Just getting back in the game after 6 years and Im noticing a lot of changes in this hobby.

Anyone else getting a lot of last minute cancellations or is it just me?

What would you do if the planned date doesn't work out due to last minute cancellations or miscommunication on the provider's end?  One cancellation was simply due to mistaking me for another client... classic case of overbooking. Feels like I'm competing with other clients to be honest.  

Do you look for last minute opportunities and hope?  

2nd night in a row with last minutes cancellations with two different providers and the 4th cancelation this month. Not gonna lie, feeling kinda bummed. Dont get me wrong, I do appreciate the providers who was able to give advance notice. Even a few hours is appreciated.

But these last minute cancellations just feels disrespectful, especially when Im already enroute to the location. I'm at a stage of my life where I value my time over $.

Do you keep trying a third time with a different provider and hope it pans out? That'll take more time to do properly. But you already wasted two days and the mood is already low. Do you just deposit the wad of bills back in the ATM and go crank one out for that post-nut clarity?  

Maybe, be thankful for more disposable $ piling up

Use that to purchase the best VR sex set up. The ones with the synchronized sex toy that shifts, moves, and twist to mimic the sex in VR.

In 2023, you can book an adult film starlet on a date at a reasonable rate, get that real world experience as a core memory, then extend that experience via their VR videos using synchronized haptic dildonic technology.  

We do pay for the experience and I'm starting to realize there is a better alternative to this experience out there. When done in the right combination, it's cheaper, safer, and less stress.

from a provider I’ve seen several times. She said she thought her symptoms were from allergies, but as the appointment time got closer she wasn’t sure it wasn’t something else, so she cancelled out of caution.

 
I have no idea whether she was being honest with me, but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt as it was a plausible reason to cancel, and it’s not disrespectful to be concerned about getting someone else sick.

 
I was looking forward to seeing her, but now I have some extra cash for a longer date with one of my favs. 😊

chalk it up as bad luck. When I first started out, I had that bad luck streak. One of the advice from here is to book a 2-HR session at a reasonable rate. I did with a fantastic touring UK girl, and the streak was over. Nowadays, I mostly see agency girls with very little notice, with a 99% success rate. Don't ask about the other 1%. LOL

 
You can decide what the reasonable rate is if you take that route. Good luck!

As you are probably well aware , several but not all providers lack the 3 C’s, probably because many are in this for the short term, not the long haul.
1.  Customer Service Skills
2.  Common Courtesy
3.  Common sense
During the pandemic Most Providers were more willing and accomodating, because their Revenue was severely impacted due to the falloff in supply of hobbyists.  In the last year, I have found a few of these same providers to be more independent with attitudes of entitlement since Supply of Hobbyists has come back.  I believe that sometimes last minute cancellations occur, because a better suitor comes along.  I get it if I book a 1 hour appointment , and a better opportunity ( multiple hour appointment or even an overnight), I am going to lose out.  It’s just the nature of this hobby.  Another reason may be, your Provider may already have seen 2-3 other appts earlier in the day, and may be physically/emotionally spent!  Just my theories.  I believe most of us have had last minute cancellations;  it has happened to me, not very often, but it has happened!  The Few times, the Provider has reached out and sincerely apologized and promised to make it up to me . (She did).  To answer one of your questions, I am forgiving and I do believe in giving everyone a 2nd chance.  However I never give anyone a 3rd chance, in business, Real Life, or Hobby Life!

I’ll chip my .02 in. Only because I’ve heard more than once about some providers cancelling on you because a longer, more profitable appointment became possible.
Who thinks this bs is acceptable? Let me give you only one example. I was a dentist for 40 years. Never, I say again, NEVER did I ever reschedule a patient needing a short appointment, or a no fee appointment, so I could book a  more profitable appointment. That would be unacceptable. If I EVER find out someone cancelled my appt, for another customer, not only would they be told off as only I can, but I would never see that provider again. I would also out them on here.
Any providers here want to defend that position?

It is because you are ethical and utilize the 3 C’s well!

As I previously mentioned, Longer Visits to Providers usually win out. I am not happy about that, and providers who cancel 1 hour appts for multi hour appts usually don’t care about our feelings, especially if they are in it for the short term!

Did you state to the PROVIDERS that you have just came back after 6 years of being out of the HOBBY?! If not, then you should have.

Just a couple of nights ago a provider ghosted me. Showed up at her incall and sat around waiting like a putz. Numerous unreturned messages and 30 minutes later, I bailed. A couple of hours later she sent me a note claiming she'd fell asleep. In the middle of the afternoon. Right.

But--that's the first time that's happened in 30 or 40 appointments, and before that, years. So a trend? Haven't seen or heard of it here in LA.

have a much lower cancellation rate than indies, and that is my primary market as well, but I have noticed over the years that you almost never see a post like this that also says, "she was a well-reviewed provider on TER."  When it comes to indies, customers should ONLY book with girls who are well-reviewed on TER.  That will eliminate a lot of these kinds of annoyances.  

 
With that said, business is business.  If I had a new client who wanted to meet about doing a million-dollar deal with me, but then I had a request for a meeting with a client who was interested in a ten-million-dollar deal, I, like most business people, would find a way to move the smaller deal to another time, by contacting him immediately and telling him if he can accommodate the time change, I will make it worth his while when we do the deal, and I would.  

 
If providers did this, I would understand and have no problem, but they tend to want to keep the customer they are ultimately going to cancel on the string for as long as possible in case the bigger customer cancels on them.   This is wrong and should not be tolerated.  If a provider who I had scheduled an hour with told me she had a customer who wanted an overnight, but it meant she could not see me on the day I booked, but she then told me if I was willing to move my appointment to a few days later, she would give me 90 minutes for the price of one hour, I'm not going to turn her down.  She keeps both customers and both appointments by being upfront that there is a conflict without making up bullshit that she has the sniffles or fell asleep. It comes down to a question of honesty from providers for me.  I always try to work with providers that are honest if there is a time conflict.  

I'll do a $100 million deal with you. Can you make change? I don't carry anything smaller.

I don’t think anyone needs to ask me about trends where no shows, ghosting, or basically not honoring an agreed upon appointment are alarmingly common at 8am. That said, I just had a provider who had no,problem at all seeing me on time with no drama at 8am. Her review will reflect how well this provider knows her 3 Cs.

I don't think it is that hard to imagine a lady of the evening falling asleep mid day.  She's probably not a 9 to 5'er.  Probably "medicated" too.

It  seems to me that while many providers complain about a lack of respect from clients, they do not see that the respect needs to flow both ways. Mutual respect is the only way this works!

Frankly, I don't believe that our feelings or respect for our feelings comes into play for many at all.
