Act like you own it and belong, and you do own it and belong.

Zero issues.

Just curious if anyone has noticed increased screening by hotel personnel when arriving for an appointment on account of virus precautions?

No, I haven’t.  I’ve worn a mask in the lobby, per the big sign on the door.  No temperature check, or any other measures.  Other than the mask, same as in the past. I’ve rarely been questioned, and if I was ever asked, I say that I’m good, or I’m looking for the bathroom.

seen it all.  Lately, I've been seeing my indies by using dayuse.com.  They will sell you a four to six hour block of time in the middle of the day for around 60% off the overnight rate. Did one last Sunday in SD.  Got a $350 ocean-view room from 12:00-6:00 for $140. Some will start you earlier or let you stay later.  They also had a 2:00 to 9:00p option for $200, and a 9:00a to 3:00p option for $120.  The later you want to go into the evening, the less chance they have to re-rent the room for an overnight guest, so the rate goes up.  Its really a slick way to get extra money.  Waiting to 3:00 or 4:00p to check in is inconvenient for me a lot of the times, so this is something I have been using often the past year.

I came up to the front desk WITH my hooker of the day, and the lady processed us in without batting an eye, the same as if it was an overnight booking.  When you worry too much, it makes you look suspicious to others.  Sign on the front door said wear a mask in the lobby, so we did.  That's it.

When you walk in like you've been there before, nobody bats an eye (even if you're obviously a tgirl hooker like moi).
For appearances, I walk in with a small Skyway travel bag, which is actually empty other than some "toys" & makeup for fixing the post play face (so I don't have an obvious BJ face when walking back thru lobby an hour later lolz).

With the covid reduction in travel, I think the hotels are probably happy for the biz and though you may be under more observation because there are fewer people to observe, they probably aren't going to chase out the few customers they have.

Zero issues.

I have rendezvoused at specific properties that offer digital keys.  I literally stayed a few hours with zero contact from Hotel associates.  My dates usually enter the premises with a mission and attitude that they belong there and there have been Zero issues.  This has worked 5-6 times.

So how are people (providers or hobbyists) getting hotel rooms (the few that are open) in lockdown states? I'm looking at the hotel websites here in CA and most of them point to state restrictions regarding travel, and that booking a room is restricted to essential travel only. So nobody asks what your purpose is and why you are essential? So this rule is not enforced or even mentioned during check-in or at any other point?  The state rules ban people getting together, essentially you can't visit other people, family, friends. So hotels allow visitors to go and visit guests?  I realize they need the business, but just wondering whether it's a total disregard of the restrictions, or if there are some hurdles to navigate.

that applies generally. Each state (and sometimes locality) is different.

I travel frequently between and among 8 east coast states, including a few sometimes labeled as "epicenter" states.  Each state has slightly different "lockdown" rules. Most seem to rely largely on voluntary compliance.

Never had to produce travel papers or prove anything to book a room, move about within or between states or localities.

In the South,  states have lifted some of the restrictions

Some hotels locked the doors when the state and local orders went into effect. But by early April I was able to book a room at will here in LA. The only difficulty I encountered was that if you were one of only a handful of guests at the property you stood out more. But fortunately none of the desk clerks asked "Will two hot women be joining you in your room to fuck your brains out sir?"  And when the lady(-ies) arrived, they reported no problem getting through the lobby.

I want to travel to LA this month and was looking last night at hotels. Quite a few mentioned essential travel only.
I wasn't sure if they were asking for paperwork. I heard from another lady not in LA that while checking into a hotel person in front of her didn't have essential paperwork and wasn't allowed to check-in.
I guess every city is different.

In that situation, I wonder what one would have to produce in terms of paperwork. I guess a work id if you are a healthcare worker, etc.
.
Taking care of an elderly/sick relative is a common exception to the lockdowns, so maybe an email from such a "relative" would be acceptable? I can't imagine that law enforcement is expending any resources to enforce this. Early on in the crisis you might have been unlucky and drawn a front desk person who's a dick, but that can't be very common at this point, right?
.
In any case, I think the lockdowns are pretty much over. The more ridiculous restrictions are being lifted or struck down in court. If I'm stopped in the lobby, I'll just say that I'm seeing a hooker to protest police brutality, and I expect I'll be fine.

The last time I booked a room I didn't see any such restrictions on any hotel website, including The Ritz-Carlton.  By now no one should be asking for any such thing.

as I am getting my travel plans together some states on their hotel website they are mentioning restrictions.
Or not even open yet. But as time goes on I am sure those restrictions will be lifted.

The only extraness was them locking the front (and side) doors at all hours.
I am seeing a few hotels very slowly relax that now tho.

In some of the cities in the US.  One time I had to leave a hotel, they asked me to register at the front desk as a guest of the person I was visiting.

Curious as to the hotel, circumstances, and what you were wearing? I'm usually coming from work so I look like a businessman, suit and tie or at least a blue blazer. Not always, but you can often pick out the guy waiting for a 'date' in the lobby. Usually sitting or more likely standing near the elevators checking their phones like a nervous habit, or in a hurry like a chinese delivery guy but knowing where the elevators are located.
