I swear to holy Christ. I am so sick to death of hearing "she was a 4300 an hour hooker".

According to the transcripts (and there are least half a dozen on this message board on various threads)......he paid a total of $2600 for the actual encounter, and an additional $1500 in cash that was to be a 'credit' on his account for future trysts.

$2600 for a 4 hour date, plus her travel expenses and a total of 4 hours travel time is about par for the course. That puts her rate at around $400 or maybe a little higher.

Completely, I believe there was a lot of confusion in the news about the costs here.  The $4,300 as I understand it covered 4 hours together plus travel time (an hour each way), and the cost of the train ticket from NYC to DC.

Also, it appears he ran an "account" with the agency so there may have been money for future meetings included in the figure.

Even more than that though to me was the big deal made about how he had spent $80,000 over 6 years!

I hobby at least once per week (and I know there are a lot of guys who do it much more than I do).  If I see a lady for only two hours at a cost of $300 per hour, I am spending over $180,000 in the same 6 year time period, and that is only for two hours per visit, not the extended time he seemed to spend!  

He was booking multiple hours so I truly believe the actual amount he spent was significantly higher than has been reported.

Seriously, I've never gone that high but it's not 4300/hr, as other responses noted.  Most news sources are now saying she only commanded 1G/hr.

There will always be high priced escorts and  highfalutin agencies who prey on guys dumb enough to pay them. Let's face it, good sex from a good lady is good sex from a good lady and the price that is charged doesn't usually have anything to do with it. Of course, some guy's egos are so hopelessly attached to their libidos that they actually believe the more they pay the better it will be.

Her take is less than that after the agency took their cut.  Some local independents charge more per hour.

that the fee was for multiple hours AND he paid a deposit for a future visit.  So the real payment per hour was more in line with "our norm."
