either of these message twice from the same number, and they don't leave a voicemail, I block the number so they can't keep robo-dialing me.

I can't say for sure what you're talking about, but maybe: Blocking is phone setting, yes. Typically, calling unblocked from a personal phone on a carrier will have your name and number. That combo gets the girl to a wealth of info for verification purposes.
 
Calling unblocked from a burner gets her nothing! (Unless you were foolish enough to register it in your name and put it on a plan... I can't help you there.)

be a usage plan.  Pay the minute charges and reload the phone when it gets low.  No ID required. It's not the cheapest way to go, but it's the most anonymous.
