If a provider visited me at my hotel, would I offend her by offering her a drink? (Hopefully to set the "mood".) Would she think I "spiked it"?

Wow, you know I am so naive that I probably would NEVER have even thought of that. But now that you've brought it up... Stay on the safe side. Have an unopened bottle of wine ready, and offer her that... or same thing for unopened anything else!  That way she'll know at least that much is safe. But goodness... I hope no one ever tries to spike my drinks... lord knows I really don't need anything extra to help me get crazy! I mean really, what is the point of putting the date rape drug into one of OUR drinks???? Just for a longer appt??? But on the date rape drug we'd lay there like a lump on a log, what fun is that??? Just thinking out loud!

I agree 100% with Nicole. Never have the bottle already opened. It is common knowledge that in some cities, guys have slipped lady's a micki to knock them out, not to have sex with them, but to rob them. This usually happens more for lady's at in-call locations because the guy knows she probably has a lot of cash on hand. Open it in her presence and also drink before she does . Many people are not that paranoid but just incase the lady is uncomfortable, you may want to do this to avoid any suspicion or drama. I know this is a rare and extreme situation, but I also know it happens enough that some lady's will indicate that they do not drink while entertaining.

If the lady is someone who you have never seen before, you may want to try to give her as much heads up about what you are bringing or expect so that she can be prepared. While setting up the date, ask if she would be interested in you bringing some wine. If so, ask her what type SHE likes. It covers a few areas. One, you've established that it is okay or not to bring the wine. Two, she may be more comfortable if it is a kind she likes. (Wines run the spectrum of tastes). Three, you've engaged in a little small talk and know at least SOMETHING about the lady.

I don't think so on the contrary, it shows you are a Classical Gentleman.

Prior to visiting a provider for an extended period of time if it is thru an Agency or direct I ask what the lady drinks (White Wine, Merlot, Champagne, Beer, etc) and I make sure I bring one as part of the meeting.

Merlot Wine does miracles.
