That's at least three (count 'em, THREE) major warning flags...

Requiring a 50% deposit up front and allowing no reviews are two red flags common to the 'send me the money' scam.  Most also have high ticket prices, and supply no contact info except for a website-based info submission form (a few include a no-fee email address).  Most of the web sites use a similar format, and include stolen pictures of porn stars or internet models.

You might get lucky and escape with a wonderful encounter, but I'll take your wager and give you odds that you don't.

I have come into some unexpected money. Have had my eye on a couple of high dollar ladies ($1,500 2 hr minimum) for some time. Problem is they both require a deposit 50% up front. Neither allows reviews so no help there. The little head says go ahead but the big head says hold on there big boy. I can afford to take the hit but if I were screwed out of my money my ego would be bruised for being stupid. What’s a horny hobbyist with a fist full of Franklins to do?

All I can say is that I know I wasn't disappointed, but I still wonder what I missed.  I can't convince myself to pay in advance, so I'd pass but be prepared to look back and wonder what if...

Hold off on the high $ ladies.  Put the money to better use.  For 1500 you can have four different ladies for an hour.  Quadruple your pleasure with known reputable, reviewed ladies.
Have fun!!!

However in every case the ladies were well reviewed with stellar reputations and the deposit amount was typically 25%.  These experiences were amongst my best in the hobby but clearly the fact that the women were so well reviewed with solid reputations is what gave me the warm and fuzzy to send the deposits.  In addition I also had a very clear understanding about the rules of engagement in a case where one of us had to cancel, e.g. can a date be rescheduled?, when can the deposit be returned?, when is the deposit lost?

I'll end my reply by answering your final question:

'What’s a horny hobbyist with a fist full of Franklins to do?

Answer:  Bypass the unknown and find a well reviewed lady with a solid reputation.

For $1,500 you can fulfill any model or PS fantasy that you have as long as you do your homework.  Tread slowly dude...

take this man's advice.  I have had almost the exact same experience.  Paid 25% deposit for lovely incredible woman (2K total) and it was able to reschedule should need to postpone.  I loved it and would do it again.

I have paid 2 deposits in advance, but both ladies were highly reviewed by many hobbyists who had credibility.  I felt better with that kind of data.  In your case, I would stay far away.

I have spent anywhere from $200 to $1000 per hour for providers and have generally found no direct corelation between price and enjoyment.

Definately stick to women who are reviewed and most certainly when they want large deposits.

As for deposits, I ask for deposits for longer arrangements and those which require travel because it protects me and my investment of time and money. However, I have reviews. I know a lot of high priced ladies do the same for probably the same reasons.

Edited for typos

No reviews and 50% deposit is a recipe for disaster. In this hobby, when in doubt you need to move on and find someone another provider.

After I got my first big bonus check I went down this same path as you mention here with splurging on the high dollar hotties. And in all honesty, I was pretty disappointed. I had far better sessions with regularly priced girls than I did with the high dollar ones. I'll never do the high dollar hottie thing again.

My advice is...do your splurging in other ways.  You could have a couple of great menage sessions with two ladies. Or book yourself a different lady each day for an entire week.  There are plenty of ways you can splurge without throwing common sense out the window.

As a provider who now requires deposits, my suggestion is that if you are going to pay a deposit do it smartly.
1. Check reviews of the girl in question, if there are no reviews for whatever reason, don't do it.
2. What are the terms; is it non refundable under any circumstance? is it refundable if SHE cancels? if you cancel can you reschedule.

No interaction is worth the risk of getting ripped off. If you are requiring the lady to do something extraordinary and will put her out of pocket that's one thing, but to require a deposit for a "local" visit is ludicrous.

I have no idea about the two ladies you pose this question about...but unlike the other posters here, I will say that TER reviews aren't the only way to know if a lady is legit and what your time will be like with her.

Despite the popular opinion around here, not all ladies that don't have reviews, or that have been delisted are just a bad experience waiting to happen...and a lack of postive information on this site isn't proof of anything negative.

The deposit I can see you worrying about...so it is probably time for you to look to other sites, and find information in other ways...this industry existed (including high dollar ladies) long before the internet, long before BBSes, long before TER, not all information always came in a handy text box with "Juicy Details" and acronyms.

If you really want to see these two ladies then I say start looking at other sites, and engage the ladies a bit via email or phone (many of the high dollar ladies will want this anyway as they don't just see someone because he screens ok.).

Best of luck to you on whatever you decide to do...have a great time with your windfall.

and speaking for myself when I use terms such as 'well reviewed' and 'stellar reputation', I do not imply that someone limit ascertaining that infomration from a single source such as TER.  Other sites, as you mention, and back channel communcation from other hobbyists are examples.  So I'm with you in this line of thinking.  If possible try to get info from a variety of sources to assist in making an informed decision.

I also acknowledge the underlying literal validity of two of your statements but I begin to view things somewhat differently from them:

'...not all ladies that don't have reviews, or that have been delisted are just a bad experience waiting to happen...and a lack of postive information on this site isn't proof of anything negative.'

