My question originates from a previous post regarding hobbiests requesting a lower donation rate than what the provider advertises. In my business, if someone is asking me to reduce my rate, it's due to hardship or entitlement issues. What are the typical reasons the ladies hear, regarding requests to lower their donation rate?

lover and promise to get you off.

I will come back and pay full price if I like you.

I am going to become a regular so it will all work out in the end.

I'm a little strapped right now, can you cut me a break?

I am the moderator of an escort website and I can make or break you.

The last lady I was with said I was so good, she should pay me.

I am Beefeater500 and I have never done this before...LOL!

And the lamest of all....But I am Terrev...one of the top posters on TER.  I have 15 White List referrals and 26 Date-Check Referrals...so you know I must be good...LOL...LOL

There were a few bad apples that were "relieved/fired" for bad behavior similar to what you describe.  This practice is strictly verboten by TER.

I would never have even thought to ask for a discount like that.  I guess they are not a VIP member and dont have a way to gauge the prices in their area.  I mean it is not rocket science to see what the going rate is.

I get requests like oh I only have 100 what can you do for that? My reply is send you to freedmont st. LMAO

Anytime someone wants to bargain down a ladies donation its an insult IMHO. Because every provider sets her donations at what she feels she is worth. No one has a right to bargain her lower. Its ridiculous. If you can't afford what one asks then do your homework and find one you can afford.

the whole idea that it somehow insulting to ask seems strange to this NYer. I'm a professional  who bills hourly and I'll tell you that everyone in this town gets handl'd (from the Yiddish Handlen - To bargain; to do business). Accountants, Lawyers and in my case, even my ex-wife's Plastic Surgeon (yes he came down 10%).  Like I said I always leave the posted donation and usually add extra but the idea that "no one has the right to bargain" is ludicrous; guys can ask and ladies can say no...last I heard it was still a semi-free country.

The only time I lower my donation is after a client becomes a regular.

To me, they are loyal to only seeing me and I don't mind doing that.

I do not like when its the first time that I am meeting them and they request it.

I am worth my donation PLUS some.

I know that makes me sound rude, but I am great at what I do and my clients know it.

If it ever came to that, which it never would, I just don't know what I'd do!!!  How frightning!!

I've asked providers is a special is still on where I've seen it advertized.  The lady will tell me yes or no.
I might ask if an unknown provider has a special for the time interval I have in mind.  She can say yes or no, & that's what it is.
I don't see any reason for a lady to take offense.  Of course, I have to decide if I can afford the freight...  or if I have to pass.
Specials are usually a small percentage, when available...  not 50%...  I DO resect the ladies providing excellant services I WANT.  I would not disrespect them by making an insulting offer.

I am on fixed income & DO have to budget.

Dear Shane:
I was wondering since the bottom line is money what would be your bottom line and how much lattitude do you give yourself in the event that you are going to negotiate with that person? After all I know that there is a minimum that you want to come away with although you are giving a discount. Also since we are on the subject, would you also grandfather regular clients at the previous price when you make the economic modifications with respect to your rates and your overhead?
