I have been enjoying seeing traveling companions as they come to my city. I started sending a PM thru my verification site asking what time I could book either of the two days she is available, if this person is only in town for a couple days, in hopes of sending just one request and not having to get the E mail back saying I won't be checked in yet, or I have to be out by, or I have an appointment at X and wont be ready to see anyone else until X...my thought was to find out what may be a good time based upon what she says and send the request. Is this a smart way to approach it?

I also assume if that lady is only here two days and her ad on TER got 300+ reads in a week prior to her scheduled day, the odds I wont see her is very high. Is it normal for a woman to not respond to a PM, or even a request when they are only in town a couple days due to too many inquiries?

I'm not a provider, but here's my experience:

If you leave it vague, like I'd like to see you when you're in town, what's a good time? You often (not always, but at least 80%) get crickets.
If you're specific, like I'd like to see you Tuesday at 4 pm, you're more likely to get a response; however, it is also likely that the response will be "no" with very little guidance as to when she is available. Sometimes just a "what other times could you come. " Drives me crazy! turns into some sort of cat and mouse guessing game.

I'd suggest requesting a #1 choice time slot and also at least 1 backup time and if your schedule permits, ask her to propose another time if either of those don't work.  

And keep in mind, this is only from my experience, but emails that vary from the standard "id like an appt this day, this time" are generally considered suspect. This is due to the fact that about 60% of emails I get don't result in appointments and never would in the first place.  

Given what you wrote here, your request makes sense and it sounds like you were in fact trying to be accommodating which is polite of you. Maybe without the context though it could have been dismissed as not serious.  

I can't speak to getting overbooked and not responding as I always respond even if I am too busy for an appointment.  

If I've never met the person before it's impossible for me to weed out time wasting emails with 100% accuracy. I'd like to think I'm right most of the time, but inevitably I'm wrong and dismiss someone who was serious about an appointment. Often it depends on how much I've been jerked around that particular day.  

If I were you, I'd try again and say at least one day/time that works for you as well as the fact you're willing to make another time work if need be.

I had loads of views on a recent Seattle advert and only two appointment requests from it! and it rains a lot there

So true. My recent ad had over 600 reads and it resulted in ZERO bookings.  

I find that both men and women alike simple peruse the ads out of curiosity and to see the photos. That's what pushes the numbers high. But stop assuming it means anything else.

I travel with some frequency. I think PM through TER is kind of hit or miss. Usually guys who PM through here think that means they don't have to be screened which irritates me. Sometimes I am really good at logging in but if I am busy I might only log in once per day. Email is much easier to check because it is linked to my work phone.  

As far as ads are concerned, some people just click on the ads to look at the pics or whatever. It doesn't mean crazy bookings. Typically, if she is advertising it means she still has time available. If I am totally booked, I'll stop posting ads.

Anyway, amount of clicks don't equate to amount of inquiries by a long shot. there are people click click clicking as they go down the page. Most of the same people clicking on her ad are also clicking on the other ten around hers.

Definitely if you're going to contact her, make sure you are available 24/7 during her tour if you aren't listing your availability.

If you are worried and want to sound like a serious inquiry, here's a great outline for you.
1. Introduction (or screening information)
2. Make sure you say how much time you are interested in. i.e. 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. She can't give you an accurate timeframe if she doesn't know how much time you'll be there.
3. Tell her when you are available. If that is any time from 9am to out the door by 10pm on both days, say so. If it is only between 10am & 6pm, say so.
4. Don't ask for any special requests in the first email i.e. "You say 90 minute minimum. Can you do 1 hour?" (Not saying you would, just if you're worried about getting a date, I'd stray from that.)

I can't see anyone being upset about that.

Thank you for the responses. I never PM in TER for appointment inquiries. When I am serious about seeing someone I like, I reach out through P411, so the companion has access to see my profile/references along with the message. I guess I never thought about the percentage of guys clicking links to see pictures and those with the intention of actually booking an appointment. LOL. I own a small business and am a sole proprietor. I should know that when you advertise its always a percentage of calls that is generated by an add of some kind.

I feel like I learned my lesson just firing off an appointment request straight away, because it usually needs to be adjusted with some back and forth and that can be annoying....or the lady in question is out of town or doesn't have an incall at the time I want a date. I have even asked local ladies in a P411 PM if they are available on a certain day the following week, with out a time. This is me putting my foot in the water seeing IF I can get away, that they are currently in town/accepting appointments that week and have an incall that week/day.  I usually get responses like yeah, Ill be around. This way if my plans fall through, I didn't make a definite date and then break it at the last minute. I poke them [no pun intended] a week ahead and if it is looking good on both sides, Ill send the formal request a few days ahead of time.  

I did actually get a response from the lady in question who is travelling here, or her assistant. I simply asked in a PM that since she is coming for two days, what is the earliest time may I request a date and the latest I could request a date on either day. I got back an interesting response. There was only a 3 hour window available each day between 530pm and 830pm. I quickly responded with a formal request with a time on the second day based upon that info. Seemed to work out well

Remember to pre screen in advance to avoid missing out and choose her preferred contact method to reach her. When reading the ad look for her e -mail or phone number. Although contacting someone via PM is good you want to make sure you are not missed but if you truly have to send a PM definitely still send her a e-mail or contact her by phone as well.

is almost always spelled out in her touring ad. Email, phone, website, contact form on website --- look for the instructions provided and FOLLOW THEM. Taking shortcuts and detours will not move you to the head of the line. Typically, it just gets you bounced off her radar completely because you look like you are going to be a pain to deal with already.

If you have access to her through some other site, P411, TER, Twitter, etc - you can mention that you are on there as well (and tell her who you are!) and that you will try contacting her that way AFTER you approach her the way she has instructed in the ad.

Most emails are scanned and often, only take the intellect of a brain damaged goat to understand. One liners, text speak, vulgar requests off the bat, asking for time/rates/services like you are at a drive up window at McDonalds, etc.... these are the ones that get scanned and usually dumped without a response.

Make a proper introduction. You don't need to offer your life history but treat her like a human being whose time is limited and valuable because of it - and you'll have a MUCH better experience all the way around.. and a better reputation with providers.
