Providers, how did you come up with your name? For those who had this similiar experience: when you find another provider who suddenly pops on the radar with your name. How do you handle this? Do you just ignore her posts, hoping that hobbyists will be able to determine that there are differences between you and her? Would it make you uncomfortable knowing that there is another provider in your state who is sharing your name and would you ask her to change it, since you were the first one to use the name?

However when I was new to TER there was another Vivian, which was my original name, then I changed it to Netmichelle, but people call me that or Michelle. That is why there are three names next to my reviews. I wouldn't sweat it. I would never ask a provider to change her name. There is only one *you.*

Everyone can name whatever, you cant tell them to change their name because you've got that name before her. I think It's not right.

why dont they  put some nickname beside their name, like Jade Korean, Jade OC, Jade Hollywood, Jade latina, Jade Brazilian, Jade xxx, Jade SD , Jade SF etc ...

Get a stage name, names that not a lot of people have. I chose my name Lexus, so far i havent seen any provider named Lexus ;)

I've been around for almost 2 yrs now and go by Cindy in Seattle. Close to a year ago, a lady introduced herself in my area by the name Cindy Johnston. I never considered asking her to change her name. It was hers. Mine was mine. Once in a while a gent would contact me thinking I was the other Cindy. The same probably happened to her. As long as her reputation was as great as mine, I was honored to have her as my namesake!

I've earned my stellar reputation. If another or new Cindy had a bad rep, I would change MY name! I've always had a couple back-up names in mind... just in case.

By the way, I've never had any complaints from Cyndi Lauper about using part of her name. Maybe because I spell mine differently?

Probably if you use Cindy in Seattle it's different enough from other ladies and you really don't have to worry. Even if there is another person with your first name. But if you feel that you must be unique then put a real last name to your first name, then make it really different.

I think this is a matter of etiquette. Before I started, I researched on the boards for 3-4 months... sort of just seeing how everyone does things and handles things, and also, researching names. I did not want to have a name similar to anyone else around, or start off by stepping on anyone's toes.

Unfortunately I don't think there are others who feel the same way.  Or, at the very least, others often don't bother to put any effort or tact into their name choice. PART of the reason I changed my name last August was due to a sudden influx of ladies with my previous name. No longer, could anyone on the boards simply refer to me by my first name and no more identifying information.  For me it wasn't that big a deal as I wanted to change anyways, but still... IMHO, it could have been handled a little bit better by those who wanted that name.

I also had someone posting as sexycurves on the Phoenix boards. The only reason I know was that I suddenly got a bunch of emails about how excited everyone was about my moving to Phoenix. LOL I'm not!!! (Maybe I'll tour there sometime.)  But when it's across the country... at least I can believe a bit more easily that the girl just had no idea at all.

So, in other words, sometimes I think it's an utter lack of consideration, sometimes I think people might be unaware. Maybe a NICE email explaning that the name is yours and you have a reputation built around it, and how it would be best for her and for you if you establish completely different personas would help.

Or not, it seems people often just get defensive and bitchy about this kind of stuff. But, it's worth a shot!

Hugs*

You, really can't tell another lady to change her name, as that would not be fair. It's a name and anyone can use it.

You just need to come up with an unique name that nobody else has, which is pretty easy. Me, I liked Kelly (common name) so since I sometimes, like to walk on the wild side and I'm from the west, I thought Wildwest Kelly, would make me different from everyone else.

Most all ladies, that post an the boards, have very unique names and I never get confused, as to who they are.

Just my .02 cents

Kelly~

I have to admit it was a little weird when I first seen another Ciara, especially with this type of spelling. She is from Buffalo and is a very nice lady. The strange thing is we have similar upbringings. My name, "Ciara", is actually a nickname given to me growing up, so I feel it's really my name. The shortened version "Ci Ci" was for TER purposes only because they said Ciara was already taken. Then there's "Sierra" who is a provider too -- different spelling but pronounced the same.

Hugs,
Ciara

There are TONS of Naomis, which is why I use a full moniker.  I sometimes think about changing my first name to differentiate myself even further, but I like it and have used it exclusively once I decided to make a career out of the profession and not such a small time deal!  I actually did have to straighten out a few mishaps with my picture being linked to another Naomi's ad, but it was resolved rather quickly.

Tschuss!

There are now about 4 Sydney's - not in Texas - but in HOUSTON!  Its a little frustrating, because I have earned my reputation and I do think that I have lost some business in the confusion....but if you notice, there are not very many providers with longevity...we are a rare breed.  So I figure I can wait em out!

Some of the escort listing websites ask me for my first, last, and middle initial. I always enter: Cindy N. Seattle.
