So I've been on a relatively long break from the hobby--almost 3 years. During that time, I gained a good 30-40 pounds and became depressed, but finally, with a little motivation, I set a rigid schedule of exercise and healthy eating. My motivation was that once I got back to my ideal weight and shape, I could reward myself with a "treat." That kept me going, and I dropped all of that weight in a little over 3-months. I feel better about myself (and look better) than I have in years.

I'm curious if anyone else has found that the hobby was a positive influence on your life (besides the good time the hobby naturally brings with)?

I like women, ok I love women, and I am only attracted to young hot women. I can't help getting older, but I can help getting older AND fatter. At 57 I still feel comfortable being with women 30+ years younger than me, both BCD and out in public. At some point I realize I am going to look like I am out with my grand daughter. Keeping in shape buys me a few more years of not looking like the grandfather of the women I am with.

Some people love the gym, I am not one of those people, but I hate being a fatass a lot more than I hate going to the gym. If I were the kind of guy who was willing to "settle" with an OTHFB, I could let myself go quite easily, but I refuse to be that fat slob with that young hot chick.

My goals are realistic, I was never GQ material even in my youth, I strive to be "not repulsive" and so far at least, I think I have achieved that rather modest goal. lol

A grandfather? that is a little harsh I think especially if you are a nice guy. Trust me we are never looking at it from that angle at all. Women 30 to younger thoughts are the older the better.

To acknowledge your will power on shading off the extra weight- CONGRATULATIONS. I assume it took discipline, consistency and will power, qualities that are not easily handed on a silver plate.

With respect

Most guys who were ever successful at anything, are competitive as hell. To include still bringing their 'A game' between the sheets, or at least thinking that they are, and wanting to measure up to whatever artificial standard they set for themselves.

Sure, if you're a better looking guy in better shape, you probably will get better service from some escorts. But ultimately hobbying is about feeling good, about yourself. I had a recent session, doing my thing in MISH, lift my head up from her perfect store bought tits, and she's grinning ear to ear. Yea, that made me feel pretty good.

for guys our age.  I do find that most girls I see will guess me at 10 years younger than I am because I stay fit and in shape, but that still makes me a generation older than them.  Lol

"older the better" phrase from many providers when it comes to customer preference, but its not because we look hot compared to a 30yo guy.  Providers have told me that the two most valuable traits in a customer are deep pockets (which allows for tipping and frequent repeat visits) and less physicality (meaning less strenuous sessions for the provider).  Both of these are more abundant in the older customers.

One of my recent SB's who was the closest thing to "age appropriate" for me was still only 29. We had spoken about what we were going to do if I were ever to meet her family due to the age difference, she suggested I lie and say I was 45 and he could probably accept an age difference and she also said I could easily pull off 45. That actually made my feel pretty good. lol

But when seeing a girl who's only 20, even 45 makes you OLD. But being mistaken for her father or uncle is a lot better than being thought of as her grandfather, but the truth is, a LOT of guys have grandchildren who are over 20 when they are 57.  I am just not one of them.

a desire to increase the enjoyment I get from sex in the hobby.

Of course just wanting to feel well and avoid illness ought to be enough, but every little bit of motivation helps.

It brings up a question:

If the universe is intelligently designed, then why do food that are good for you taste so awful, and foods that are bad for you taste so good?

Should not the laws of evolution produced the converse?

Is God just busting our chops?  (I think the answer to that is yes, but he has good reason.  We often act like of bunch of ass-hats.

The first one is work. Thinking about, planning for, reminiscing about, a visit to a beautiful lady gets me through a tedious work week. Not to mention it helps with the funding.

The second one is travel. I love to travel. Some of my trips are solo. There's nothing better than planning to have two hobbies collide on a solo trip. My favorites are seeing favorite ladies on my way through their city. And then seeing them again on my return trip. Of course, if I see a lady at my destination, there's nothing wrong with that either. Hobbying gets me on the road.

The next one is education. Of course I'm talking about sex education. The class we all flunked in college. Now, we could all be the professors with everything we've learned during our thousands of encounters.

Next is humor. This hobby, and these boards are entertaining. It causes me no end to laughing. Take the beautiful lady Rasha. Her sense of humor is unbelievable (not to mention her pics). I always smile when I see a Rasha post because I know she's going to make me laugh.

