I saw a report on a new contraceptive diaphragm like ring....
It could be a really great form of protection for providers.. Kinda like a full proof system..

Anyway. This thing is so new. I can't find the link for it..
It won't be approved for at least 7 years according to the reporters.

I did find the link to the idea behind a chemical that can prevent ST Infections...
The scientists have combined this idea with what they call a NUVA ring?
The result is a small ring a provider could wear..
So if a condom breaks, or anything else goes wrong..
They have an extra line of protection.

Here.. Check it out!

Most of 'em are on the pill or some other longer-term solution for the unwanted pregnancy issue.

"Barrier" methods are still the only good solution for the disease issue.  They haven't yet developed an HIV vaccine, or even a one-size-fits-all post-infection therapy for syphilis or gonorrhea

I don't think an implantable ring to prevent STIs is coming anytime soon.
