I really put a lot of thought into my reviews, trying to be accurate but also trying to give the best picture I can to hobbyists that read it, of points that I myself feel are important.  I must say that I found it heartening, on the rare occasion someone has taken the time to PM me to thank me for a review.

I think I'm going to have to start returning the favor, on those reviews I find particularly useful.

Constructive criticism, both pro and con, is essential to developing good writing style.

Not on the ones where i mostly duplicate others but yes on the ones where i call a spade a spade.

But have gotten quite a lot on another site for which I review.  It permits people to reply directly to the review, so it's very easy to do.

Yes, but usually only from the lady herself, one even posted it on her website, and that was awesome.
On a different board, would get a lot of pm's from providers and members about reviews.
