Something was posted a couple down from here asking where providers go when they leave the biz, and it got me thinking about how long they stay.  I looked at my own reviews and found that 12 are still displaying valid profiles (although I know at least one isn't around anymore), 3 more have bad website links, and 7 are no longer on TER.  My starting point is roughly 3 yrs ago, for what that's worth.  Additionally, I didn't verify that all the ladies in the "yes" category have valid links, just that they weren't listed as bad.

Or changed their i.d., as I did after an encounter with LE.  BTW, I have been in the hobby longer than I thought I would.  It was supposed to be "temporary" while I was between jobs.  Finding a real job has been very difficult for me.

I've been having difficulties finding a regular job,too. Been searching for nearly a year...and so far, no job yet.

I don't really look at a provider's longevity like a can of peaches.  I've done 50, 60and 70 year olds and each one was precious in her own way.  I'd say they have the half life of uranium.  And no stinkin' expiration date.  But I agree they can be hard to follow, but isn't that half the fun???

But truly isn't 50 the new 30?  All you need is money and a good plastic surgeon!

Me, I've done this full time for about 18 months and I intend to continue f/t until my partner Jessica graduates college so she can support me in the style to which I'm accoustomed.  (giggle)

I have so much fun though that even if/when we reach a point where we have an alternate income I'm not sure I would quit if I could afford to.

So check back with me in a year or two - or when I'm 70.

Sophie, I had exactly same thought as yours.

Besides, I keep having more and different projects, either offered by friends or even the gents I escorted, funny life and I am happy with that, keep being busy is always the good thing.

Few funny regulars had this kind of chat with me and we both imaged what we would be like when he couldnt hobby or when I get old. after a laugh we then set future appointment-to meet up and have some drinks and recall the hot dates we had!

I say(half joking half serious) Life is short, enjoy it!

Very good point. I was seeing a gal in Philly for a couple of years who was a former agency gal in NYC. Totally UTR-no reviews  and no presence on TER or any other boards. It used to crack me up when I would see guys asking where she went on the boards.
She is currently in retirement again but, if and when she comes back, only those with the good sense to keep it a secret will know.
