I am a current member who let his subscription expire (I know I am an idiot). I am a little nervous about using the credit card service to renew. Has anyone had any bad experiences with this? Any advise?
I'm actually more concerned about the credit card company calling and saying this is a charge from an adult entertainment industry and calling my home number.
That happened to me once before. Not with TER, with another subscription.
they are looking out for you, and were probably afraid of your identity being stolen. There is nothing illegal about paying for a legit adult entertainment site.
You can always change your phone number in your profile from home number to your personal cell phone. So no one in your household will get the call. Just a suggestion... A couple of yrs ago, my bank called me because they saw 6 consecutive transactions for $1.05 on my bank account. They got suspicious. It was nothing more than me going to McD and getting coffee.. LOL.. But I was glad that somewhere in their system a red flag went off, and they were able to catch it. It was quite funny actually.
I never carry cash. My bank looks out for me too well sometimes.. I download many programs for making music.. Most of them come from overseas. My bank texts me every time I buy a new program.. If I don't get back to them in 5 fucking minutes.. They lock my account. So yes. Be prepared for the bank to ask what's up. There is nothing TER, or the billing company can do about that.
if i am short on VIP days..i get the quarterly feature using a credit card..no muss..no fuss..discreet..

I tried getting VIP with our credit card. I soon after got a call from my wife saying someone from out of the country was trying to charge $ to our card. This after she got call from our bank I damn near shit my pants. She told bank to cancel card. I still don't have VIP either not going that route. You can go to many drug stores and buy prepaid visa card though and use it. I am just to damn lazy.
They are programs for making techno style music, and remixing existing songs. Google Ableton. Massive. And loopmasters. You'll get an idea of what it is. I was actually introduced to it by a provider. Got addicted, and haven't stopped spending way too much money on it. I'm all Mac. iTunes only for downloads.
suggestion: To avoid much of the drama mentioned above, use a credit card with NO international transaction fees. thats certain Visa and Mastercard cards, and NO Amex cards. call yr CC vendor and ask if unsure. that way, when a international transaction hits your card, and TER is a non USA vendor, it is a routine tranaction.
.. a 1 time use cc number for a specific amount for a specific purchase. The purchase and amount are cleared in advance, so no red flags. Number cannot be reused, so no risk of stolen cc numbers funding a Slovenian drug dealers vacation. It does show up on your statement, so if that is a risk with a SO, the prepaid visa is maybe your best bet. Just gotta check to make sure they will be accepted for an internet/overseas purchase. A lot of the "gift" cards you can buy over the counter are not accepted for such purchases. You can buy them direct from Visa on their website, actually.
