My current ATF I've seen for 3+ years and it looks like she's becoming jaded but doesn't see it yet. Maybe time for me to move on. She's a good screw though.

News to me. I had one for 4 years that went swimmingly well for the most part, only ending with her retirement.

Seems to me I've seen other hobbyists on this board talk about "relationships" with ATF's that lasted far longer than even that.

By the tone of his question the OP already knows it's time to move on. He is just looking for validation, which I am sure he will find here.

If it's getting stale, MOVE ON. That's why most of us hobby to begin with.

From a strickly hobby sense, it's as long as it's fun...  or you could say "more fun than you'd have with a new girl".  
It is twisting road...  even without "falling for" at ATF, friendships are formed.  Is this a business arrangement or is this a friendship (or perhaps which is the dominant factor)?
I think the earlier post was right on, that you are not really feeling it & time to move on.  I no longer have a single ATF but has a few "Favs" who I see.

Which IMO is grounds for termination. Or...maybe it's you that's become complacent, and not the other way around? Often when we ourselves change, we start thinking everyone else has changed. Either way, if things have grown stale, gotta let it go.

If she is worth the money then see her.  If not find someone else.  Only you can decide that.

...3 years is the hard and fast ATF hobby statute, so it looks like you've violated your operating agreement and are probably now subject to various fines and disciplinary action...  It doesn't really matter that "she's a good screw" because there are so many more important factors in your decision as to whether or not to continue seeing her, not the least of which is it has now been more that 3 years, the well-known statutory limit on seeing an ATF.

Really, what do you care?  If you enjoy your time with her, then keep seeing her.  If you don't, then don't.  This is all about having fun, right?

And, in what way does that effect you. It doesn't seem to get in the way of you experiencing her as a "good screw."

According to Slipperyfun I've broken the hobby rule of seeing my ATF for over 3 years. But, each time with her is still as good as the first time, and each time is a little different. Plus, I like the safety of her set up, she's practically always available when I want her, she's minutes away, and there's never any drama. What's the saying: "Never mess with perfection." Well, perhaps not perfection but pretty good none the less.

You'll know when it's time to move on.

Well, from the other side of the coin.  I had a Great 10yr.  relationship,  until 3 months ago(when he had to relocate)  do to work & the economy. Theres No telling how long we stay in these relationships.  Everyone is diferent in what we seek/need.

Look at the positive side- Your Not married to her! and able to come across another great lady.

Variety is great, but comfort 'food' is always cool to depend on and look forward to.

IF for whatever reason you feel like the strings are too attached on either end for your liking...then part ways. Or if anything, take a break. UNLESS, you want tight strings attached (there is nothing wrong with that as long as YOU are comfy with them and willing to deal with them). If you want that, but you know it can't go further...end it before one of you get hurt. However IF you think you've become too complacent, don't ruin a good thing over this. Have fun with another girl(s) then evaluate whether or not you'd like to continue with ATF based on your wants. We are professional daters. ATF can likely handle it, though, she may want some feedback (assuming its for biz purposes), but that's all... I hope.

I'm a rookie, and still optimistic about the biz, but people are people no matter if its in this world or the civvie world...yet our personal incentives (aka wants) have to be met in order for us to be motivated about what we do. Whether it be obtaining a masters or spending $700/mo on a car note, we have to be motivated by whatever type of expense we are *voluntarily* taxing upon ourselves so that it is line with our wants.

Both parties, lady and gent, have to check themselves occasionally when things get outside of our comfort zone. Just be wise with how you check yourself babes Don't blow a good thing and don't hold on to a not so good thing without testing whether or not your options are better. I know, it's probably similar to how you select your SO. But this is dating, just have to separate your reasons for dating a provider from dating a civie then go from there.

I'm a nerd, I only make decisions based on facts/evaluations based on history and my personal strategy for success. I don't go off of how I am feeling at the time. That's crazy. Never did that, never will.
