..ok new topic people; what the hell, I go through all this effort and make sure I dont just "see" anyone, I dont discuss illegalities on the phone or via email, nothing illegal on my site, I have a disclaimer for age and prostitution.... yet and still someone thinks they should try and bust me!

I got a call the yesterday day from someone, he didnt sound very much like a client, he sounded mean and creepy so that already set my alarm off; then we get to talking-- first he wouldn't tell me where he heard about me, then I told him to send me an email of what time he wanted to see me, along with a discreet landline phone number to his job for verification, and (since he was a local) a reference from some provider out here that he has seen. So he starts to get antsy and says "well all I wanted was some prices, and what they were for, you now for like a blow job or something", and so I tell him that I dont offer sexual services, just my time, and I don't say prices; he responds with "well I mean its ok, Im not a cop". Bingo! Im thinking, ok bonehead, like Im really gonna answer you now. So I politely told him, no and asked him to send the email I told him about. He tried to get me to talk more about money and more about sex, and I just told him I had to go. Of course I never got the email....

Ok so heres my question-- no, Im not an idiot I know they will try anyway they can no matter what-- Im just wondering what other methods can be applied to my work ethic in the future to keep me safe and warm and out of danger of loosing my freedom! Whether they be for my site, for my phone convo, for my actual meetings-- whatever they may be! I would like to know them! I wanna make sure I dot ALLLLLLL my "I"s and cross ALLLLLL my "T"s. For some reason this little episode has me a bit shaken, so any advice be you client or provider, I would like it pleeeeaaaase....

In the Chicago area LE uses blocked calls but as of Sept 1 there is technology that makes the cell phone have and # that you want.  When they hang up call for the area code and if its 202 it's D.C. District of Criminals.  They will also try and get you to bring a friend and offer to pay by check RICO and conspiracy!!  Use your gut feeling and if no references, hang up.  They LE look at you as a soft target.  If they go up against a Drug Dealer they could not collect a check on friday.  The election is coming up so a few busts looks good for the powers that be.  This makes it hard for the real hobbist out there.

By using strong verification (work phone main exchange that leads to his desk number, not a desk extension, references and not discussing prices or services before a person is verified).  Also, when contacted, you had the dicipline to stick with your rules.  It is very difficult for a disciplined person to fall into traps.  If the guy was a cop, you did not let the dollar signs blind you, good decision - some other provider probaly fell for it and wishes that she had not now.
Typically when you call the main exchange number that you are given, an announcement of the company's name and, sometimes, location will be given.  What you should do is stop there, carefully record the name and insure that you have the spelling right, then hangup before reaching the potential client's desk number.  Once you have the company's name and location (if location is given), go to the Web and Google the name.  Carefully read the information and look for main exchange numbers of other offices or branches.  Try calling some of those (if they exist) to confirm that the company is for real.  Large and medium sized companies will normally have more than one office or branch.  Smaller companies may have only one branch but once you have Googled their main website, you can extract information like the business that the company is in, information which will allow you to Google some more to find out more information that will allow yu to confirm that the company is real.  If cops go about setting up shell after shell companies, then they have too much time on their hands and probaly should look into serving the public in a different way.  Once you are comfortable that the company does in fact exist and is real, then you can go back the the main exchange number that you were given and ultimately contact the potential client.  If your website mention fees, refer him there if he asks over the phone.  Do not discuss services at any time before both of you are into a session.  All of this stuff will take maybe a couple of hours, but it beats paying thousands of dollars out in legal fees and having your record damaged.
If a potential client is unwilling to give you adequate information to verify him, always walk away, regardless of how bad you feel you need the money.
Information that you put on your website about not engaging in prostitution is useless as protection.  Your protection will come through verification procedures that you use when contacted by someone.
