But any providers that THINK that mods can influence their reviews and are giving away free samples in the hopes of influencing some poor hardworking, underpaid mod are free to PM me. jk lmao.

This is entirely second hand, inadmissible in court and I never got any names, so this may have nothing to do with this group of Mods....   And I generally enjoy most of the discussions I've read here.

Had a recent tryst with a very well reviewed provider who tours a lot.  We  had the luxury of time to get to know each other pretty well, and TER was one of the topics we spent some time discussing.  Her one complaint had to do with someone who identified himself as a TER Moderator, one who "Reviews the Reviews" and who claimed that he could affect her business by either editing or keeping out good reviews for her, if she didn't provide free samples.

Now, I don't think that you folks wear an official TER uniform of the day, have a corporate badge on a lanyard around your neck or even a pointy gold badge to identify yourselves to the general public as the keepers of our loose morals, but she seemed convinced that she was dealing with someone in an authority position.

I also know first-hand how expensive this hobby can be and I only see a handful a year.  I'm sure that it must cost a fortune to 'stay on top of the trends' in this industry, so to speak.  I just hope that positions of power are not being used to take advantage of one of the little people.

I think it's important enough that it doesn't get buried within a thread.  I completely agree with Gambler's comments.  It was most likely a scammer trying to pull something over on an unsuspecting girl.

Moderators not only have no control over the review process, we are also not allowed to submit reviews.  I tried once, just to test the system, and we're actually locked out from submitting them, so it's not just that we "aren't supposed to".  The reason is primarily because a rogue mod COULD, by writing reviews exhibit some additional power.  TER has over 740,000 reviews in it's database.  That information is worth a lot of money to the ownership of the site.  Why would they be so foolish as to let some volunteer destroy that value to get a deal on some poontang?  Ladies flirt with the mods all the time in hopes of some preferential treatment.  Not that I don't appreciate the attention, but frankly I don't have a fraction of the power that you seem to think we do.  (sorry to the other mods for popping that bubble, lol)

you would not believe how many PM's we get from providers asking to edit or remove details from their reviews. As moderators we have nothing to do with the review process, we cant even write reviews!

These kind of accusations really piss me off. We come here and volunteer hours and hours on end every day. I can tell you the only thing I get is the satisfaction of giving back to the system that I took from successfully for years. Plus it is fun to be able to see behind the curtain for a change.

Gag, Phil, and other current moderators have weighed in on the question so I don't need to replicate their responses. But in fact, there was a time where there were legitimate grievances against certain Moderators abusing their positions. They aren't here anymore.  It takes time to rebuild integrity and regain trust, and the current group of moderators include long time respected hobbyists, people who have been active in the TER community for years.
All have impeccable credentials and cachet in the "hobby community", except for Gagambler, who's been an exceptional douchebag since the Johnson administration.

Not the risk of losing Mod status (believe it or not, it's more of a pain than a reward), but the risk of a pandering charge.  You see, as mods just managing board traffic, there is no direct benefit from the services provided by Providers on the board; BUT, if the mod takes a direct benefit (free or discounted sex) from the Provider IN EXCHANGE for preferential treatment, then the Mod is subject to jail time as a Panderer.  That threat alone is enough to keep hands off of hot stoves.

Beyond that, the site itself monitors what the Mods do on the boards and immediately investigates any complaints of the nature you described.  The site knows who we are, so the first level would be to match names.  If the name matches, then they get very, very serious.

If there is ever even a scintilla of suspicion that a Mod is trying to scam anyone based on his status of being a Mod, Admin comes down on that Mod like a ton of bricks.  Chances are, the Mod will be banned for just suspicion so that the site doesn't take an unwarranted chance.

Mods cannot affect reviews, however there is the possibility that a Mod can delay the posting of an ad until it falls to the 2nd page, and thereby affecting business.  Theoretically, there could be the chance of that kind of threat, but the safeguards in place by admin effectively make it highly improbable.

I have a feeling that either the provider was making shit up, or the guy trying to scam her was.  If either was willing to discuss it with anyone, then why didn't they contact the site?

I do not know if that kind of behavior is still going on with the new TER mods, but we all know the old mods ran half the good providers off with that shit.  But keep in mind half the hobbiest are doing the same thing to the girls.  Why do you think we have to scroll BP, CV and other sites to find the girls as they won't post here anymore.  I see it all the times a girl with great reviews from old time members, all of a sudden have a real bad review slamming them.  Now common sense would tell you that some loser lied and wrote the review out of revenge and most likely hasn't even met the girl.  Yet the mods still list those reviews even though we all know they are fake, and by them refusing to post anything that is not explicit enough, stops half the members hear from posting reviews.

More often than not these girls are harassed by guys who they refuse to see, or can't afford their service or are just plain pissed off that they have to pay for it.  While some of us like big tits, some of us like the older, mature escorts, even opinion is different.  The lack of trying to help sort out who is harassing who and sticking up for the escorts that have good reputations, is why all the good providers are disappearing from TER.
Seems like about the only ones left here, are girls under 21 charging only a few bucks and that see 10 guys a day and do not provide a SAFE, DISCREET Incall.

I don't have a clue if some guy without a name is a mod or no.  The point is he claimed to be a mod because he thought it'd get him some free pussy.  I damn well guarantee you there are guys CLAIMING to be mods on here and on other boards.  Some might be, most are scam artists, nothing more.  Couple gals have told me they've heard that kind of line.  The gys who pitched the line may well be liars but the providers who say they were propositioned like that probable aren't.
