You've been seeing a lady for years. Over the years, you've bought her thousand of dollars worth of lingerie. She thinks your taste is hideous.

Guys, how would you want her to tell you? Do you care if she never wears the lingerie again, if just that once for you?

Ladies, how would you tell him his tastes aren't the same as yours? Or do you just model it for him and toss it?

I have been seeing a guy for several years. He likes to bring lingerie that he thinks I would like. I've told him I prefer gift cards b/c it's better for me to pick my size. So now he brings gift cards and still hideous lingerie. What a waste of money! I'd rather have the money in my pocket or added to the gift card so I can buy more lingerie I would wear many times. Instead, I have tons of lingerie I've worn for him just once, and then tossed it in a storage bin.

You're just asking for trouble.  Give 'em the $ and let them buy what they like.  I wouldn't expect your average woman to pick me out a new shifter for my Barracuda.

However, since this is P4P....and if you do accept outfit requests, I'd probably just keep mum.   Do you get the impression that he really is concerned about you wearing the lingerie many times and for other guys?

that they sell at amazing in a plastic case. those ok i bought sme before r in 25 dollar range n fall apart and basically suck. if he went to viccy secret and got the latest seasonal colors n styles, he cant fail. sorry but no lady is gonna hate the latest NON SALE items avl that r hot at viccy secret,
thier new stuff is called "spring into spring they have these lacy matching sets in easter egg pastel shades. I just had client take me on a spree  thier few weeks ago and I stocked up on the thigh highs with pin strips, bras w matchn panties, we spent like 700. i got 3 new bras with machn panties and some crazy white dress type thing with garters.
tell him to dicth the ugly sale stuff n save it up for one nice matching set from viccys, u cant go wrong there, and its nice blingy and lace n pastel stuff.
 they have va bra that make ulook 2 sizes bigger which i love , i will have to ditch it once i get my plants this summer i hope,

he brings that stuff and gift cards, but still brings lingerie I find hideous. I think it's such a waste. I don't know how to tell him the latter.

People bring me lots of gifts- lingerie I do not like, books I don't want to read, liqueurs I'd rather not try etc. etc.

I wear it, read it, try it and report back because it amuses them.

Clients who've been with me a long time and know my honesty streak know better and just ask me what I want or take me to go get it.

For everyone else I am honored that they have thought of me and try to be gracious and accept and share it with them.

If you've known him a long time you can tell him his taste is terrible....or you can tickle him and wear it.  Men know when a gift looks good to them and when it doesn't.  If he doesn't like it then tell him what you really want.  Otherwise, why rock the boat?

I hate ruffles of any kind. He likes to buy expensive lingerie with ruffles. It's not like $25 stuff, it's expensive but still ugly to me.

I wore ruffles as a girl. lol and now I'm hoarding ugly ruffle lingerie in a storage bin!

If you are buying certain items because you think it would look good on her and you like seeing her in them, then just be happy she wears them for you.

If you are buying the items in the hope that she will like them and be comfortable wearing them for others to see, then you have to ask her about her tastes and preferences. and what makes her feel good.

When ever he gives you any clothing gift, give him a big hug and kiss, and tell him it's beautiful.

Then keep it in a drawer marked with his name, and wear it when you go see him again.  He will smile broadly.

You'll keep him as a good customer, both of you will be happy.

Yes, this must be approached with great care.  It is super easy to hurt feelings.  "It's not you, it's me!"  "I have a phobia."  "I've come to hate ruffles!" "I know you like to surprse me but please let me pick it out."  After a couple of years...  after you've rocked his world & are waiting to recover...   come right out & tell him what you wrote here:   "I'd rather have the money (in my pocket or) added to the gift card so I can buy more lingerie I would wear many times."  I'd play the "waste" card.

He probably just brings it because he wants to see you in it then. I guess I wouldnt worry to much about it. Sounds like the money isn't a big deal to him.

on my off time, so if you just want it for our date, ok, but keep in mind it may look retarded. Men have no clue about sizing, and think just because it looks good in the store, it will look good on every body type..not the case. I have to buy larger bras than panties, so unless they allow you to mix and match, I am always oddly matched in sizes.

Lingerie is a personal thing, just like perfume..I don't think hobbyists should buy it. If you insist, a gift card works better.

He brings the donation,  tips gift cards,  brings a gift you've picked out AND something you don't like?  And you're complaining.  Are you giving him the wife experience?

We're not mind readers. Maybe the first few were fantasy fulfillment but after that sounds like he thinks he "knows" what you like. I'm sure if you just straight up told him that he would appreciate it. Maybe not at first but that would wear off quickly I'm sure. I don't care how much money you have, buying someone a gift they don't want when the possibility exists to buy something you DO want would always be preferred.

Really. Wonders, that is spot on advice from the Fishman. Honesty isnt ALWAYS the best policy. The gent thinks you look good in what he buys. Thats the most important thing! By doing what fish recommends, you will make him feel very special and it is extremely thoughtful. I am in sales. I keep track of every personal thing my clients tell me. Their birthdays. Their childrens/wives birthdays. Their favorites foods/movies/books/sports team/theatre shows, etc. When I show up with something in my hand as a gift for them or their loved one that they love, you have just gone from routine customer status in his mind to cherished and honored friend/client.

LOL, so true. I think guys do this thinking they are being nice, and the stuff either does not fit or she just looks horrible in it. Still, if a guy asked if he could bring an outfit only to wear for him, I would just do it. I have only refused to dress like a Chicken and hatch eggs, so lingerie is no biggie.

Now I have to return the damn chicken suit I got for you!

Let's approach this reasonably: Send me several photos, and my Star Trek discussion group will critique them and render a decision in a few weeks. We're men of discerning taste.

but it seems the biggest lesson here is to be happy that he likes to see it on me. So even if I don't like the lingerie & think it's a waste of money, the fact that it makes him happy is what matters.

I am thinking that since he will buy you something you like, give you a gift card and still buy the ruffle outfit that this outfit has more to do with some fantasy or memory of his that what you like or want.  I think he buys you the other stuff or the gift card so you can buy what you want but the ruffle stuff must be his fetish.  Maybe its a memory of his first time or whatever it is it obviously really doesnt seem to matter if you will wear it again.  I kinda find it funny that nobody said this or if someone did I missed it.  He has a thing for ruffles.  Maybe I will like your hand me downs....lol.   I think you need to take some pics of you in the ruffles and give them to that obviously awesome client of yours.  And if he is a client from here.... I am sure he would recognize himself in the post. Just saying.
