Does this mean intercourse without a condom? I saw on one of the TER surveys that 43% of those that replied have done this with a provider! Who would do such an absolutely crazy thing? Am I missing something?

However it seems to me that the 43% who do bbfs (if they are telling the truth) do not know is that what would be much faster and painless would be a self induced 9mm brain hemorrhage....the end result is the same.
Thank You

about how it was asked.  It's pretty dang clear.

There's three conclusions that I can think of:

There are a bunch of guys who visit the site who like to screw  around with the survey results and the results are wrong.
(oh please oh please oh please!  but doubtful)
or
There are 43% of guys who visit the site that have or are partaking in unprotected intercourse with willing providers
or
that there are a bunch of guys who think "full service" means their climax.  I've talked to one or two fellows who've used the term "Full Service" but were referring to their orgasim as opposed to the activity.  (Indicating they think bbbj to completion is included in the FS definetion.)
(oh please oh please oh please...)

I remember being startled when I first saw that survey as well.
Makes you want to follow guys around with an acid-dip for their cocks.

You also have to remember that many participants in this hobby have been at it for a while.  20 years ago (hell, 15 years ago even) condoms were expected but not required.  Many a hobbyist and casual seeker of sex participated in doing the deed sans protection.

Aids/HIV just started hitting the scene during the Reagan administration, and back then it was mainly considered a disease of homosexual males.  Nobody that was "straight" considered it very much; back then Herpes was the worst culprit and any other STD could be cured by antibiotics.

It was a simpler time back then.

Thanks.  That actually makes me breathe a bit easier...I was only thinking "currently".  Of course.  (It's like the Napoleon question in a nearby thread!)

I guess that is a flaw in the question, considering the discussion we're having.

The question would've benefitted with a multiple choice answer...something with time periods involved...

"Have you participated in BBFS?"
 A. Yes, in the last two weeks.
 C. Yes, within the last 5 years.
 D. Yes, over a decade ago.
 E. Never

Something like that...

...then why'd everyone jump on me when I posted what I had? kidding...

No seriously though-- that isnt safe at all, but people still take the risk; sometimes they are prompted to because they feel comfortable or they feel like they can trust someone. But what difference it makes when you feel like you know someone better, I will never know. If you did it the first time, why not the second or third-- you dont know what that person does when youre not there. And if they do it with you, they would do it someone else-- you are not special... But I wont go on repeating stuff that people already know... I cant tell you why people do what they do...

I find it very hard to believe that 43% have participated in BBFS.  I don't know of anyone I have ever been on a date with offer it.  Besides, it is just Russian Roulette.  Crazy!!!!!

You hit the nail right on the head Dani. If they do it with you they'll do it with someone else..and there lies the problem. HIV aside, it really is not that easy to catch for a healthy person, but who the hell wants all the other nasties out there ?

We seem to have this clown in Boston who is hell bent on this type of behavior. Lucky us eh ?

I don't know any lady that would offer it either.  I wasn't in the hobby 15 years ago but I was having "relations" and the mentality of safe sex and condoms was completely different, of course.
I'm 45 years old.  I think, reading a different survey, that I am a little younger than the average hobbyer.  So I can imagine a high percent of guys have experienced bbfs over 15 to 20 years ago.  I sure hope that's the case because the alternative is nasty for all of us.
