Report a problem! Eom

Hi
I have a friend who is a provider.

Her location in the TER profile is listed in San Diego.

However she lives in Los Angeles, so if a client does a proximity search she doesn't show up, unless the search distance is set to 120 miles.

So, how can she change her location to Los Angeles?

Can she claim her profile and edit the location herself?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

She should be able to claim the profile and put in the problem report herself.  However, it seems to work much better and faster if someone who has reviewed her submits the problem report.

If all her ads show Los Angeles, you can do it by selection "Report a Problem" from her profile page. Make sure to reference the sites where her ads are.

Alternatively, yes she can claim her profile. But no she cannot edit it herself. She would need to open up a a Problem Report, likely the same way. Only TER admin can actually edit it.

Thank you.

I did the report the problem , and included the url of her LA page.

So hopefully it can be changed

If that doesn't work I'll get her to claim her profile and go from there

Los Angeles has much more action, than San Diego. I cater to both, and don’t mind the drive. Any provider can ask to have their profile get updated at anytime. I updated mine on a regular basis.

Also note that there are TWO location fields:
City CITY-1  ................... Other City Serviced CITY-2, CITY-3
.
I don't know how "it" works, but I think a Provider's Profile can display more than one "Other City Serviced." A Problem can specify one or the other and provide detail, e.g.,
(a) LA is still her home City but she frequently visits SD. Add SD as "Other City Serviced."
(b) She no longer lives in LA. She moved to Miami, FL and hasn't been to LA in years. CHANGE "City" from LA to Miami, FL.
.
In addition, I THINK that "Location" search results are, somehow, based on the COMPLETE review form, not just the Profile itself. That is, I have searched Location: Boston, MA and the search returned some Profiles where Boston was neither "City" nor "Other City Serviced." However, upon looking at Reviews, some reviewers put Boston in the Location field. So I THINK that the search searches not just the Profile Location but the REVIEW Location field, as well.
.
(See my Suggestion that TER change the Review Form to distinguish Geographical Location and BCD or Premises Location. For some reviewers, Location = City or Neighborhood. For others, Location = hotel or her apartment ... )

Hi
Do you have a specific e-mail address you use to contact to make changes?
Or do you do it thru the 'report a problem' tab?
Thanks

Thanks for every bodies help

As soon as I suggested the girl could maybe could claim her profile she lost interest. And as a result so have I. Unfortunate, really I thought she was worth the effort to be helped.

So I guess her location will remain in San Diego, where she's located a few weeks of the year.

As luck would have it I have a new ATF, so this one goes back to the end of the line.

Did she ask for help?
Wasted my Time
You posted a question on the General Board and subsequently submitted a Problem Report. 10 minutes of your time, wasted, if that?
As luck would have it I have a new ATF, so this one goes back to the end of the line
You suggested to her that she join TER, and she said no thanks. Your response was to drop her as an ATF? There’s got to be more to the story because as it stands it seems like a bit of an overreaction, no?

work in the same city where they live.  Many have SO's or family where they live and don't want to risk having a customer walk up and start talking to them at the grocery store or some other place where they go.  I have known many girls who had their residences in one city and worked in another.  Several I know maintain a residence in LA but work for two weeks at a time in the Bay Area, where they are not likely to have the same customers due to the distance.

1. Did you SEARCH reviews using her name but NO LOCATION in the location field? Maybe one or more recent reviewer entered LA as the location. It doesn't show up in her Profile, but it might cause her Profile to turn up from the search.
.
2. Some Providers want to stay on the down low or UTR in their home town.  They will advertise more openly in OTHER cities ... and want to keep it that way.

Yea probably an over reaction.

The girls Thai, I've bent over backwards helping her and her friends.

They were in Newport Beach playing Volleyball a few years ago. Guess who they called when they couldn't their car started (Flat battery) As always I was more then happy to help

The girl in question I've even asked if at the end of a late night session if she was hungry and could I go and get some takeout. Couple a times we've enjoyed pizza together.

So a bit disappointed when there was an issue where I could really help and was I guess rebuffed. I know she moves around a lot as she doesn't get enough customers in LA. Which I think is partially because of the location issue.

I was going to write a review for her, so I could then 'report a problem' with the provider
I asked her to make sure her ad based in LA was up so the TER ad reviewer could read the ad, and then when I reported the problem could reference the ad. Her ad was up for a few hours then gone, so I couldn't complete the review.

Sure in this particular endeavour I haven't expended much time. But I don't think my Thai friend did the bare minimum to play along and help

Here is the sad truth. She just wants your $$$. You aren't going to get a freebie for everything else you do for her.

Curious, is this Thai person a female of a TS/Ladyboy?

none of the girls I know have family here. I suspect most are here and supporting families back in Thailand or the Philippines. Not uncommon.

A Philipino friend has told me that Thai families are more then willing to send their off spring (male and female) to be exploited in tourist hot spots in Thailand, or even over here in the US. Very transactional.

--------------------------

The only exception is a girl in the OC, she's popped up on my Facebook feed, looking at her family and friends, their all local to where she works (an AMP) she evidently either doesn't care or worry she might be exposed. Potentially the family may know.

they are a legit masseuse, no extras or happy endings, and the families WANT to believe this.  AMP's are a different scene than an AAMP, which is two girls working out of an apartment incall selling full service.

Yup, nothing stops a dude from getting from point A to point B like a flat battery or a dead tire....Glad you were able to help a guy out though.

Ok, so evidently I was successful, the location was changed to Los Angeles.

And before you ask I didn't get anything in return, and neither did I ask.

It baffling after reading all your posts. If she didn’t care about her TER profile why do you? It’s weird. If she didn’t mind her location why did you jump through hoops to have it changed? Weird.

Well it's fairly simple.

I don't have a problem helping people who may not be up to helping their selves. Very likely she wouldn't know how to navigate TER. Maybe it wasn't that big an issue to her.

And in the scheme of things it wasn't that much trouble. The TER mods are evidently quite busy so it took several attempts to get their attention.

I probably got frustated when there wasn't reason too. I'm human, (last time I checked)