There are many other benefits, but I'll only mention one more. The story telling. Oh my f*cking god the stories are just too much. I can't tell you how much fun it is to sit with a beautiful lady pre session, post session, or during pillow talk, and exchange wild stories. Email story exchanges with atfs too. It's like reading great books.

As almost everyone knows, I spend a lot of time in CR where this is legal, I constantly see gringos, 60 years of age and older, out and about with their tica "putas" and there is nothing at all natural looking about it. They honestly look like they are out with their grand daughters and don't look like a natural couple at all.

I had a tica who became an SB of sorts after seeing her several times, she was mid twenties and she even said she didn't mind going out as a "couple" with me because we still looked like a real couple and she didn't look or feel like a puta when being seen in public with me. She did admit that she had refused to "go out" with a lot of her older customers for fear of being recognized with some "gringo Viejo" jaja

Now keep in mind I am talking about being out in public, not BCD time, but grandfather is not really that harsh at all. A 60 year old with a 20 year old most often does give off a grandfather/granddaughter kind of vibe. Some guys can pull it off, others can't. So far at least, I can still pull it off, but for how much longer is the $64,000 question.

I know it isn't easy. Congratulations. As for me the hobby wasn't a factor in my weight loss other the sex being a fun form of exercise. My motivation was surviving a major illness and looking in the mirror and realizing how lucky I am, yet I was still a stinking time bomb and could leave my son fatherless if I didn't do something right then.

Because I know when I'm getting laid, my interactions with women outside the hobby is with much more confidence.
I now have several women friends that I would not have had.

I'm friends with a few providers I'm seeing. I've taken them out on dinner dates and even took them shopping. I wouldn't have any female companionship if it weren't for this Hobby. One provider wants me to take her out to dinner on New Year's Eve.

I think your goals are wonderful. Especially if there related to you being healthier and a nice treat at the end sounds perfect to everything you have done to get to that point. I have also found that one of my clients now has starting getting into shape more after he met me, so I think us providers can be a benefit to the clients too. Way to go on your dropping the pounds.

That's awesome on the weight loss, and exercise helps with depression.  As for me I think the hobby helps with my depression, I'm fairly new to it, but I've been through some train wreck relationships that left me thinking wtf is wrong with me?  After numerous attempts at online dating I've become so jaded, that I was like screw this, let me just enjoy intimacy with someone, even if it's only for an hour or so.

So I can say I'm less stressed about finding the one, I'm just having fun right now and that's the main thing is I'm happy.  Keep up on the exercise though, and definitely treat yourself!

Keep in mind that sugar, fat and salt were relatively scarce nutritional commodities through out human history until just the last 100 years or so. Evolutionarily speaking, our bodies are "behind the curve" in adapting to the much higher levels of those ingredients present in the modern-day Western diet. We are hard-wired to seek out sugar, fat and salt, so most Americans (in particular) take in *much* more than they should, especially given the sedentary nature of modern US society. We were a much harder working (physically speaking) society 100+ years ago -- now most Americans "work" from a sitting position a good portion of the work week.

Add in all those components and it's no surprise that obesity is now classified as an "epidemic" in the US.

Lost about 60 lbs, found out that women perceived me completely differently than I perceived myself, gained confidence, and now have a sweetheart of a girlfriend as beautiful as any of the lovelies I spent time with while hobbying.  This hobby broke me out of my shell and changed me forever.

I continue to be amazed at how many really nice and fun ladies I have met.  I'd have to say that was unexpected.   I have enjoyed the diversity and variety, and have been fortunate with resources, travel and opportunity to  sample  a wide range. I have made a few friendships if you can call them that, more like a lady willing and wanting to just exchange some kind words in a message every now and then. I am conscious of my weight and appearance and feel that the hobby has motivated and rewarded me in this area.  If there is a downside, it is my own personal character flaw that the lines between fantasy and reality, business and pleasure sometimes get too cloudy/foggy whereby a strong connection can lead to some attraction that is emotionally unavailable.   In my case, I have to take some time away versus others that would double down and see more ladies to break the spell.  The hobby is a mixed bag and each of us have to do our own cost benefit analysis, both financial and otherwise.  I would say it has been a net positive for me but some thoughts have come to mind recently as to how sustainable that is and where I might cross a point where that is no longer the case.  Great question.
