I must admit, I'm very anal when it comes to my performance scores. If I get below a 9 (forgot it was a service), I chastise myself for not providing a sufficient service.

My questions to you gentlemen is this:

What hurdle does a provider have to cross in order to take her from an 8 (went the extra mile) to a 9 (forgot it was a service)?

If incall, does added amenities like steamed towels, cold bottled water, fresh fruit, grooming for men etc. effect your score?

All of the amenities you mentioned are a nice touch but the difference between an 8 and a 9 for me is all about the "connection" between myself and the lady. Remember the description-"Forgot it was a service".  I take that pretty seriously.  If the vibe didn't honestly make me forget that there was an envelope full of cash in the room then I will not reflect that in my score.  Of course what I am really talking about here is an intangible.  

All you can do is the best you can do.  An 8 is a damn good score in my book.  A 9 means there was some magic in the room.

I don't do reviews, as I would rather pay for the privilege of viewing the board than post personal opinions about the ladies. That said, extra amenities are nice, but I totally agree with BG that it is all about the connection. For instance, I love DATY, and have an old fashioned rule that ladies come first. If I can make that happen, it is going to be a 9, because I know the lady will in turn satisfy me. Just my 2 cents worth...

now there is one lady i've given a perf 8 to simply because silly TER rules required it. so in that instance this doesn't apply.

but in general to get a 9 she has to not be a passive sexual object but must interact and help shape the session in a positive way. she must express her own sensuality and enjoyment and be getting something out of it. (or at least make a convincing show of it, LOL!)

there is a further exception: "boy's night out". this is when by mutual agreement i totally call the shots in the session. some would call this perhaps being dominating but i dislike the term "domination" even more than i dislike the term "hobby". i only play the domination game by mutual consent, so it is only domination-play not domination-of-a-person.

i have finally found a credible favorite with whom i'd be willing to re-explore that aspect of my sensuality.

with civy SOs i'd take turns: boys-night-out on top, girls-night-out on bottom. but just for the record it's doubtful i'd pay to provide a girls night out unless she were totally gorgous, brilliant, and offered a substantial discount. LOL!

All the extras are nice, but, it could move a $350 girl to $400 to cover expenses. Then fall off alot of guys radars. Like Boston said, it's all about the connection. Greet him like he just returned from war, give him a Hero's welcome. Keep the warmth going, and you'll continue receiving 9/10's.

Many a time I've had scores lowered and when I asked why, the answer was that the gal couldn't get more than, say an 8, because she would only perform X and Y, but not Z.

Overall attmosphere would be describes as "over the top" if you supplied the mentioned amenaties at your incall.  Since our dates were outcall, I can't comment directly on your situation.

Performance, on the other hand, is spelled out in the TER guidelines.  If you offer all the menu items listed, you should receive a 10.  The key word is offer.  For example, if the guy wants a CBJ but you offer BBBJ, you should score the point for BBBJ.  Same goes for DFK, Greek, and everything else.  If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

I was wondering what would make you different and unique from any adult companionship provider out there? When we are having sex I want to be able to convince myself (temporarily) that you are as into it as I am.  Note, that is NOT accomplished with orgasmic moaning as soon as I touch you.

You have to be able to give the illusion that "you mean it".  Like the guy is the only guy you know.  Hence....I forgot it was a service.
Ladies that are scripted or mechanical, and just won't let things happen may have VERY full menus, but it may seem like a business deal the whole time. It's as much HOW you do it, as what you do.
For me the how goes farther than the what!

bottom line is the chemistry must be such that both the big and little head are enjoying themselves to the nineth or tenth degree to score as such.

well reviewed here on TER.  But, experiencing is far more fun than reading her reviews.

For me, the 9 needs unrestrained DFK, inventiveness on the part of the provider, vocal enthusiasm and responsiveness to DATY.

His response saved me the time of typing almost those identical words.

Amenities that I care about:
Clean room, shower, and towel.
Bed is inviting and clean.
Background music can add quite a bit depending on the music.
Lighting level somewhere between cave-dark and Klieg-light bright.

Refreshements, snack, wine, that kind of stuff I generally bring with me.

NO TV!  No ringing cell phone!

Now, these are merely the physical surroundings and environment that can help contribute to a positive experience.  When it comes down to it, I am not even sure if a provider can DO any specific thing to get a 9-type score from me.  I'm not saying that I am too harsh as a reviewer (although some may argue that point).  But in order for me to evaluate an appointment with a provider as a 9 or 10, then there has to be some kind of specific mutual chemistry.  Or at least I have to believe it is so.

A score of 8 (from me) means that I had a very good time and would likely repeat.  A score of 9 means that she (or her Provider Persona) stirred something deeper in me.  Laughter (hers and mine) is a very good indicator of this.  Getting me to (internally) say, "Wow!" in the middle of our conversation can trigger it.  Generally making me think that she'd love to be on a dinner date with me and me thinking that I'd love to be there as well.

Finally, apparent mutually enjoyable sexual interaction is key.  Hey, I AM still a guy! (lol).  Obvious faking anything will instantly kill the aura.  Any sense that she is, "Going through the motions" will as well.  Unrehearsed, unrestrained, relaxed pleasure is the key.

On second thought, maybe I AM a hard scorer!  Either way, an 8 from me is a good review.  A nine means you are a favorite.  I am not sure what a 10 would be.  Maybe me taking out a second mortgage so that I could wisk you away to Tahiti for a month??  

See, I don't view the number scores strictly according to some artificial check list...  They are a written description...  There are lots of little things that enter into the way I feel.

there's the mental connection which blurs the line with the physical...  Mmmm.  To get a 9, I have to get lost in the experience...  the world beyond our bed ceases to exist.  It is a high.  Even with the most romantic civie relationships or my All Time Favorites it is NOT guarenteed.  

While a lady should strive for 9-10's you really should be realistic that the union of 2 unique individuals may not always be the same...  And That's ok.  My Favs rate 8-9 performance pretty consistantly.

The most important part is the last line of a review:  Will you see her again.