I won't argue with the literal aspects of that perspective.  Certainly there are good service providers without reviews and the lack of reviews is not tantamont to poor service.  However when attempting to make an informed decision, I know for myself, and I suspect for the majority of hobbyists, that the most successful way to increase my enjoyment percentages is to choose from well reviewed providers.  Yes there is always 'YMMV' and sometimes an adventuresome TOFTT session pans out.  There is no absolute sure way of knowing.  But decisions based upon reviews produce high percentage rates of satisfaction.

'...this industry existed (including high dollar ladies) long before the internet, long before BBSes, long before TER, not all information always came in a handy text box with "Juicy Details" and acronyms.'

Absolutley.  And most who played in those days will report that they experienced frequent rip-offs or poor service.  Today many hobbyists will assert that they haven't had a bad date since they discovered review sites like TER.

It's all about risk and reward and one's tolerance level. Reviews undoubtedly tip the scales in favor of avoiding bad times.

and regreted it the minute she walked out of the room.  I no longer give deposits PERIOD.  Yes, back channeling is a good info source if there are no reviews.  TOFTT, not likely by me.  I work too hard for my money to take a change of letting $$$ or more just be blown away--no pun intended.

On occasion I have settled the whole bill ahead of time but that has only been with ladies with stellar reputations (does not necesarrily means reviews, but other channels of information). But with no reviews or other method of verifying their reputations, no way.

First lady I ever visited with I had sent her a deposit.  She was nice on the phone but I was asking her to fly half way across the country to meet a total stranger and spend the weekend with me.    She had and still has the best reviews of anyone out there.  I never really worried about losing the money.  She ended up and still is my ATF.  I would do anything for her.

Ok, so she doesn't allow reviews (per her website presumably), and she requires a deposit. Both of these might be red flags. On the other hand, it may be that she prefers to be under the radar, and is legitimate.

Here are three things to ponder before making a decision.

First, and most importantly, how long has her website been around? I am assuming of course that she does have a website, and that is how you came to be aware of her in the first place. In the last few months alone, I have seen no less than three websites that were nearly identical in their style of writing, the promises made of particular services and activities, and in the fact that they discourage reviews, but do require a 50% deposit. The glaring difference though, was that all three websites had different pics, and the alleged escorts lived in different locations. I would be happy to link you to the websites so that you could view them and compare them to the information you have, but all three sites are long gone. The point I am making is this. Scam artists are fly-by-night. They slap up a webpage overnight, scam for wahtever they can get, and then delete the site soon after to avoid problems. So how long has the site you are looking at been around? Two weeks? A month? Several months? Longevity can be an indication that no scamming is going on, but of course its not the only indication.

Secondly, and follow up to the first question. The website states she prefers no reviews. Very well, that is her choice, and most men will respect that. The exception though is if the service was bad, in that case, generally all bets are off. Check for reviews anyways. If her website has been up for a while, and she is in fact a real provider offering services, you can count on being able to find a negative review if the service she offered was poor or a scam. The absence of a negative review again doesn't prove anything, but for guesswork you can make a reasonable assumption that no one has left her company unhappy with what they got for their money.

Finally, if you are looking at a website that has been up for some time, and can't find any bad reviews, back channel through local message boards to see if anyone else has seen her and try to find some information that way.

When it comes down to it, reviews are without doubt the most helpful means of gathering information and doing your homework, but careful consideration, your gut, and a little bit of footwork can be helpful too.

Hope this gives you some things to think about in making your decision....and good luck :o)

and there is no Team to report to with either good or bad news. Nor is there any easily quantifiable source of hard data to back the ladies claims now.

Count in the deposit required and this should be a no brainer.

Giving a deposit to an unreviewed ( and hence unknown) lady seems foolish.  Giving a deposit to a well-reviewed, and presumably trustworthy, lady, on the other hand, should be perfectly safe.  Then there is the other -- and separate -- issue: high-priced?  It's hard to believe that a lady who charges $1,000/hour will be any more enjoyable as a companion than so many of the delightful friends we all have experienced for more realistic and affordable gifts.

Ask yourself, what kind of performance and service that will justify another $1,000 or more?
Visualize the differentiation.....worth it?

from ladies in your area you have seen - and trust.
Do your homework well - check her website, attend a meet and greet in your area.
Your dime - personally, even if a deposit was not needed, I would consider an alternate route like a two hour foursome with more reasonably priced ladies who are reviewed.
Just remember - price is not necessarily an indicator of performance.

Give ME the money.  I will test out the providers.  If they are good, I will recommend them.  If not, you have not been burned, I have.  Perfect, no?  Smokey the Comedian and of Absolutely No Real Help, Here.

Don't do it, it will likely be a waste of money unless you're a millionaire.  I spent $ 1600 on a high-priced escort who gave me about 15 minutes and wouldn't stay any longer.  Besides being not so attractive, she was the worst sexual experience I have ever had.  After she left, I felt like I had been raped (not in the good way!).  Trust me, for that much money you can buy about 5 to 6 new girls just busting into the industry.  That would be a much better, no pun intended, "bang for the buck".
