At least in Atlanta I am reading more and more reviews that state the girl is Asian or Hawian but you look at her ad and she is clearly African American.  Is this common in all markets and why would a reviewer do this?

Here in states girls want to be something else. I think most highly review African American (or African descent) TER girls are truthful.

However lots of hispanics have african blood. Hawaiians are mixed so the african americans claiming to be Hawaiian may be true. I found filipinos and mixed Hawaiians have flat broad noses so american whites may confuse facial featured with american blacks.

My Samoan friend came to visit and my neighbor thought he was black because he was dark, broad nose(but has straight hair), My neighbor knows I'm dark but don't have broad flat nose, so he thought I was Asian Indian (my father is). I identify as African Trinidadian.

To OP, that's not true, where did you get this info (diseases, pimps, bad neighborhoods). You can't generalize a whole race of people.

I see what you are complaining about, and I feel your frustration, but I think this is much more complicated than you are giving credit.  The most recent US census identified that 32% of the population of the US reported themselves as a combination of 2 or more races.  Almost a third of the nation doesn't fit neatly into the racial categories that have been used to delineate the segments of our population!  My father is black, but my mother is half Indian (ethnically from Mumbai by way of Guyana, South America) and half Irish.  At a glance, I probably look African American, but I do have facial features which are clearly indicative of a racial melting pot.  Since my family lived nearer to my mother's family than my father's, I grew up identifying more with my Carribean and Indian heritage than that of my African American one.  I don't feel categorizing me as "Black" is accurate.  If I were a provider and listed myself as black, I imagine any black client coming to see me might consider the listing misleading and inaccurate.

In the 80's interracial dating became largely acceptable in mainstream social views. In the 90's it exploded. Now you have like a gazillion multi-racial 20 - 30 somethings. So these chicks are mostly of that ilk...e.g. she has a 1/4 Hawian in her and 3/4 African-AMerican she claims to be Hawain...

But if you're wondering why all these black chicks (and they know they are and will be percieved as "black", whether by the tone of their skin or the kink in their hair) are choosing to claim to be anything other than black - it's mostly because there are still fucktards like the dude above who stereotypically associate black with being the lowest common denominator. The short of it is, they don't wanna scare away all the old white guys with all the money. But I bet they are proud as hell to be black any other time. It's just marketing.  

On the other hand, some people are so ignorant they think anyone with brown skin is black. There are quite a few hispanic and carribean cultures with common african ancestry and several psuedo-Asian cultures as well.

I understand a provider can put anything she wants in an ad, but this is in reviews?  My question is more along the lines of would that be more likely to be a self review or did she ask her client to use a certain choice if he did a review.  Maybe she asked TER to change it.  I just don't understand why a review would be inaccurate?

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on this matter...not ALL black providers are as you've so blatantly stated...there are those out there who cares about the welfare of themselves as well as the welfare of their clients and would not compromise their health or safety in any way. It's true that some black providers are as you say they are, but so are other races....I've scanned the ripoff section and the majority of the rip off girls are white...so its not just black providers that anyone needs to be weary of...drug abuse, STD, pimps, etc are rampant in all races and what you've stated about it being just common with us blacks is really not a fair statement to make. Just my $0.02

Believe me.  I live there.  I have also seen this trend you describe in ads in mainland cities.  Obviously, the intent is to convey some impression of the exotic; grass-skirts and all.  In reality, the features of a typical Hawaiian girl (that is, high quantum of Hawaiian blood) is not necessarily bad, but not likely to be stunningly beautiful, either.

I think it was Axeman's response that set the tone extremely negative. Each person is entitled to their opinion, but I disagree with the negative connotations about black providers. I have met several black providers that were classy, safety conscious and wonderful GFE companions. I have met some white providers that I declined to engage because they were perfect examples of what Axeman described but they were white.

Each person is just that ... a unique individual that should be edified or condemned based on their personal situation. Categorizing any group like Axeman did is appalling. Years ago, I am ashamed I stereotyped groups of people, not just blacks. Years later, I grew up.  We need to give each individual the opportunity to be themselves and not lump into some derogatory  category. To not do so . . . is like saying that based on Axeman's response (assuming he is white) all white men are racist pigs. I think not! Grow up Axeman.

I personally can vouch that there are fantastic black providers (and other not white providers. Of course maybe I hang out in different circles than Axeman, and his experience is a mirror image of the circle he hangs out in.

Regarding your initial question about why providers might want to be identified Asian or Hawaiian could possibly be to create the fantasy, and not to be dishonest. Who knows. But I would expect the best until actions showed me otherwise.

Yes, it works both ways, doesn't it?

Who knows? Especially when TER has rather strict pegs in which to place providers. For example, my review read "african american" but anyone meeting me in person would assume I am hispanic. Due to my look and actual ethnic background, it wouldn't be crazy for another reviewer to say I am hispanic.  If someone booked me on being AA alone, they would probably be disappointed.

Nonetheless, this is the fault of the reviewer, not the one being reviewed.
