I am in this because I find women to be fascinating, I am a 'giver' by nature and they give me an opportunity to give them sensual pleasure, and I just plain enjoy the intimacy and vulnerability of being unclothed with a beautiful woman, oblivious to the world outside, sharing erotic moments.

I'm in it because I am not at all good with picking up ladies using my 'good looks and charm'.  lol  It's a lot easier than the dating scene because I know the first time I am with this lady, I am going to leave her presence a very happy man, and not disappointed.  Unless I did not do my research, which believe me, I always do.

Yes, you spend a lot of money, but if you think about it, how much will you spend on a civie relationship before you get to home base?  Probably a lot more, except maybe for a pornstar.

I also got tired of visiting Rosy Palm and her daughters all the time.

Jabr, I am doing this for two reasons.  One, because I reached a point in my life I can afford to do it.  

Most importantly however, I do it because being married for 35 years to a woman who never has had the same passion for sex that I have, I wanted to experience that passion I always dreamed about.

I'm in this "hobby" because I am a pig. I have civvie relationships, the hobby is not a replacement for a "normal" relationship to me. I just love living the sex life of a rock star. How else could a "normal" guy bed so many hot, hot women?

I may fall in love and quit the hobby completely someday, but not today. lol

I'm mainly in this to avoid hurting people and getting hurt myself. I can't even say how many times I've met someone, dated them for a while, then left them because the spark was gone only to end up being/feeling like the bad guy for hurting them. This sucks! And, it goes both ways too. I've gotten burned myself. As a matter of fact, I once walked into a club and there were no less than 4 persons there whom I had past relationships with. Ouch! I like the "no strings" aspect of the hobby, thank you very much!

My last breakup occurred about 7 years ago. She was 10 years younger than me, drop dead gorgeous with a tanned athletic body and ass-length chestnut hair. She loved sex and we had a fantastic sex life for about two years. I told my friends after I dumped her that 80% of the time I spent with her was the best time I ever had. The other 20% was so bad that I had to let her go.

So now I'm pushing 50 and gaining weight and I'm never going to find another physical relationship like that. And I realize that I like being alone a lot of the time, and I don't like sharing the bed every night or letting someone else decorate my house or share decisions about my life or tell me what to do. I'm a selfish guy in that respect. So I have work and friends and family for when I'm feeling lonely, and I have an ex-wife and 2 grown sons and a mother and a sister and my brother and his family to share the holidays with. And I have my choice of many fantastic providers when I need someone with a tanned athletic body and ass-length chestnut hair and... well, you get the picture.

... shame on me 49 times.  I shoulda started hobbying at 14 years old.

It's because I'm lousy at the dating game and, sometimes, I just need the GFE treatment.

I've just gotten too lazy about going out to find someone new to start a relationship with. The hobby works for me for now, but I expect at some point I'll move on from it.

I like young gorgeous women. Young gorgeous women at bars don't like me. I am shy. The hobby allows me to have all the young gorgeous women I want without the stress of trying to meet them in other ways. It is a way to live fantasies. The women are all fantastic. It is all the benefit of spending time with women without any of the stress. It's a perfect world for me. Plus I don't have time to go out and meet girls on my own these days.

Similar story.  I have been like a kid in a candy store for the last 6 years.  I've have been cut-off at home (lack of interest on my part because she has not maintained her body) so I go elsewhere.

Hobbying is better than an affair because there is no baggage.  I pay the lady to leave after a certain time.

Minus the ex-wife/kids thing. Otherwise the "like being alone" and not wanting anyone to crowd me in my own home, I agree. I get to have a great "girlfriend" that doesn't bother me unless I want her to.

Not exactly.  I am in the hobby because it's easier, more honest, and less games.  In reading your note, maybe that's what you mean, and I am going in circles...

that there would be a pretty good variety.  For my part, it didn't start out for that reason, but it's getting there.
