1- Use a 1 blade razor for shaving. (Not the fancy 3 blades MACH3)

2- Try "The Art of Shaving" products for all your shaving needs. They are a little pricy in compare to others in the market, but worth it.

3- Use what ladies use to avoid ingrown hair. ROUGH painful exfoliating wash cloth or body scrub!! You have to use it every time you shower and scrub your shaved areas as hard as you can until they turn red!  Seriously, it works!!!

Since I was a teen I've always had acne prone skin. Even now as an adult I still have the same problem. I get acne on my face, back, and the worst part is I get it on my groin area. I seen my doctor who referred me to see a dermatologist because my doctor did all tests to find out it's not an STD. When I seen the dermatologist he told me that it is in fact acne.

1) Question for men (ladies can answer as well). Does/did anyone experience the same problem I'm having? If so, how did you tell your ATF on the day of the appointment? Did you go ahead and make an appointment thinking that their was nothing to worry about or did you cancel/not make an appointment because of this problem? Did the person freak out?

2) Did any of you ladies seen a client who has/had acne on his groin area? If so, did he tell you it was only acne? Did you believe him or did you freak out and tell him to leave?

The reason I'm posting this is because I don't want to make an appointment with my ATF and then later on have her freak out on me. That might cause her to stop accepting my appointments. I need your answers and opinions.

Thank you.

Well Poster, Sounds like you have a problem here. I applaud you as a man for being so forth right. You must be a stand up guy.

I think you should definitely mention it before the appt. I would freak out if I saw open sours on a body part I was planning on rubbing against. Even if it is just Acne, It is the contact with the blood and the abrasions.

You need to get a handle on it.
Find out what is causing it.  Sweat? Then use deodorant on your groin.  We women use anti-perspirant on our delicate areas, after shaving so we don't get the lil bumps.

As far as the other guys scrubbing advice, it is widely known that you can spread acne by wiping the bacteria from one spot and then using that same cloth area to wipe another spot. You need to exfoliate but not till it is red.

If your acne is being caused by friction, then get different underwear.

You could be allergic to your fabric softener. I know loads of people who used to use it and now don't due to break outs.

Face it if you are having this problem all over, acne is a skin irritation gone wild. Find out what your skin does not like. Change to soaps with out dyes or perfumes. Change everything. I used to have these horrid breakouts on my face. Big nasty ZITS. I tried everything. Finally I went on vacation and my face cleared up. It was then I realized I was allergic to my cat.
So I paid more attention when I pet her and stopped letting her in my bed.

It cleared up about 1 year later she died of old age. No more cats for maddy. No more acne either.
It is clear you are having a reaction to something you have been doing since you were a child. Look around you for similarities what you eat, buy, wear, cats, dogs.
It is something,I promise.

When I wash my face, I use one part of the wash cloth per area do I don't speak germs around. I only use one wash cloth once.

Get a zit cream with saylic acid not benezoil peroxide. It works better at soothing the skin and does not make it flake up.

You can use it everywhere.

Keep the area clean and dry at all times.
Wear loose cotton undies only, trim up the area so you can keep it clean and aired our. DO NOT SHAVE IT and DONT PICK!!

Good luck.

a higher level of appreciation and respect for ladies after watching the video...

Things they do for us, are we hypocrites or what? Want them all shaved and smooth to rub our choirboy like chest hair on their silky skin!

that's why FATTony says use 1 blade razors, I totally agree,.. it leaves a little bit of the hair out of skin and causes less ingrown hair which are the main reason for getting pimples.

When I was just out of college and had just become sexually active, I awoke one morning to find the biggest ugliest purple pustule on my pecker that you could imagine.

Freaking out, I went right to the hospital ER and the doc, (a female one, of course) took a look at it and didn't know what to make of it.

From then on an ever increasing procession of people were paraded into the room each shaking their heads and looking sympathetically at me as if I were a doomed man.  I'm not sure who all these people were, but I think a few of them were housekeeping personel judging from the fact that they seemed to still be weilding mops.  I began thinking that someone was selling tickets to see the show.

Finally, a George Cluny type strode in, glanced at it for two seconds and said:  "It's a pimple for God's sake.  Somebody pop it!"

And they did.

Fortunately, it never grew back and I was good to go shortly thereafter.

Given a choice, use the word "saw" instead of "seen" and chances are good you'll be using more proper grammar.

Gezz , dude you are full of balongna1
He would have gotten that clearded upo and some Minacin. dude go online and get some meds from an online pharmacy!
What, are you allergic to antibiotics?
Probably MRSA

Yes, put it on the zits twice a day as they develop. Also, you might want to use some (consult your doctor about this) hydro-cortisone cream. They'll take the swelling and redness out. You'll be surprised.

Yes, zits have some kind of bacterial action going. It's my uneducated, scientifically illiterate hypothesis that a zit is really bacteria that's being pushed out of your skin by your immune system. Hence, or almost instinctive reflex to pop them and get that nodule out-- a nodule that's probably hardened plaque from bacterial bio-film. (Some of it is just biofilm that hasn't hardened. Hence they also turn red-- due to immune action.

after you shower. no fragrance. just plain white stick antiperspirant.. and not the see through kind.

you should see a difference in a few days.
