alcoholic beverage?

Are we being classy? White wine (Moscato or Riesling), or a rum and coke.

Although I don't drink, that's the only thing I can stomach.

Not much of an alcohol drinker here. Don`t like the taste of wine or champagne. Don`t do hards. I`ll have beer occasionally, but dont like any dark or bitter beers. Corona is probably the favorite when it comes to beer. I`ll also occasionally drink sweet mixed drinks like margaritas, daiquiris and mojitos.

I'm not good at mixed drinks names. I let somebody else or a bartender mix something up.
But I have learned of rum and coke, adioses, long islands.
I'll drink and have drunk everything. Sometimes depending on the finances I've gone ghetto drunk cheap and a fewer times more classy. But mostly in the middle.
Now you've got me thinking about the weekend already.

Now anytime is a good time for drinking.
Bloody Mary in the morning extra spicy with olives, and the secret ingredient..
Celery seed.
Then mid morning.. Something you shouldn't knock before you try.
A light color beer.. Like Harp, even Presidente...
This is where I'm going to loose most of you.
Mix it 2 parts beer to one part Clamato juice..
For those of you who are normal..
Clamato juice is tomato, and clam juice.
It sounds nasty I know..
You will either love it, or it will make you puke.
It will cure the worst hangover if you can stomach it

My favorite drink is Welsh Grape Juice (Red or white). I really like Coke too but trying to stop drinking that stuff.

If it is at dinner, then I want something that goes with what I'm eating.  For example I had halibut last Saturday, and wanted a Riesling, and the place had a real kick ass Riesling called Kung-Fu Gal.  (Pun intended)

In the summer, I love to have a Bloody Mary with breakfast.  I load them up with horse radish and tobacco sauce, as well as a shrimp and an olive stuffed with blue cheese.  (Yes, I brush and rinse thoroughly afterwards.)

If having a lunch of a great cheeseburger, a bottle of Grolsch really hits the spot.

If having an aperitif before a fine meal, a Kir Royale really satisfies.

Now, on to more erotic possibilities, I love sweet liqueurs,  (Think Tia Maria, etc.) when licked from certain portions of a gal's anatomy (Love her to return the favor, in fact.)

I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.

The labels are cool. Lol.

Dad only drinks Ketel 1 if he's out on the town.  At home it's either Sobieski ($20 per 1.75) or Luksusova ($25).  Both are excellent and leave more coin in Papa's pockets to lavish on the ladies.
Papa also favors Tipsy Onions by Sable & Rosenfeld of Toronto.  Best commercial cocktail onions on the planet.  Pop uses the wonderful, vermouth spiked pickling juice to make it a Dirty Gibson.  Quite an appropriate drink for your whoremongering Dad, wouldn't ya say??

If you're going to add tonic and lime, it's a waste to use Ketel 1 because you'll no longer be able to taste its distinctive flavor.  Might as well use the cheap stuff if you're going to mix.

For nearly 40 years it was Pabst Blue Ribbon in cans, but I drank enough for six people. Now it's Sprite Zero (in a can, of course).

The original recipe had so much caffeine in it. It was banned.
People were beating the shit out of each other left, and right.

a waste of good Goose.  I guarantee you that if I blindfolded you and had you taste Goose and tonic, then Smirnoff and tonic you could not tell the difference.

It's really cheap and gets you shitfaced quite rapidly. I consider myself a bit of a Four Loko connoisseur.

I know Night Train, Strawberry Hill, and Mad Dog 20/20, but even that was 13 years ago.

Goose rarely tastes at all in a mixed drink, which is why I like it. I can taste crap Vodka very easily. Just because a person does not like straight Vodka, does not mean they can't enjoy a good one with something else. That's like saying because you don't like Steak Sauce (I don't either lol) that it messes up a good piece of meat (again, I agree lol), but if someone actually LIKES steak sauce and thinks it makes their steak better, why argue with them? It's about taste, not tact. We like what we like. I also like Mayo on Fries.

because it's well known 99.9% of people can't tell the difference, especially in a mixed drink.  Even straight, in blind taste tests the results are often surprising.  The NY Times tested all the premium vodkas about ten years ago, including Ketel and Goose.  At the last minute they threw in Smirnoff as a control.  Smirnoff won.
Now, I'm not saying your claim is BS.  Perhaps it's that sensitive tongue that's the reason why your BBBJs are so renowned.

I might not be able to tell between Goose and Ketel, but damn right I can taste that cheap shit a mile away, and I mean in anything. Of course, if they only put half a damn shot, maybe not lol.

At the high end, I can tell the difference between Ketel and Goose.  Then when you go to Belvedere and Mozart, to me they have no taste at all.  I can't stand the aftertaste of Absolut.  I've found two inexpensive Vodkas that stand up to Ketel for much less.  Sobieski, a Russian grain vodka made in the Stoly plant ($20 per 1.75) and Luksusova, a Polish potato vodka ($25 per 1.75).

Don't want to try that shit if it's even still around, but I have seen some news reports on it. It gets you drunk fast and wired as well. A lot of people get alcohol poisoning from it and end up in the ER...if they are lucky!
