I noticed many veteran fuktards are very careful to keep their ID from the girls they see.
I can even see the need to use another handle. An alias of an alias basically.
Shit! The girls I have reviewed read my posts biff themselves, and say

I have never been worried about, or threatened by an escort.
I see no reason for me to worry about my ID.
Keep in mind. I am not married, and not that worried about getting busted.
I also found TER after two or three dates. So pretty much all of my experiences went like clockwork.

Basically I am asking to hear some BSC stories so I can get a handle on why some feel it is so important.
Not the obvious shit.  Married, kids, job.
I mean times when you had to fight a pimp. She followed you home. Stuff like that.

the need to hide one's handle is not always for the dramatic reasons you surmised !

Personally speaking, one of the reasons that I want to keep my handle secret is I don't want to get quizzed by a provider on the reviews that I have written. I had a very interesting incident happen to me a few months ago. I contacted a provider through the PM feature for an appointment, and she literally quizzed me as if it were a job interview- dissecting every single word I posted in my reviews, even going as back as 2008.

It can be very awkward position that one can be put in.

TBH TER, and the whitelist feature has gotten me dates I would not have gotten.
Age restrictions, and a small amount of ref's. can really affect the dates you can have.
P411, nor RS2K would have helped me.

She was just paranoid that I would grade her harshly. That's what I felt, although I didn't ask her. I just decided not to pursue the appointment. I have a few white lists myself, which I keep hidden for a good reason.

I am color blind

True story PS...When I was in second grade they were asking us to use crayons and make some pictures.  Well...I didn't know black from purple (hard to see shades of red and green and blue for me) so they were going to hold me back a year.  Ended up having my eyes tested and confirmed that I was color blind.  

Knowing what we all know now...I probably should have been held back...maybe by around 15 years

I guess out of 200+ gals I've seen over 38 years, that isn't too bad.

It was about 17 years ago - a gal I met at an MP.  We had about 5-6 dates, and she seemed nice enough at first, then she started in with TMI about her really weird upbringing and current personal life.  Next she started ragging on me for being married to my wife instead of her.  

I decided that would be our last session and left her a voice mail to that effect.

A couple of months pass and she started to leave creepy voicemails to the effect that if I don't contact her and start dating her again, she'll come down to my office and make a scene.

I decided to just call her bluff and nothing ever came of it - but it sure put a knot or two into my stomach for a while.

Met this young provider for one date. Everything seemed fine, normal, whatever. About a month passes and she text me out of the blue wondering if I would like to see her again (first warning sign). Said sure why not, and again, the session went well and everything seemed fine. Shortly after that I started getting texts and calls (always straight to vm) telling me some sob story about car breaking down and stuck far from home, and all sorts of random "problems". It was always "I'll make it up to you, or just consider it an advance for our next session, etc. Well sorry girl but I only P4P, no advances, no freebies. I thought it was over when again out of the blue (at least a month had passed) when my phone starts BLOWING UP with texts and calls. Was still a dumbass newbie so no hobby phone. After a few hours of just ignoring her and thinking the problem would go away I was starting to get really pissed. Did I mention I was at my mothers funeral while this was going on. I kept my cool but politely asked that she stop calling as I was at a funeral. That only made it worse and I got called every name in the book, threatened with all sorts of violence, and generally freaked the fuck out. Finally after three days, I said fuck it and cancelled my phone and changed my number. Moral of the story..... THANK GOD FOR TER!!!

The whole premise of sharing a bad experience assumes that I somehow owe this information to others, and at the same time outs me to the BSC provider.

Talk about all downside and no upside.

The "thanks" of a few "bros" are totally worthless here, to be frank.  What will that do when said BSC provider goes nuts because I publicized something on a board?

But to publicize it...not real smart and for the real reasons you discussed.

Heck...I've tried to post threads/posts over the past year on truly dangerous hookers and TER has more often than not removed them.  And then that same BSC hooker ends up in the slammer and perhaps if TER hadn't been so quick to remove those types of threads that a few johnnie boys might have been spared the indignation of LE questioning.

Oh well...gotta use the back channel method to get the words out.  Still plenty of BSC hookers that are out there!

I do not hide my handle and it works fine. Not perfectly, but fine. If asked for my handle, I will provide it, though I do not offer it. If someone quizzed me as you were quizzed, I would welcome it as a useful part of my screening and quickly reach the same conclusion you did - best not go there.

Even when I do not give out my handle, my style from first contact through to the review seems to be sufficiently distinctive that no one has much of a problem figuring out who I am if they want to do so. I have had a few exchanges with ladies over something they perceived as negative in a review, but the exchanges were all reasonable, pretty friendly and it all worked out fine (I changed a couple of reviews, did nothing on the others).

Unless the lady is a complete rip off, I ask her permission to write a review, which may avoid some of the crap. One or two have asked me what I will say, and I reply honestly to that. A few more asked me not to write a review, usually because they could tell we did not click. And there have been a couple that I did not review despite them asking, because while they worked hard and tried to do a good job, I found the experience so much of a turnoff that if I tried to write something it would be unfairly negative. Mostly these were forays on the cheap and trashy side when I got exactly what I should have expected, and did not like it at all. Since the ladies were exactly what they were presented to be and I chose to go there, how do I criticize them for that, or write a positive review about an experience I found really unpleasant? Best to just shut up.

And that may be the key to avoiding those unpleasant review confrontations - knowing when to STFU.

There is an upside to having people know my handle - ladies have an idea what I like, and try to deliver it without me asking, making for better first dates. I have also met a lady or two through those same reviews. Yes, there are times when I feel like they know a little too much, but practically it has been a very big plus on balance.

BSC is often applied to providers with emotional issues severe enough to display damaging behavior towards clients when it is totally unwarranted.  They are so far gone they don't even realize their behavior damages themselves as well.  However, BSC can also be used to describe neurotic johns who stalk, out or otherwise abuse providers.
