and are in the eyes of the beholder so to speak.

Personally, I pay no attention to those lists and scores. At the end of the day, I am going to see who I want to see regardless of who is on that list.

What matters to me in no particular order:

- menu
- looks
- price
- details in the reviews
- accuracy of profile and pics
- potential chemistry
- quality of website / ad etc

As has been discussed here recently, the TER powers that be modified the programming for the top 100 list.  Since that time, I've gotten several PM's from ladies that are happy, unhappy or confused by how the change has impacted their ranking.  I started to wonder if it means as much to the guys as it appears to mean to the ladies.  Looking at one city, there's a lady towards the top but significantly outside the top 10 who has a solid number of reviews (100+).  There are only 2 ladies above her on the list that I'd personally consider remotely in her league.  In another city, a lady recently got a 10-10 review and dropped from 1st to 2nd.  It seems that the #2 gal has less reviews, so her latest review did her more good statistically.  An agency was disappointed that several of her ladies (with great reviews) dropped off the list completely.  Now, I'm not attacking the system or asking for commentary on how it's set up.  More, I'm wondering if TER has simply added another stress point for ladies to strive to compete with their counterparts, and more so for something that isn't that important to us (well, me at least).

When I'm searching for a companion, I rarely look at that list.  My reasoning is that I know what I want, and it doesn't allow for me to filter those results.  A string of great reviews doesn't make the lady fit my selection criteria.  Thoughts?

I recently brought up the ranking question on the LA Board.  There is a top LA lady that ranks 35th in Los Angeles despite scoring an average 9.75, on looks and performance, on her last 10 reviews.  I asked the question of whether TER men care if a lady was still learning on the job 4-5 years ago, if she is currently one of the top ladies in the business.  I personally think that when a lady has a large number of reviews, over many years, the focus should be on the reviews within the last 12 months.

I have my list. That's what the 'my favorites' are for. Some are ranked high, some not so much, some not at all. I don't give a fuck. They made my list for a number of reasons.

I will say that since the criteria was changed, as far as they have to have a minimum of 20 reviews, or duos and agency deals(?) were shot down, that took a lot of ladies out of contention for a while.

I say a while because Edrienne Cole, for one, has 18 reviews. Just a matter of time till she gets 2 more 10/10s. And seriously, she's not going to get them? Then she'll more than likely be #1 or #2.

Same goes for Teatro Erotica. Though it's a group of providers, they're stellar in their own right.

Maybe if TER did a seperate deal as far as duos and the like, TE would be #1 I'm positive.

I do agree, though, that putting the number as high as they did makes for a more interesting comparison.

If a guy who was interested in just fucking the best of the best, by other guy's standards and rankings, this is the way to go.

Myself? I prefer the more personal approach.

Don't get me wrong. A lot of the ones on my bucket list are on the Top 100. Some aren't though, and there's a reason why.

Truth be told. Like mrfisher, I have never even glanced at the list, nor do I really plan to.

While it's not a big deal to me I do check it. Being on the top of a list matters to people. I know it matters to the ladies and to others that can say they are number ?? on the TER top 100. It is subjective. When you have been around a while you know that. But there are many that don't pay attention. They look at a number and go WoW #10 huh! ( or any high number). We are quick to say it doesn't matter but anything you can use to market yourself is important. I believe the minimum of 20 gives a much better indication of the ladies ability than just 5.

I dare say that for those of us that will respond it's not an issue but for many that won't respond it matters. It definitely matters to the ladies based on what Phil says and on what some of the ladies have said to me in the past about wanting to be in the Top 10 or 20 or whatever.

and what the prices were.  I amassed a large "Favorites" list.  But once I actually started seeing gals I stopped looking at both lists.  I had not  glanced at the Top 100 list for at least six months when the change was announced.  It's kind of irrelevant to me.  I learn about interesting new women form various local and national boards, as well as other sites.  Unless you are out to have sex with as many ladies on that list as possible it just doesn't seem very relevant.  OTOH, for some gals it may get them a lot of business.

