On October 15, 2003, Big Poppa Pump posted a message on "that other board's" Las Vegas board asking for hobbyist to take a moment and think about the ladies they see. To look beyond the fantasies they fill for us and to realize that these ladies have lives outside of this, that bad things happened to them, they get sick, have families and are real people. He urged people to take a moment and some way thank the ladies they have seen, talked to or exchanged e-mails with. To remember them on their birthdays and holidays.

Brownhound and I took the idea and ran with it. We felt it would be a good idea to create a holiday for the ladies and to use that day to remember them. To thank them for the wonderful times we've had and the friendship and the caring they show us

Therefore, we would like you to mark your calendar for May 2nd, 2004 as the first official National Providers Appreciation Day (NPAD). Take a moment and send an e-mail or call the ladies you've met and thank them for the great times you had, let them know that we do appreciate them, and that they are special ladies to us. Post a message on your local board thanking them. Also take a moment and remember the ladies who are no longer with us. Say a silent pray for them.

Thanks in advance for your support,

Ken

Now, how do we notify Hallmark so they can design the cards in time?

Pop up card, of course.

Seriously, though, great idea, Ken!  Some may feel that we already show our appreciation by our "business", but I think this is a nice opportunity to, as TER would put it, "go the extra mile".

Great idea guys but I have a suggestion.  Rather than May 2nd which is a Sunday what about May 1st a Saturday.  One reason, I would like to have a party for some of my hobby friends and our favorite providers and Saturday just makes a lot more sense for this kind of celibration than a Sunday.  I am serious, I'd like to see a hobby underground really make this day mean something. And for the fist year a new meaning for May Day.
