There is a regular who never lets me down. When I'm with her, it's like a memory come a visiting, a ghost of the very best time of some long gone day. She never brings me the hassle of her everyday life. She leaves all that behind. Keeps it to herself. All she brings me is the best of life. Like the filet of a porterhouse, and giving the grossly side to her dog, or BF, or SO or whatever. We understand each other pretty well. Because there is nothing more to understand than our play.

With social media, if I meet someone from the past, they come complete with all their broken parts. I like my ghostly lover who comes and goes like a memory of love, lived out each time like something new.

I see women I knew in the past sometimes. The past. That is where they live. They can have the past. Once it was a beautiful place, but I like where I am now. It is good to live the life you have and not dream about other lives, not strive for anything better. My regular actually understands that. She visits like those memories some folk have. It's...like...there is nothing it can be compared with. A singularity of experience.
