It's the guy's own fault. Both problems are so simple to overcome that a twelve year old could figure them out:

Some people think that because they have a cell phone, land line phones cease to exist. If it's a local number, make your call on a regular phone, then dial the weather to prevent redial from dialing the provider's number. If it's long distance, go to 7-11 and invest in a $5.00 throwaway phone card. It's a lot cheaper than a divorce lawyer.

2. For emails of a sensitive nature, set up a free, web based account with Yahoo, Hotmail or many others. Your spouse wouldn't even know the account exists, since it resides on the Web rather than on your hard drive.

A little common sense goes a long way.

Rule number 1 seperate email account, at work, not accesed from home. Rule number 2 erase recent calls on cell phone before going home or before wife gets home. Rule number 3 have cell phone bill sent to and paid at work. Rule number 4 Be VERY VERY CAREFUL. Sorry about your friend.
