Everyone, I tonight have been the victim of something I never thought would happen to me. I found a provider in Austin Texas in Backpage. I texted her, it got late and wasn't going to be able to make it. She then threatened me if I didn't come she would make my life a living hell and bomb my cell phone  with so many blocked calls I would have to change my number.

Next time do your home work before contacting anyone again. But there is no need to change your number or shut your phone down because of this person. Sounds more like a scam to me.
But to help you out here depending on your phone but there is an app out here called Mr Number, you can block numbers even private and blocked number and report her number as Spam. hope this helps!

If you're doing business with a non-vetted service/provider, I suggest you use a burner phone. There are also apps available that mask your number with an alternate number to keep this from happening in the future.

Ummmm, let's see....tell her to go fuck herself and shut off his phone?  Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it's a burn phone.  He can go buy another for $20.  If he was contacting a BP girl with his primary phone and then wired her money from an account he's identified with, well, he may be TDTH (Too Dumb To Hobby).  At least now he's learned a lesson.

I use email at this point only. Got rid of my phone a few months ago. Not necessary imo. Safer for both 'he' and I. The 'voice' can wait til we meet face to face or there is always Skype if all else.

My bank makes me jump through tremendous hoops to do a wire transfer.  There's no way I could pull this off in a few minutes in the middle of the night. And my bank would need the recipient's real name, bank routing number etc. and for security purposes they grill me with all kinds of questions before they agree to it. And a wire transfer is not instantaneous--it can take hours or days to go through depending on where the recipient is.
If OP is talking about Western Union he would still neex recipient's real name and where did he find a WU open at that hour?

If you wired her money you had to have a real name, a bank routing number etc. and both banks and Western Union would help if this was a real fraud situation.  Your excuse that you've had the phone number for years is also suspect--all your friends would understand if you got a new number and you could make up any reason.  But we're supposed to believe you want to keep a number that a known blackmailer/extortionist now knows she can tap for easy cash. Friendo, that dog won't hunt.

The whole "I wired her money from my bank account" at midnight is just one of the things I call Bullshit on. While it is possible to initiate a wire 24/7 if your bank has issued you a PIN number, the likelihood of a BP scam artist suppying a bank account number to send it to is extremely unlikely, not to mention foolish. If true, he now has all of her personal information to press extortion charges, again I call BULLSHIT. Oh I almost forgot, even though it is possible to initiate a wire at any time of the day or night, the wire itself won't go out until the wire desk of his bank opens, typically 9-10 AM, certainly not at midnight.

The wire transfer game has more rules than most hookers.  Even with PINS set up I can tell you that my bank(s) still wouldn't initiate without my approval...assuming the vendor is not already been approved by me.
