I start my time from the moment we meet.  What he decides to do with that time is up to him. I was recently told that others don't charge for the time spent at dinner. Do they or not? Guess we were both at fault for assuming.

I think most providers start when the date begins if it's a dinner-date special. I can't vouch for everyone, though, and I guess that's between the friend and the provider. Some people are very good friends, too, and perhaps some of it's off the clock.

I think that it really is up to the individual provider.  Technically, I would have to say that the clock starts when he/she arrives.  But being that this is a matter of personal choice.  Many that I have dated will stretch out the time much longer than agreed upon.  I think that if things click and you enjoy the guy and would like to see him come back for more, why not make him feel special and treat him to extra if he has the time.  Honestly... having a nice dinner isn't as physically demanding as 4 hours straight in a bedroom, is it?  It's all about customer service and how to maintain clients for the long haul.  Like Ciera says, many become friends too.

A dinner date is at a reduced rate. The date starts when we meet up, we go to dinner, and we come home to play. I try to keep the dinner down to a resonable amount of time so that he is not cheated elsewhere. And, I generally chose a nearby restaurant so that his time is not cheated with travel.

more time on the clock these days. Why do we even have friggin' set hours? I've never been a clock watcher, but someone who was supposed to have sent me money (cheap bastard) for an extra hour that he abused hasn't yet. I'm still pissed about that one. To be honest, I'm getting tired of men trying to extend a one-hour session into two and then not wanting to pay for two. Other providers have emailed me about this problem as well, so there's definitely some irritation going on out there. In fact, I think that would make a new, good post.

In most cases I pay for three to four hours, depending on the kind of restaurant and the time to get to it.  I prefer to make love first and then go eat. (Hate to hump on a full stomach.)  In most cases, we finish up on time, but occasionally it goes over a bit.  I don't think any provider was ever upset over that because there was no real attempt to do her out of her fee.
