Dare You To Do This

I don't normally go to Sbux. Their coffee is too expensive and too strong.

But anyway so I am with a colleague and we stop at this one that is like too fucking crowded for a place that sells $5 coffee and the economy is shit

Anyway, that part where you have to give your name so they write it on the cup. Ya know.

I briefly thought about putting Hobbyist.

Dare someone to put Hobbyist or Provider then post it on the internets, twitters, facebooks or whatever the kids use these days.

Wouldn't work for me I still have a flip phone.

For goodness sake, RT! Hobbyist, Provider, Monger, etc.. all have common meanings. Think the barrista at Sbux is in the biz? If she is in the know, think she'll out you? Silly.

'Kitchen's' and 'The Coffee Bean' are way better. Just sayin.

A flip phone.

Odd. Ohio must be very different. Every client I know who works in finance has some kind of work-mandated smartphone. Some of them hung on to blackberries for a while...but a flip phone in that industry is like a hooker having only a land line and some pre-stamped envelopes.

The flip phone has many advantages..........

the last one I lost and I just went to the B Buy and got another for like $10.

I never have to worry about a Provider stealing my phone on a date

When I go to renew my contract I pull out the flip and I act all dumb like and the guy at the phone store takes pity on me and gives me the lowest rate plan.

When the front desk guy at the hotel spots me talking on a flip phone he thinks no way this guy has enough $$$ to go see a hooker and doesn't give me a second look.

When I leave a date I pull out the flip and the $$$ and say "now how much do I owe you miss lady". The unsuspecting Provider feels sorry for me and says "oh it was $300 but for you it will be $20"

See technology is not all it's cracked up to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

There is the Finance you see on TV then............

there is the Finance that happens in the Midwest.

Of the 2 I will take the kind I do.

I deal with real clients with real businesses. None of this fake $$$ shit that the people in New York have convinced everybody that is the law of the land.

Ask yourself "How can a person legitimately make $500 million dollars in 1 year on Wall Street". The only way to do that is to steal, manipulate, (add negative adjective here), the process.

Wall Street is NOT the entire universe of Finance. Never has been and never will be.

I received my MBA in 1996. Two of my classmates took jobs with bulge bracket firms that same year. Within 5 years both relocated back to OH. Why? The shit just was not worth it. Oh some do well and make ungodly amounts of $$$. But for the vast majority it is a workaday existence.

So no thanks I will stick with my flip phone, modest salary and modest house in the suburbs.