The recent revision was a good first step in the right direction, but there should be a weighting that is added based upon the number of reviews.  How do you compare a girl with 200+ reviews with an average score of 9.6 to a girl with 25 reviews with an average score of 9.7.

Add to the mess the overall rate inflation that has occurred and you end up with a scoring system that is skewed in favor of new providers.  The provider that has been working for 7 years and received '8' for appearance 5 years ago now seems to be getting 9-10 for appearance.  Did she suddenly get more beautiful with age??? And the new provider who likely would have been getting an '8' for appearance if she were around 5 years ago is getting the 9-10s.

The other factor that the new rating system does not address is the fact that certain providers expand their menu with time.  If a provider was offering CBJ and no greek five years ago, but recently has started BBBJ and greek or decides to go 'really bi', then her scores will have improved.  While now she is potentially a 10, she is saddled with the prior scores related to the prior menu.

Top 100 is a nice list, but not a true measure of talent.

Whether it requires a minimum of 5 or 20 reviews to be listed, the system can't satisfy everyone.  I say just drop the top 100 lists all together and improve the search function.  Let the hobbyists search for what they are really looking for.  And let the providers be providers, not obsessing over the scores and ranking.  That's my 2 cents.

The list to me means nothing, ladies should not get bent out of shape if their not in the top 100.

Research, and reading reviews tells me everything i need to know, im not going to let a list dictate who i see.

But Kudos to the providers who made the top 100! Ladies who didn't make the list, work hard improve your performance and you'll eventually make the team lol!

I've always thought the numbers set-up is silly and encourage what I personally consider unsafe practices, not to mention highly subjective.  While I was a little surprised to see a 6 in my mix once, I like the idea of being solidly in the 8-9 range, and 10's are a smile maker (though simply a great match on taste and style)... I usually pay no mind.  My reputation and the experience of individual clients is what will make or break my business, not the scores of a handful of those I've met, and certainly not some ranking system on a discussion board.  Is it a "stress point" for some ladies?  Quite possibly.

One thing I found interesting was that a provider can be the at the top of the list but not be a member or participate in any way on this forum. Other than that..it was just a new goodie for being VIP

Focus in on the high 30's for the Carolinas list.  Perhaps you looked on the overall top 100.

I am an ass and legs man.  where oh where is my list?  guess i'll continue looking, remember it's the process not the end that counts.

After I contacted them they fixed it and I showed up. Once again..great TER Support.

The criteria is the average of your review scores. Your Appearance scores are averaged and your Performance scores are averaged. If your averages are in the top 100 of the ladies in your city then you are on the Top 100 list of your city. If they are high enough you may make the Top 100 of all cities.
That's how it was explained to me. That's my two cents.

The only time that I looked at that list is when I saw this thread ...LOL.  I've never used it to find new providers.

Much of everyones problem is not knowing how the scores are calculated. The other problem comes from pressure from some ladies to inflate their scores.

Since you scored 7.3/8.6 I looked at all the ladies with scores of 7/8 and 8/9, or higher. There were 33,958 ladies that scored 7/8 or higher, and 9576 that scored 8/9 or higher.

the list is far less important than:

1) uses a verification service I can be easily verified on (e.g. DtChk)
2) search features for experiences I desire
3) proximity and availability at the time and place I want and am able (this unfortunately rules out many)
4) pics that reveal a person I'd be attracted to
5) careful study of multiple reviews to get a feel for how a session can be expected to go, level of enthusiasm, unrushed, no upsell, adheres to time for scheduled appointments (e.g. last week had a scheduled appointment, when I got to hotel and called up - she asked me to wait another 30 minutes - I just cancelled - clearly someone I will cross off my list - if something unexpected came up, she could have at least called or texted me), personality I can relate to and enjoy
6) pricing at level I can afford

I'v eonly looked at the list for curiousity - and perhaps on a couple times identified people I had otherwise overlooked.
